Petro Home Services always takes care of their customers, we are customers for 3 years now and we never have been dissatisfied. They clean our furnace every year and will always reach out to us first when general furnace maintenance is due and it is included in the oil delivery program they offer! We are loyal customers for sure!

I have been very disappointed with Petro. When I first signed up whit them I did so because of a mailer offering a free $100 of oil to contract with them so I did. When the year was up and it came time to renew they kept calling me and pestering to renew my price lock with them. When I inquired further I found out that not signing the contract meant that they would deliver at market whatever it happened to be at the time, but I could lock my price in. Locking the price in cane out at somewhere near $0.40 a gallon to lock in!!! so I said no thanks I will stick with market. that was in spring so I never really noticed until my first oil delivery this fall and the price was north of $3.50 a gallon!!! I called other suppliers and found that actual market in my area was $2.09, an entire 40% lower than Petros price! I made other calls around and ultimately had contracting with someone else on my to-do list but didnt cancel Petro before they made my next delivery $3.58 a gallon! One quick call where they told me that there isnt a market price, that is OUR price and I canceled. I will not be back

Mechanics often come unprepared for service calls. It took 3 separate appointments to get a sight glass on a boiler replaced and even the third mechanic had to go back out and get the proper parts. 3 separate occasions of missed work luckily they were slow on the third try and were able to go get the parts and come back. It’s worth mentioning that after the first appointment without the right parts I called the day prior to my appointment to check and make sure the repair was entered properly and the mechanic would have the right parts. Unfortunately this did nothing. After speaking to petro about this they offered to discount our service contract for the next year instead of upping the price as they normally do every year. This was great except for the fact that it then took 2 or 3 follow up phone calls to have our bill reflect the discounted amount we were told we would be getting. I think the third and final straw for this being our last year with petro was when they stopped regularly delivering oil every month to the point where I had to take time out of my day yet again to contact them and schedule a delivery. Thankfully I noticed before we ran out. Sadly we went with petro on the recommendations of a few close friends have been greatly disappointed.

Very experienced people who go above and beyond for you and your home. I would recommend to all you are in good hands with Petro. Im a first time homeowner I had issue with my boiler and they walked me through the whole process and cleaned my boiler. No rush and really took their time to ensure everything was working properly. Honestly I recommend to all trust with confidence.

Horrible! I tried using them for two years, each time there was a problem. They over charged me by a couple hundred dollars when I signed up, delivered me more oil then I needed, which meant a higher bill. When I called to cancel they basically wouldnt let me and stated we will notify you when we will deliver to your home. So what do they do, deliver me $500 worth of oil at the end of February, I only use oil for heat, which they are aware of. They dont care about their customers, they only care about money. I will never use them again, and I will make sure to tell me friends and neighbors how horrible they are.

The yearly tune up and general inspection was done when I wasnt home, despite the fact that I set up a date for it. They canceled and showed up on a different date and time. No good!!!!!

Heres what will most likely happen if you try to be smart and lock in a low rate through a full year contract. They will call you almost every day to convince you that they are locking you into a low rate range that will be sure to go up in the fall if you dont take advantage and that prices are going up as you speak. My offer was $1.64 with a ceiling of $2.01. They give you a super low first time delivery rate, ($1.39 in my case) which they honor. However, all their deliveries after this go automatically into their ceiling rate! I got a second delivery and I was truly expecting to have it at their lowest promised price of $1.64 since the rates in the market at the time were at $1.34 -$1.49! I called the company and when I expressed my disappointment with their practice, they transferred me to three different people since the first two seemed unable to respond to my allegations. The third person was a woman who was clearly ready to play bad cop against my demands and from the beginning used a very cold tone letting me know that they include their services into the price. She was claiming that theyre offering more than other companies and their rates were way higher than $2.01 at the time and therefore me being charged cap was actually a good deal and every company is different. When I continued to push back on the fact that the market price was way lower than that, and I should have gotten charged at least my low end of the price range, she immediately went on to tell me, I want to remind you that you ARE in a contract with us for a full year. I could not believe it! I do have the right to a free maintenance visit, so while I was discouraged from continuing to argue back, I asked her to schedule this appointment. The soonest time was in January! That was 3 months away! (Had I waited any longer to schedule, they wouldve probably stated that my contract would be over by the time they could get anyone out, so I wouldnt get the service unless I renewed.) Trying to get out of the contract comes at a $600 price (which Im better off using on oil delivery). So yes, I am stuck in a contract until next spring. I will definitely make sure to remember her words when they call again when its time for renewal.

From the customer service down to the technicians, I have absolutely no complaints about working with Petro. We had gone without hot water due to the recent storm and tried to troubleshoot ourselves, but had no luck of course. When I called Petro, they sent someone out to our home the SAME day! And now we have hot water, and the best thing I did was pay extra for the service agreement! Couldnt have been more pleased with the service we recieved!

