Love these donuts definitely the best in Lansing. Had them for the first time at hops and holes a few years ago at the lug nuts stadium and have loved them ever since. Whenever we can my wife and I will grab a few donuts and theyre always fresh and amazing. Highly recommend and will definitely be back.

Vegan Paczki!! Vegan cream, blueberry and apple. Glazed and powdered sugared. They are smaller and cost more than the regular paczki, of course. They were really good. The cream was thick like frosting.

Delicious donuts. Good customer service mostly. I like the online ordering. The only annoying part is while they are busy they will make in-person folks wait for a phone call-in order. Guess good way to skip the line but annoying for those standing there. Online orders require 24 hour notice. Maybe that needs to apply for phone orders as well and utilize voice mail more during busy times. That being said the donuts are the best, and Ive eaten way too many than I probably should.

I have been coming here for years as have my whole family. I think between us we have tried them all but we all have favorites we go back to. Aside from donuts, the apple fritters should not be missed.

I enjoyed my visit at Groovy Donuts, they offer a wide variety of pastries, I had the cherry Bismarck 🍒& a apple fritter, they were very delicious, the staff is very friendly and helpful and knowledgeable, this was my first time eating here, looking forward to returning soon.☺

There is no better donut shop in the area. The variety here alone puts most other places to shame. Ive not had a single donut here that I wasnt wowed by! Their gluten free donuts are beyond outstanding. Coming from eating GF donuts all around Chicago for the last year, I have to say these are they best Ive ever had. As far as cake donuts go, I dont believe anyone could taste the difference. Their GF practices are great, very Celiac friendly.

Stopped in a few weeks ago to get some donuts to deliver to family to celebrate a few birthdays. They get boxed up nicely and are presented well, so it worked for a birthday present :) We did go later in the morning, so not all of the choices were still available (but thats awesome for them!). Go early if you want more choices, but go no matter what!

This is a recommended spot on the MI donut trail and I could tell why even with their limited selection. If youre coming here to pick and choose from a large variety make sure you arrive early. Unfortunately due to covid theyve had to reduce hours and just dont produce as much as they used to. I enjoyed the conversation I had with the staff. The service here is very nice. I was disappointed about my options but I understood. I did end up getting the donut of the day or week which was a Chocolate Genius Donut and it was very delicious. Id look forward to trying more at earlier times in the morning and when they can really open back up to normal again. Great donuts thou.

Nice selection of donuts with very nice staff. They dont mind the probably endless Homer Simpson jokes and actually look to enjoy their jobs. Not bad prices either. Highly recommended for your weekend sweet tooth or to be the star of the office meeting.

Extremely disappointed in the selection for a Sunday morning at 10am. They lacked any of the classic flavors most expect in their dozen. They did have an overflow of vegan and gluten free options but the regular donuts we managed to fill our box with, were average at best. Save some money and go somewhere else

These donuts are extremely tender with great flavor, especially the traditional flavors. Some of their weekly donuts are lacking in flavor, e.g. strawberry margarita glaze is just not as vibrant tasting as Id hope. Not a big deal. I really appreciate that their donuts are on the average/smaller size because Id rather have 2-3 different flavors than just 1 large donut like some local shops bake. Some of my favorites are the honeymoon (traditional glazed), raspberry jelly filled, pumpkin spice with cream cheese frosting, and the cherry-apple fritter. Ive had almost all of their daily donuts except vegan and gluten free, and theyre all satisfying. Service is friendly and leaves you feeling like they truly appreciate your business. Great local business!

They have best donuts ever. Unfortunately since receiving grant money they dont want to work as much and are hardly ever open and limited quantities they make so sold out within 2-3 hours of being open.

Outside it looks very plan, but inside it is beautiful. Simple, neat, and filled with a lot of love. This place has a variety of doughnuts and they are all delicious. I do not prefer the hot chocolate since its more on bitter plan side. I like my drinks really sweet so take my drink comment with a grain of salt. The cashier was friendly. I like to look for the three Ts when looking at how to rate a donut. Taste, Texture and Timing.Taste, these are some of the best tasting donuts you are going to find, and the sheer amount of variety will give everyone at least 1 or 2 favorites.Texture, come on we have all had that donut from somewhere that looks like a great donut but when you sink your teeth into what is meant to be Gods greatest creation, the texture ruins the whole experience. THIS IS NOT the case with Groovy Donuts, texture is perfect! Not to fluffy and flaky, not to hard and crunchy, just a good solid soft yet firm texture.Timing, how long is a good donut good? I have had pretty good donuts that if you eat 2-3 hours after being made fresh are complete garbage by that point. Well I am on some donuts that are over 24 hours old and they are still fresh!All in all I cant recommend this place enough, if you are looking for a delicious, fresh tasting this is the only place you need to go!

