I love this place for all the Korean products that are difficult to find elsewhere. It is definitely bigger than any other Korean market in the state of Connecticut. The staff is also very nice and has been willing to order things for me which I am very appreciative of.

Ive been looking for a place that sells straight Korean foods. Was going to A Dongs for a while, but they have nothing but Chinese and Japanese foods, with a tiny section way off in the corner with Korean. And its Kimchi was Chinese made and for some reason not very good.So I searched around online and found this little gem. Service is fantastic. They really appreciate your business. Lots of things there I could only find in Korea. Very clean and organized too.The only thing I found as a downer was the overflow of some things. But those are popular items, like golden curry. And the other was that the entire shopping Plaza is abandoned all except for this one store. Creepy.But I want this place to get more business, and I will help anyway I can. People in America that have tried Korean food, have become instantly hooked. And this place has all the ingredients you need, and really good prices.

Very good place to buy Asian foods and goods

Has all the ingredients one needs for Korean cooking and more. Their produce selection can be limited, but it’s always super fresh so I love it. You can complete your food shopping by going to Je Mart and afterwards to the Aldi that is front of Je Mart

Je Mart is not your typical Asian supermarket. It caters to the Korean side of Asia but has a wide variety of products from all over Asia offering fresh produce and various ready to eat snacks and meals. The lady at the front who rang me out was very helpful and full of knowledge. She helped me to craft a delicious Bimbimbap bowl at home.감사합니다.Gamsahamnida.Thank you.

Je Mart is in a run down strip mall but what you will find in their unassuming exterior is complete gold. :-) I love all the variety of Korean foods especially their prefect curated collection of Kim Chee and ramens. :-) I will definitely be back, keep up the good work guys. :-)

Coming from Massachusetts, we always make the time to take a trip over the border to Connecticut so we can visit Je Mart. Its a great little spot for all types of Asian foods, run by a Korean family. They have everything from proteins, ice creams, Asian snacks, teas, fruits, vegetables, and even some knick knacks for kitchen and bath. The service is extremely helpful and kind, and the store itself is normally well stocked.

The location is run down and it looks post-apocalyptic(haha) but the store is great! And the prices are very reasonable. I usually buy my seaweed at S&S but I will start buying it here cuz you get more for ur money.

One of a few Asian or korean restaurant in CT near Storrs. I am from South Korea and have used JE mart for 5 yearsI always appreciate the owner that we can still enjoy korean foods and ingredients.They provide all korean authentic snack, food, ingredients, and some kitchen utensils.I usually go there to pick Ramen, kimchi, rice, gochujang (red pepper paste), and snacks :)The price is as usual and mostly cheaper than Amazon.Thanks owner again for doing this business. This is really good for those who missing home.

Young lady at the register is very nice and she greeted us when we came inside the store but the plaza where theyre located is a mess it needs to be remodeled it needs an updated if you do come here please be careful watch your tires the parking lot have so many potholes and the store could use a good remodeling too dark inside for my liking

This Korean market have everything you need to make every side and main dishes for dinner. They have household and beauty items too. Do check out the variety of soy sauces, pre-made side dishes, and snacks.

Truly a hidden gem for quality Korean (and other Asian) ingredients, foods, snacks, and other daily needs. Clean well organized store, friendly staff, good prices, all at a location minutes from home!I’ve been so happy being able to expand my cooking knowledge through the base ingredients available at Je Mart. Tasty prepared foods too and so many snacks and treats to choose from as well. Come in for the Ramune, leave with so many possibilities!

The selection is great. There are a lot of Korean items but also plenty of Japanese products as well. The produce is fresh and a good selection of meats as well.

Although I spend a fortune going there, I will never stop going there. The variety of Asian snacks alone is amazing to me. Theres so many different foods to discover here if you arent familiar with Korean cuisine. They also have a huge selection of ramen which I love!

Love this little but mighty market for most if my culinary needs from Kimchi supplies to noodles, produce and their freezer section has a variety of offerings. Just made a batch of winter vegan kimchi with everything I picked up at Je Mart.

There isnt really any competing Korean markets in central CT so it is what it is. The market has most of the things needed but it would be nice to have more selection big products such as traditional korean rice cakes and prepared foods. Prices are ok overall but some are overpriced.

Do not be dettered by the location! Clean store with fresh produce and Korean specialties. The staff is super helpfull. I for once felt less overwhelmed getting into an Asian market because of the staff. Thank you!

The vegetables are fresh and priced reasonably. They have most Asian items necessary to make most favorite Asian foods specialty candy and desserts. The cashier was helpful and very nice.

Small and clean ortiental store. Quick in and out for veggies, rice, noodles, sauces etc. They have a wide selection so once you go a few times you know what and were items are. Staff is quiet but friendly. Parking lot is huge , just watch out for the numerous pot holes in the lot.Its a regular stop for shopping. Prices are good to great. 4 Stars!!

As others said, despite the post apocalyptic outer look of the plaza, this place was really nice! Prices and selections were very decent/reasonable for this area. Stuff I like are usually only out in Boston or NYC which is.... a hike.

Its a very clean and spacious store. Owners are polite and welcoming and give polite answers to questions. There fresh produce is good. We love buying Napa Cabbage and Daikon radish from there. I have heard good things about their persimmon fruits.Overall a good store!

Yes it does look like Google pinned this a bit off, but if you are in the area, you can see both Je Mart and Town Fish & Chips very easily. It is nice to have a Korean/Asian market nearby if you need something in a hurry. Like the other reviewer, I am a tad put off by the large amount of prepared foods but it makes sense in a store that gets the small amount of traffic that they do. The prepared foods do make it fun to look around in though, and see all of the different packaging and snacks. Theres also a small gift area in the back. Pretty much everything you will find here is priced a bit more than at A Dongs in West Hartford. Staff are very nice.

In the middle of a practically abandoned strip mall, this is a true gem. Incredibly clean inside with a wide variety of asian food offerings, especially korean. Fresh veggies and fruit as well. Staff was unbelievably kind.

It has alot of good snacks that I love that I cant find in regular markets but before I payed, I added up all the items and it was suppose to be around $15. When I actually payed, it came up as $25 so just make sure you pay attention because they type in the money so its easy for them to make a mistake! I didnt say anything about it but if this happens to you, speak up!!!

Almost only place one can get Korean grocery near Hartford area. Price is surely more expensive than bigger players like H marts in Boston or NYC but it is understandable (Hartford is not NYC anyways). Produce is not extremly fresh but okay. All meats are frozen.
