Very cute little coffee/pastry shop. We split a few things and had coffee. The iced coffee is very strong, I normally drink it black but found myself needing some cream. Very nice staff and the sandwiches looked really good!

I have been craving for Eclairs for 2 weeks. I tried the most popular bakery in Boston but was very disappointed. Glad I visited French Memories. The coffee eclair was yum!! The other items looked delicious as well. They had mini eclairs that seemed perfect for a quick bite. Will definitely go back when am in the area.

I have been to many bakeries around MA and this is one of my absolute favorites. The croissant is definitely the best I’ve had in the state! I also love that they make miniature versions of many of their French pastries- perfect for sampling!

My friends and I got four different baguettes, which were all disappointing. We also got five different types of petit fours, which were pretty good, and a mille-feuille, which we each took a bite of and then threw away. Please get better bread for your baguettes, and learn how to make puff pastry!

I dont write a lot of reviews but this is worth it. Cheese danish was the best Ive ever had - buttery, light, just enough filling. Lemon tart was nice and lemony - not too sweet - and beautifully piped. Macarons were spot on. Didnt have any coffee or anything other than pastries but for pastries they are five star for sure. Reasonable prices too

I was told this was a must stop for pastries.....okay.....did not try, had a sandwich instead since the service was horrible. The person I assume was either a manager or the owner acted like she could not be bothered with questions and either looked through me or answered vaguely.I ended up explaining the different pastries to the couple in front of us. I really wanted to love this place since I am a Baker and love trying another bakers wares. I found the establishment pricey for average food.

The food here is amazing. My favorites are the strawberry and ham and cheese croissant. The melted cheese melts so nice with the ham. And the creme and the strawberries is prefect for brunch. Ive heard great things and been once or twice, but just had not so great experience. The girl who helped me just started at me until I told her what I wanted, no greeting or asking me what I wanted. I got a coffee and a pastry for me and a pastry for my son. The coffee wasnt good at all, very very bitter. The scone was dry. And the Chocolate Croissant was not only very oily, but had a long hair stuck in the middle of it, which completely put me off of it. I know this place is an institution here and that other people love it, however I had a very disappointing experience.

The friand (turkey and cheddar in a croissant-like pastry dough) and bechamel (ham and swiss in the same) are both SO good! The variety of pastries is quite impressive, and the staff is always super friendly. Also, they have decaf iced coffee, which is a plus! (The only thing I wouldnt get again is the iced chai - overly sweet, strangely too orange, and doesnt have a typical chai tea flavor)

First, I am French, from Paris in the Latin quarter, I was very excited to try pastries at this shop. However, what a disappointment, the pastries (croissants) are too oily, then their petit fours and other confections, while they look similar are way too sugary. Their opera cake has the wrong cake layers and their Paris Brest filling was heavy and too sugary, while their pâte à chou was a bit tad. I did however find their coffee éclair good, their chocolate éclairs filling was average. Last, I went their 4 times so far and their service is horrible, even a local while waiting to be help said, their service is not great though their food is pretty good. If you have been in France, dont expect their baking goods to be similar, they may look similar but they are Americanize, meaning way too sweet.

French memories is a wonderful bakery that I go to anytime I am having a macaroon craving (the eclair and other por de choux pastries are delicious as well). I love that they have french cheese and cofee too. I will say line wise its very tight and a little claustrophobic. If I were to recommend 1 macaroon it would 100% be the salted caramel. The outer layer has a top crunch with a chewy pull. The salty/sweet it perfectly balanced.TIP: I let the macaroons come to room temperature before digging in so i can yast every nuance. Happy traveling! Jenn
