Every person I came into contact with at The Granite City was helpful, knowledgeable and courteous. Tavares and Stephanie are accommodating, clearly very knowledgeable and willing to share input when asked. The staff who measure and install are equally as knowledgeable and accommodating. We have several animals who were periodically wandering into their workspace which did not appear to be an issue at all. I dont even know where to start, we had such a great experience! We have worked with The Granite City (Anthony) for over a year now and since we first walked in everyone there was so kind and helpful (the genuine kind, not that fake “I want to sell you something” kind). That same day we purchased 2 slabs of granite but we werent ready to start the kitchen. They held onto our granite for 1 year until we were ready. No other place would have even considered doing that. Once the project got started everything went so smoothly. We even had a broken cabinet that wasnt The Granite City fault and they got us a new one in 1 week (which might seem like a long time but it was a custom cabinet which normally takes a lot longer than 1 week). They fought to do the right thing without us even asking. We also had a complex custom granite put up as a backsplash behind the stove (goes all the way up to the ceiling, with a hood installed on it) and they made it perfect. They supported it well and made it look so nice. The entire crew at The Granite City is professional and knowledgeable. When we couldnt get out of work by their closing time Anthony stayed extra hours for us. Anthony personally came and watched the installation happen. There was impressive coordination and above and beyond customer service at very affordable prices. If I could write a 6 star review, I would!Anthony was great at helping me choose the perfect slab of quartz that was even more beautiful in my kitchen. The whole process was easy and I liked having a showroom and granite/quartz selection area that was clean and very up scale. I had to have two different crews come to my house for install. It was smooth on both ends. I really like that Angel and his crew were professional and very much the perfectionists (like me) and they were honest with me in making sure the counters were perfect. They really were a joy to have in my home and they were great to work with.I am still in love with the look and feel of the quartz. I am telling everyone to consider quartz. My kitchen is not complete yet, but I promise to post pictures so that everyone can see the beautiful results of what a help of a professional granite company can do for the look of a kitchen. I give Granite City a 5 star review, hands down! We just finished renovating our kitchen and powder room, and the minute we walked into Granite City, we knew we were in good hands. Anthony was our salesman, and he was very helpful but never pushed us to go with any product on site. We did find our granite at a distributor and Anthony had it delivered to their site. The price he gave us was far below a competitor for the same piece of granite! We liked doing business with Anthony so much that we also purchased our sinks, bathroom tile, and vanity top at Granite City. After the granite arrived, Anthony arranged for it to be standing outside so we could view the piece in natural light. Throughout the entire process, Anthony was just awesome no matter how often I called with questions. When we realized we were ahead of schedule with the cabinet install, Anthony was able to move up our Granite installation by several days. The person who did the template arrived at the exact time he was scheduled for, and gave us a few options. The installation was also done very professionally and looks amazing. As the installers were leaving, I realized they hadnt brought the grid for the bottom of the sink that we had purchased, and they apologized and told me to call Anthony because they have them in stock. I called and instead of having me run to East Hartford to pick it up, Anthony personally delivered it the next day after his work day. And...we dont live on his way home, but rather in the opposite direction of where Anthony lives. He went above and beyond for sure. We couldnt be happier with our kitchen and our experience with Granite City. We highly recommend you do business with them.

The Granite City was recommended to us by our cabinet maker. We worked with Anthony, who is extremely professional, to plan our new granite counter tops. The selection of granite was extraordinary and the price range of each piece was indicated on the slab using a star system with 1 star being less expensive and 5 stars being more pricey. This was valuable in knowing the price range we were in at all times.Once the granite was selected, we met with Anthony again to see the proposed layout and where the seams would be located based upon potential cuts of the stone.This computer program used our slabs and we could cut and place our granite in any configuration that we preferred. The program showed the final results as if the granite was already installed in our kitchen. This process was amazing.Once the agreed upon cuts were accepted by us, the counter tops were cut in the shop in accordance to the template we developed with Anthony and readied for installation.Upon installation, every step was taken to protect our home as the technicians installed our new counter tops. They took tremendous care to ensure the seams were seamless.The overall value was great, the service by Anthony and his team was great and the technicians were extremely professional. The level of care of the installers cannot be overstated. These guys worked hard and did everything necessary to complete the perfect installation.While we never met with the owner, we believe that he knew everything we were doing and provided us with an exceptional value. I drove 50 miles to get to Granite City based on the reviews. And it was worth it! Working with Sarah was wonderful. I had brought a cabinet door with me to match and Sarah went right to the slabs of granite she thought would be the best matches for it. She and I decided to go for her favorite choice even though it was definitely not the most expensive. Then she totally surprised me by immediately putting a SOLD on it. I got to pick out the actual slab! The install was flawless. All I can say is get a price from somewhere else if you want, but make the trip to Granite City before you buy.

The Granite City installed granite counter tops in two of my investment properties in West Hartford. The work was done correctly and on time. This investment allowed me to increase rents and added to the value of my property.