The staff are always super friendly and I think that the actual donuts are better than a lot of other places or chains. They always have a speciality donut relating to the season or an event going on. Plus, the atmosphere is absolutely GROOVY

Lots of donuts to choose from. The East Lansing location has more room available to sit and enjoy your donuts with your family and friends. A little busy on the weekends but you never have to wait too long.

First time trying this place. Limited selection of fry cakes and yeast donuts. The filled donuts were really good! The fried iced donuts were okay flavor but looked so pretty. They all kind of had the same taste even though they were supposed to be different flavors. We plan on going back and trying again.

I LOVE the gingerbread doughnuts and was overjoyed to have Christmas in July 🎄🎆 Doughnuts are always fresh and staff is very friendly.

The owner is a very nice human being. I had a small issue and sent him an email that night and he sent a nice email the very next morning. He offered everything in his power to rectify the situation and was truly sincere about it. The donuts are delicious, fresh, and not the least bit greasy. They only use quality ingredients as you can tell by the delicious taste. Definite place to go every time to get your donut fix!

Yummy pastries. Usually get the blueberry donuts which are crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. Yesterday I had the cherry apple fritter. These things are huge but not heavy like you would think. The dough was really soft a cakey. Definitely a comfort food.

I was very sad that the only coffee they offer now is drip coffee! The donuts are great tasting, even the gluten free ones are really good! But I just wish theyd have cappuccinos and lattes, its definitely not the same without a fancy cup of coffee.

Cherry apple fritter was crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside; delicious. Also had The Elvis and the sweet cream filling was light and fluffy, and it had just the right amount of peanut butter and banana flavor that wasnt overpowering. 10/10 would recommend.

Great donuts. The hard part is figuring out which kind to get, because there are dozens of different kind, and they all looked good. I decided on the Long John, and it was a meal in and of itself. Tasted great and they didnt skimp on the cream. The staff were enthusiastic and helpful.

Every time I order from here via GrubHub or doordash they dont have the things I order in stock. One time I ordered a half dozen cherry donuts and they didnt have enough so they put in regular donuts without telling me until my order arrived. Things like this have happened twice. Its very annoying. Donuts are pretty good though, but the yeast ones can be somewhat bitter. 2 stars

Fresh and yummy donuts. Love their coffee as well. The decor is really cool and the coffee mugs to purchase have Dennis Prestons artwork on them. Just wish their donut selection was a bit bigger.

We used to love this place, but something happened over the last couple of months. The blueberry donuts are now flat, dense hockey pucks. Donuts are under cooked (had a red velvet that was a raw in the center) and selection is minimal when we come in. We come in anywhere from 7 to 9:00 am. I wouldnt think that this would be too late for a good selection. I will continue to come every now and again hoping for what it used to be......

I just stopped in the East Lansing location, and the service was excellent! The young lady working was cheerful, patient, and knew what all the donuts were. There was a woman in front of me with 2 kids and she described the donuts for the kids in a way they could understand. Kudos to the employee!

My favorite donut place in the Lansing area. Their donuts are delicious and the staff is always fun and pleasant to talk to. My absolute favorite is the vanilla espresso donut, but I’ve never had one there I didn’t like. My only possible complaint is that they seem to run out of some of the more specialty donuts pretty fast, but that’s only a testament to how good they are!

We normally get donuts from Tim Hortons because it is the closest place to us. However, their donuts arent very good and the service is terrible. I finally got to the point that I decided to find a new donut place. I just googled best donuts in lansing and Groovy Donuts was on the list. Boy am I glad it was. I got an assortment of donuts. Most of them were fresh, light and fluffy.....absolutely delicious. It only gets 4 stars becuase the vanilla cake with frosting (both green and purple) had a very strange flavor that was off putting. It was definitely coming from the frosting and all four of us had the same reaction. No biggie, we just wont get those in the future. All of the other donuts were awesome and worth the short drive from Dewitt. We definitely have a new donut shop!

Great coffee and donuts! They also have a great line up of different Sodas if you prefer. The inside is like a flashback into the 70s with the sweet aroma of donuts. Yummm 😍
