I have yet to have someone answer a phone at this business, I understand things are trying but at least acknowledge the phone or turn them off, my thoughts are Cant answer a phone for a 400.00 purchase, then the service after the sale isn’t there either.

Being greeted at the door was Gold! I visited twice recently and received the VIP treatment at the door both times. So impressed.

Pretty good place. I got 6 pair of socks 🧦 for $17 dollars I will say I never bought socks 🧦 at that price but I will say I can see why. Love the socks 🧦😁 and I got a pair of Skechers. Comfort indeed 😊😊

Went in looking for a pair of steel toe work boots. Found the brand but not the size. Academy doesnt really carry much in larger sizes for men or women.

Found what we were looking for but we bought the same thing on Amazon for $20 less. Very nice store friendly staff

You can find a great variety of hunting and fishing, grilling and smoking equipment.

I am coming on here to write about Rick, Eugene, and Deborah. These folks went way out of their way to help a girl that got a bit too ambitous with her shopping. They helped pack and count all the drinks I needed, arranged my carts full of pool noddles, two coolers and water balloons. I didnt even ask for their help first, they just jumped in to save my day. Such kind employees and they even helped pack my car afterwords. Thank you, Thank you! My only complaint is they dont have a tip jar for these great guys.

This place looks like its going out of business. The manager needs to do something about the store stock. It is henrendous . Looks like a yard sale on the last day . Just picked over shoes and garbage that nobody wants or sizes that nobody wears... You can do better or Easley needs a new outdoor sports store please!!!!

Good prices and selection on soccer gear. The lady on the salesfloor seemed a little over worked, but the cashier was awesome.

I had an exchange in needed to do and didnt have my receipt. The staff was very accommodating and helped me out. Went ahead and spent even more money while I was there. The prices at Academy and friendliness of the staff are always top notch.

Great place for all your outdoor and athletic needs. Staff is competent and really eager to help. I would much rather go here and find help and get what I need and get out

Very clean store! All the staff members that we encountered were super friendly. Great prices on most of their items. I would highly recommend checking here for all of your outdoor needs prior to visiting some of the other big box stores.

Camping section seemed to be a bit light on in stock items. Clothing looked well stocked though. They had a very friendly greeter.

I did a lot of research before buying a treadmill. Found the one I wanted at the right price here. I live about an hour away so I called ahead to make sure they had it and would price match. On the phone they said they would. When I got there, about half the people were not wearing masks. Half the staff had their masks over their nose. I talked to 4 different employees over the course of 45 minutes before someone actually checked for the treadmill I wanted. When they brought it out and I was ready to cash out, they refused to price match like they said they would. Overall, worst shopping experience Ive ever had. I rarely give a 1 star review. There are lots of other sporting goods chains. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

Gun section, the staff is always helpful.4 stars because everytime I go for Ammo, they are out. I understand there is a shortage but they let 1 person buy their whole inventory instead of posting 2 boxes per customer or whatever.This might have changed but last time I was there, this was the case.

Never any firearm attachments in stock. Pay more attention to small details instead of trying to sell firearms.

The staff was really helpful and friendly, but I cant give a full five stars. Please enforce your mask policy more firmly. Just because some of the locals dont get it doesnt mean that you shouldnt put your foot down in order to keep the rest of us safe.

Inventory very low. Store very unorganized and messy.

2 hours of waiting for only three or four different calibers of ammo and maybe 15 boxes per caliber- anything good gone in the first 10 minutes-oh well. Academy-I understand you probably dont know what is on the truck until you unload it, but when you do get it inventoried-post on the front door before you open: what calibers came in, how many rounds per box, & how many boxes of each. If it doesnt look like were going to be able to get what were there for, oh well well come back next time-thats fine, but dont keep us out there just to get us in the store, were not going to buy anything else. You dont have .556 today, I will go buy a parka-not gonna happen lol. It would be easier on your employees also-having to deal w/everyone right when you open-thin out the herd a bit. Just a friendly suggestion. Thanks and God bless!

Purchased a shotgun and what I thought was going to turn out to be a disaster actually ended well !!! Jim , Megan and Miles worked super hard to make things right !! Although I was extremely disappointed in the beginning . They did everything to make it right !!! Been trying to call for customer service 2 days. No answer in am or pm. Trying to pay credit card bill , there is no ap or way to pay online so careful if you are thinking about the card. Otherwise good store

No ammo! Shelves bare throughout the store. I know manufacturers still can produce ammo. They seem to be supporting a liberal stance on trying to make it hard to own an shoot guns.

Waited a very long time trying to purchase a gun but i couldnt get any service so i walked out extremely unhappy

I was upset with costumer service . I went to buy walking shoes . Ok so Im at the shoes and I needed assistance , I call up front and was told someone would come to help . Ok 30 minutes later no one showed up . I left the store my daughter went back in with me and finally got someone to help .

Friendly staff, but, they make it very difficult to return things from online purchases... make sure you have a receipt, especially if something was purchased on sale. If you dont have a specific receipt they will give you the lowest price company wide for your return. For example, you buy a shirt on sale for a store pickup in Anderson for $29.99 and when you go to return it without a specific receipt, you may get $7.00 on your return. Just make sure you keep your bar coded receipt, that they email you prior to item pickup, if you order online and choose to pick it up in the store.

The customer service is good with better rules and ways to keep it clean and sanitary. If an item is out of stock, a employee gives me an time/date to come back for the truck where I can get the item. Very good.

We could not find a store employee to help us for 15 minutes and once we did he was very rude and said that they did not have the size that we were looking for and thats it he didnt say Im sorry he didnt say anything else he didnt say have a good day or anything he was very very rude and I asked him if they had any in the back and he said that academy doesnt have a back area which is untrue because Ive heard of people going in the back and finding shoes he just refused to

Ratings are due to the current state of affairs regarding the dirth of availability of ammunition. I realize they probably get tired of answering repeated requests but some of the staff seems put out when replying.

One of the few gun places in Greenville County that actually has time for you. Will answer questions, and doesnt get bogged down with one customer for LONG Periods of time. Ill always give them 1st shot at my business.

Cant say I will ever buy a firearm from here again. They dont tell you that you have to deal strait with the manufacturer if you have any problems. I will stick to my local gunshops that will help get problems fixed.

Absolutely amazed and grateful for incredible customer service at this store! I had an issue with a price earlier this evening on a grill that I had planned on getting my husband for Fathers Day. I had been told last week that the sale price would run through Fathers Day and went today to pick up the grill. When I arrived however, the grill my husband had chosen was no longer on sale despite being told it would be. I spoke first with store associate, Jake who graciously directed me to one of the store managers, Seth. Once I explained my situation to both Jake and Seth, Seth very kindly agreed to honor the sale price for which I had planned to buy the grill! I am extremely pleased and thankful with the customer service both Jake and Seth showed me in purchasing my husbands grill this evening! Highly recommend!

A little pricey but you get what you pay for. I love academy. They always have what you need and they keep it all in stock. If not they order what you need and have it quickly sent. Its a good place to get all of your outdoor needs.

The store is very well kept. Clean, neat, and easy to shop. Staff was very engaged and helpful with the purchase of our new schwinn sit down exercise bike. Cashier at check out was also friendly, and tried to save us money on our purchase by offering their new in store credit card. I will be back to this location.