I would not recommend using this company to install your granite. We had problems from the beginning. Even though Anthony did his best to rectify all that went wrong, the stress and final product is not worth it. We ended up getting our granite out of state and getting it shipped to Granite City for the fabrication. After spending all this time to create a template for our kitchen, the granite was not cut to what was agreed upon. The two huge imperfections that we did not want in our cut out ended up being included in the final product (they cut it the way they wanted to). We noticed this after the installation and a large portion of the kitchen had to be redone (it was done within 2 weeks of the mess up). There was hardly anything left of the granite when we had to go to the second template so we ended up with a portion of the granite we did not want. Needless the say, it does not flow or match the right side as our original template would have. In addition to this, the pencil edge on the second installation does not match the rest of the granite that was installed initially (the second half of the kitchen). It was cut with a very sharp edge and actually chipped the same night of installation! Needless to say we are not happy with the results and had lots of aggravation and stress because of this. We asked Anthony to have the owner contact us regarding this, but he has not called us back (and probably never will now that they have our money). There was no compensation or offers to refund at least a portion of our money after all the problems we had to deal with. The owner obviously could care less. I was hopeful with this company because all the good reviews I saw online, but beware...the quality of work and communication between their employees is not good, resulting in problems and unwanted results.

We shopped all around the area, and found some stunning pieces, but Granite Citys selection, really excellent prices, and Anthony in particular was fantastic! He was so knowledgeable, helpful and fun to work with- through the whole process he never rushed us and gave lots of visuals and helpful suggestions. And the guys who did the measuring and installs really knew their stuff, and had great workmanship. So glad we went with them!

I had a bathroom redone in August 2013 with granite and my bathroom looks amazing. The people at Granite City esp Sarah were so helpful, polite and accurate with cost. The template was done by Mohamed and the guys that delivered and installed were just as awesome. With that said, I had a quartz countertop and island installed just this April 2014 and LOVED it. The prices are terrific but they are worth so much more and I did compare costs. Both times I should mention my sinks were included in the price - not sure if you need to spend a certain amount but those look just as expensive and perfect as the rest of my rooms do. I have no more rooms that need anything but I would go back a million times if I needed to. Ask for Sarah, she will take you through each step by step.

My husband and I went to many locations and looked at what seemed like 100s slabs of granite for a kitchen remodel. Granite City had one we both agreed on at a great price. From the initial design to install took about 2 weeks. The staff at Granite city were very helpful and listened to what we envisioned. The men doing the installation were knowledgeable and professional. We have 47 square feet of counter space and only one seam in the granite, so you can imagine how big the pieces were. We were holding our breath, but they knew what they were doing. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

We worked with Sarah Latour at the Granite City to for the renovation of our condo kitchen and baths. We had a very specific marble in mind and prior to working with Sarah had a lot of difficulty. She not only helped identify distributors that could meet our needs but took it upon herself to travel to these distributors to verify that the materials were suitable choices thus saving us time and frustration. Sarah is extremely knowledgeable and instilled confidence that things would be done appropriately. She was always customer focused and went above and beyond what one would normally expect. We visited several retailers once we decided to replace our corian kitchen countertops with granite and ultimately selected Granite City. In our view, Granite City not only offered the best selection, it presented it in a way that was easy to navigate, assess and compare. Moreover, its prices were fair and reasonable. Aside from that, and what proved to be most important to us in the end, was the knowledge, insight and customer service Anthony and his team provided. Anthony was engaged and helpful from the moment we first walked in. He listened and guided without being pushy and he patiently worked with us for several months until we finally found what we wanted. At that point, he offered helpful insight with respect to replacing corian with granite (there is a height differential), edging and re-designing our island. Unfortunately, we had a mutual miscommunication with respect to the size of our island and although it was beautifully cut and perfectly installed, it was smaller than what we were expecting. Needless to say, when Anthony called on the evening of our install to see what we thought, he seemed almost more disappointed than we were when we explained that while the workmanship was beautiful, the size of the island was just not right. Instead of writing us off as a job completed and paid for, which he easily could have done, particularly given our part in the miscommunication, Anthony worked with us for several more months to find the same stone (there was not enough left over from the slabs used for our first install to cut another island), have a new island cut and have it installed. Now, we have exactly what we want. In fact, the island has transformed our kitchen and it really exceeds our expectations. The same can be said for Anthony’s commitment to ensuring this result. He was beyond fair with pricing and when all was said and done, he came out to see the finished product himself. He wanted to make sure the stone was a good match given that the slabs were from two different shipments, months apart. In fact, the match is perfect. We cannot say enough about the positive experience we had with Anthony and his team at Granite City.

We have had our new countertops from Granite City for over a year now and we couldnt be happier with them! We were able to bring a large sample home, which was SO helpful since granite often looks very different in the warehouse than it does in your own lighting. We went back-and-forth many times when deciding how big to make our island and ledge, where to put the seams, how tall to make the backsplash, etc. Mo and Sarah were extremely patient and helpful and the end result is amazing! The installers were very experienced and did a great job and the sink that came with the granite is great (nice and deep!). I have only good things to say about Granite City! We were originally going to go through Home Depot but it was actually quite a bit cheaper to go through Granite City and they gave us such great personalized attention, I cant even believe we considered Home Depot. A friend had recommended Granite City to us and we are very glad we listened to him!