Absolutely awesome! I called them at 2a.m. to schedule a appointment that wasnt a emergency. They had someone out that day and solved the problem fast. The tech was friendly. He cleaned up everything. I cant say enough about my experience!

Great service as always! Our hot water tank developed a leak over Memorial Day weekend, and Petro sent someone within an hour to make the repair. Our serviceman was polite, efficient and very professional. We are grateful.

Weve been very happy with Petro. A reasonable introductory rate which they did not try to hike ridiculously after the first year like another company weve used. And when we needed service the technician was punctual, polite, and got the job done very quickly and efficiently. Very happy!

They came out to check my furnace & charged $50.00.The service guy was rude & just looked at my furnace & said I need a new one. He said the front plate that was leaking would be difficult to replace because the bolts would break & I needed a plumber. He didnt bother checking the rest of the furnace like the 3 circulators. He didnt even touch my furnace & just left saying I need a new one.Well my son bought the leaky plate on line & he removed the one rusty one with no problem & put the new one on. Hes not a plumber. Then called Petri back to tell them I got it repaired & of they would come out & check the rest of furnace. They refused & said that they cant service me because I didnt buy oil from them. I said then why did you take my money & come out the first time??? No explanation! Worst company ever!!I called M. J. Edmonds they serviced it & said its runs efficiently for only $211. Far cry from a new furnace!!!

I didnt even want to give them one star. Petro is an unbelievable scam, taking advantage of those who have oil heat - they lock you in to a great rate if you agree to their fill up service (they check monthly and fill) and then without warning or justification the locked in rate is gone and youre paying almost double. On top of this, they DO NOT respond to emergency calls. TWICE in the past year we have run out of oil, causing our pipes to freeze. On the first occasion, there was no one at Petro even answering the phones. We had guests staying at our house and were forced to call another company for an emergency fill. THEN PETRO CHARGED US OVER $400 FOR USING ANOTHER COMPANY! Oh, and if you dont open your mail for a day? Prepare for a late fee because payment is due upon receipt. Seriously, they send letters dated THREE DAYS after the invoice! I DETEST this company and am thrilled that we are finally able to stop using them as their terms and conditions are so predatory you get charged for trying to end service with them as well. THEY ARE ONLY CONCERNED ABOUT YOUR MONEY.

Made a call to Petro for no heat or hot water at 8:15 am. I was given an arrival time of a technician at between 11:30 am and 2:30 PM.At 2:15, the tech hadnt arrived, so I called Petro back. They responded that the tech was running a little late and should arrive by 3:00 pm. The tech finally arrived at 4:35 pmThe tech found the problem quickly. A plastic motor coupling had cracked. He stated that the cracked coupling was the improper size ( too short ). This coupling was the identical part that was replaced by Petro on a prior no heat service call. The tech replaced the part, our heat and hot water were restored, and the tech was on his way.I understand that the fall is a busy time for home heating units. However, waiting for over 8 hours was unacceptable. Petro should have more manpower available for the volume of service calls that they are taking on. Also, an update about tech arrival times should be made to the customer. I waited over ,six hours for a technician, which wasted my entire day. Lastly, to learn that the cause of the problem was the wrong part installed by Petro infuriated me. My time is valuable as well! Petro needs to step up their service game.

Stay away! The most unprofessional staff on the planet. Please do yourself a favor and continue to look for a more reputable business. Staff is always contradicting themselves. Unless you dont mind paying $300 a month for oil in the summer ($3600 a yr) find a better oil provider.

Petro has been taking advantage of my 80 year old mother for the last month. She is a recent widow and my step father always took care of the account. The petro truck destroyed a wall in her yard and they said send a picture and a quote, then they said they (Kwiese Morland) had to send someone out to inspect the damage...since that time they have promised an appointment to come out 5 times while my mother waited patiently, each time she got the run around because they thought they could take advantage of a poor little widow..not cool at all, wonder how many others they try to take advantage of?

Been a customer for over 2 years after they took over our old supplier. Roped us into a so-called variable pricing plan with a price ceiling and proceeded to charge us the plan ceiling for the length of the contract, a price $1-1.50 per gallon more than competing companies. When I complained they stated that they would let us out of the contract for a $399 cancellation fee. I complained vociferously, and without notice they unilaterally cancelled our plan (without me ever telling them to) and sent us an extra bill for $399. Review sites are LOADED with people complaining about the exact or similar treatment. They misrepresent the true nature of the plan in order to trick you into signing and proceed to use the contract as a license to price gouge and rip you off until your plan expires or you pay $399. Unscrupulous, unethical, surly and unbending... what more can I say... ABSOLUTELY stay clear... 1 star is WAY too generous...

Had a problem with my oil furnace. Called for service and they were out there the same day within a few short hours. They diagnosed the problem quickly and fixed it. Have been using these great people for years for annual tune ups and wouldnt consider anyone eles.
