I had been searching EVERYWHERE (online, etc) for the perfect accent cabinet/sideboard to go under my wall mounted TV. I wanted something special, something that would make me smile every time I looked at it. I walked into this store for the first time thinking I would be leaving empty handed once again but.... I FOUND MY PERFECT PIECE!!!!! It is the most gorgeous solid wood dresser/sideboard. Absolutely perfect! Size and shape and color of wood. The owners were so great and it was such a fair price. I actually described what I was looking for and said-I doubt you will have it, it’s very specific. She said, oh! Come with me! I think I have the perfect piece! They loaded it in my van but also say they can deliver. Such a wonderful experience!!

Walked in just to look around and ended up leaving with two beautiful pieces of furniture. We just moved into a place and this store had just what we were looking for at way better deals than regular stores.

Walked in looking for a reading chair. They had a wide range of styles and prices from which to choose. I chose a cushy chair on which I could recline (but not a recliner) to read – or nap, which sometimes happens. The owner guided me around the well-lit, appealingly laid-out store, and I was out of there in record time. They delivered the chair just a few hours later. Once again, in and out quickly and efficiently. I could have paid more or less, but Im very happy with my purchase and will check them out first if a need arises.

Gary and the folks at Affordable were wonderful to deal with. They went the extra mile over the phone to give us detailed descriptions, and measurements of the cabinets they had on hand, and sent us excellent pictures of the cabinet we were most interested in, since we lived several miles away from the shop and wanted to see it close up before taking the time to drive in. They kept the shop open several hours later than stated closing time to allow us time to arrive there after work; and let us browse other cabinets we discovered in the shop that we had not seen ahead of time. They patiently answered our many questions re whether the cabinets we were looking at would fit in the space we had, how the various doors and shelves would work for loading things in for display...They gave us good instructions on the correct rubber feet cups to purchase to help keep the cabinet level and protect our carpet.They set up delivery at a time that worked well for our schedule, and at a very reasonable price considering the distance we were from the shop.We absolutely recommend visiting Affordable Furniture, they have a great selection of high quality pieces - for us, the kinds of things that we had been looking many places for and had not been able to find. We will certainly return the next time we are in need of anything furniture.

We have bought a shelf/cabinet unit and now a kitchen table and chairs from this place. They may be second hand but everything in the store is in perfect shape and I have no doubt they will last us for years. And the prices cannot be beat, we got the kitchen table and 6 chairs for what would normally be the price of just the chairs. Both times we got it delivered to us and it was done quickly and for a reasonable price. We got our table/chairs delivered less than an hour after we bought them. This will always be our first stop for all our furniture needs! We went in on a Friday to check out bedroom sets as the other stores in the area had a 4 month lead time to get anything. We ended up having a complete bedroom set, couch and loveseat delivered on Sunday! Gary and Lois were honest, professional and not pushy in the least!! Went shopping with my Dad. He was looking for a sofa. We were happy with the selection and found a sofa of good quality and comfort. Great store to find furniture on a budget. Found a great designer used chair in like new condition. They have everything from Antiques to new and in between. Staff was very accommodating, They were very informative and friendly, you were not ignored, they appreciate your business . They even loaded a chair into my car! They stated more than once that they only bring in very lightly used furniture. I saw several upholstered pieces that were well worn, you could actually see the wear from a distance. My idea or worn and theirs is a little different, but they did have the full range, worth a look when trying to start or new place or find a special piece of furniture.

The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable about the various pieces on display. We found a perfect bedroom set for 1/4th of the cost of finding it at a major retail store, and in fantastic condition. They also had a neat painting that we picked up at a fraction of the cost it would be in an art store. This is with the satisfaction of supporting a local and family owned business.

What a FANTASTIC experience! This was the first time we had ever been in this store and we will definitely be back!!! We were looking for a desk and came away with a beautiful desk, comfortable handsome office chair and a beautiful leather accent chair. The staff were extremely helpful with information about the pieces. The best part was their willingness to make a deal with us. They wrapped the pieces in plastic so we could take them home. This place us amazing. The furniture here looks brand new. The prices are great! I was helped by a nice lady who took the time to show me all the pieces she had that matched what I was looking for. She even took me into the back room to search for an item she knew she had but didnt have a price on it yet. I ended up buying that piece. It is nice to find a furniture place where customer service comes first and not the commission.

Affordable Furniture & Treasures, the Dubuque store: Very clean, very nice selection and reasonable prices. They were very helpful, friendly and not pushy. Went there a year ago before they moved to the current location and wow what a difference a year makes! While they had nice things reasonably priced the new location is marked improvement for displaying and expanding their inventory. They may not have everything under the sun but they have very many nice things to look at. Give them a chance before you go to big box furniture store; you will be pleasantly surprised!

Although we had no intention upon entering the store to purchase anything, we were impressed with the welcome we received, the professional help displayed by staff, the cleanliness and neatness of the store, and the quality of the furniture. We left the store having purchased a beautiful, unique, Amish-made table! Delivery occurred the very next morning. Shopping at Affordable Furniture was a positive experience!

I spent $800 in this store on used furniture that I could have found myself at an estate auction for far less considering the following:The dresser I bought is made from solid wood and plywood, nicer quality yes! However, get it home to find that it was broken off the track because of a stripped screw. Not noticeable unless you really look into the dresser, you can see the wood veneer moves from the plywood box of the drawer. I Call Gary, he comes to my house only to tell me, he lost out on the sale and he’ll pay me the $400 I paid for it, bring it back to his shop and resell it for $500! Unprofessional, guilt tripping the customer. I explained I just would like it fixed. He insisted on taking the dresser back again and I said no, I’ll just have my husband repair it because I do want the dresser. I asked if he’d offer in store Credit towards another purchase and he passed on that as well. So I paid $400 for a damaged used dresser.Also, the recliner I bought for $375, that was said to be basically new, I found original paperwork that it was sold in 2009 under the foot stool. Which is fine but don’t explain how an item is gently used when it’s clear there are worn markings and you don’t even know the history of an item because you bought it from an estate auction or sale.

Nice selection of furniture this I agree on. However I am a dog owner/ smoker and the owner made it clear to me several times they only sell used furniture from smoke free and pet free homes did she not smell the smoke on my clothes. And who labeled us pet owner/ smokers as dirty I was quite affended. Felt like pretty woman. No idea that Im very well off.

We had just remodeled our dining room and were searching for the perfect china hutch to complete the project. After visiting several local stores and calling multiple ads we called Affordable Furniture and Treasures. After talking with Gary and hearing they had several hutches that might suit us we made the two hour trip to their store. We were pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness of all the merchandise and the variety of styles of cabinets and hutches there were to choose from. Gary and his wife were very friendly and helpful but not pushy like some salespeople. We thoroughly enjoyed our shopping trip! And yes, we left with a beautiful , wejll made oak china hutch at a great price. It was well worth the drive!

I found the perfect size TV stand for the bedroom TV after looking in 15 stores in Dubuque and Galena. It had to be about 36 inches wide . All the other stands were 40 inches and above. An added benefit is this is solid quality wood, not something that has to be assembled. The price was great too.

My wife and I were half-heartedly scouring Dubuque looking for some great high-quality bookshelves before figuring we would just give up and buy some cheap ones that would no doubt collapse in a year or two just like all the others we have had. But fortunately, she suggested we give Affordable Furniture & Treasures a try, and after being very impressed both by their hospitality and the sheer amount of good stuff they have stuffed into their store(s), we got the two nicest bookshelves either of us have ever owned, and imagine they will serve us well for decades to come.