My wife and I remodeled our kitchen in 2014. We went to Granite City on the recommendation of a neighbor and worked with Anthony. He was on the same page with me when it came to design and detail. My wife and I picked out a slab and were ready to go with it when we received a call from anthony telling us they received new material he thought would be perfect. We drove down and instantly fell in love with the new granite. Anthony could have just sold us the original slab but he really wanted to satisfy us. I look at our granite every morning and I know we made the right move going with this company. Anthony, Sarah, the installers, they were all awesome and I would refer anyone to them.

A friend recommended granite city to me and it was the best referral ever. These people are so very professional and they make it easy and stress free when deciding on the countertop choice. Anthony was very very helpful and their customer service is uncomparable. The best part is the process is not long like other places where you have to pay everything up front and it takes weeks. At granite city you only pay a down payment to get the order started and about 1 week later you are ready for installation. I was so pleased with the entire service that i decided to add an island almost a year later and guess who will be doing the countertop to match the rest of the kitchen? 🤗Thanks Granite City. Really needed to note the exceptional experience I had with The Granite City. I had a counter top that was broken and needed to be replaced but I didnt want to change out my backsplash as it was extremely sentimental. Anthony was extremely knowledgable and helpful during my selection procees through install. The install team was neat, timely and did a wonderful job. My backspalsh was completely unharmed. The Granite City was AMAZING when it came to remodeling my kitchen. I went to several different places in CT, and I knew when I walked into Granite City that I was going to use them. I was immediately greeted by Anthony, who is in all sincerity, one of the best reps I have ever come across. So friendly and engaging, he made me feel immediately comfortable, and wasnt super pushy or nagging like I feel most kitchen places are. I was in the market for new cabinets and new countertops, and at first, the cabinets that I had envisioned didnt seem to fit what they had in the showroom, but I liked Anthony so much that I decided that I would be using them for granite anyway, and try to find my cabinets elsewhere.A few days later, I received an email from Anthony stating that he had just gotten a new cabinet style in from one of his vendors that made him think of me, and lo and behold, it was exactly what I was looking for. I thought it was so sweet and thoughtful and such excellent customer service that he thought of me after the fact, and was kind enough to let me know he found something that would interest me. That was so impressive.Working with Granite City was a breeze. Anthony was so diligent and organized throughout the entire process, working with me to tweak certain things about my kitchen design, and suggesting things that I would have never thought about that now, Im so glad he did! He was always checking with me to make sure I liked what I had, double and triple checking measurements, and allowing me to ask any silly question that I might have had and was very fast with responding back to me.The timelines given were accurate and honest; and the installation guys, from the cabinets to the granite were efficient, friendly, and thorough.I really loved that the granite pricing was all inclusive; it made it really simple to see an accurate pricing, without worrying about an extra $250 here for bowl cut outs and extra pricing on edges and whatnot like I had experienced at other places. The showroom was so expansive, with so many choices in so many different price groups that it was almost hard to narrow it down to just one. There truly is something beautiful for every budget.My experience with The Granite City was superb and top notch; I would recommend them a thousand times over, especially working with Anthony who was truly a godsend and a friend in what was a stressful time in my life (buying a house, planning a wedding and remodeling a kitchen in the exact same time frame, I wanted to rip my hair out!) and he at least made this process easy, smooth, and most of all, I ended up with a gorgeous kitchen.You will not regret going with the Granite City. I am not writing about granite or marble. I want to tell the world how impressed I am with the quality of men that Granite City employs. My wife and I had a flat on 91 in during a very busy time the guys were coming back from a job and stopped and helped us. Needed countertops for a kitchen remodel. after looking at many granite outlets , some wont deal directly with the consumer, to have them install granite they need a sub contractor. meeting Sarah at Granite city was a pleasant surprise. even after we walked through the warehouse twice and my wife couldnt find what she liked. Sarah set up an appointment to visit a suppliers warehouse and we found exactly what we wanted. Thank you Sarah and the staff for going the extra mile to get us exactly what we wanted. measuring and installation were a breeze with the capable employees. I cant recommend this company enough they are everything you could ask in a company fair honest and caring.thank youken warnerpat neligon .

Im Sorry to Report that I did not have a good experience with this Company - I was surprised because my contractor recommended them -- they were very disorganized when I arrived and seemed to be understaffed - the women that was showing me slabs out side was also running in for the phone it just seemed she was trying to get rid of me instead of help me -- needless to say I was not impressed with this company and found another one.Im glad I didnt go with them after I found out another Co - worker used them andsaid they were a nightmare -- Scratched Granite installed and took them two weeks to come out and repair - and then they caused another Scratch while repairing -- so I dont know what happened to this company if they were good in the past they certainly are not now.
