Great experience for the first time firearms purchase. My wife even enjoyed it. It was easy to walk in and talk with everyone there. Purchased my gun with Octavia who answered all my questions and demoed the firearms and picked it up 12 days later with David. After pick up, we went over their indoor firing range to test it out. Forget his name, but the indoor range master was very helpful. The range was good and handy to have nearby.They have a good selection of firearms at what seems to be good pricing in todays elevated market. I was quoted 950 for the same gun elsewhere I bought from them for 595. They also seem to have a good supply of ammunition.

The perfect PPT experience. Detailed, thorough, safe and pleasant without being overbearing or wasting time.Love the stock stock And presentation. You wont feel crowded out here well browsing the shelves or looking at the walls presenting the long guns and pistols.I also love the fact they have an attached range here. You can rent Darius just pools and rifles. And of course you can also shoot your own firearms.Guns fishing & other stuff is definitely right up there with what I consider to be an ideal sporting goods experience.

Love this place! Friendly, helpful staff! Range gets busy on the weekends. Get there when they open if you dont want to wait long. During the week is the best time to go. They even have a lunch special Monday through Wednesday! 9mm or 40 Cal with ammo, ear and eye all included.

I frequent here and their selection, knowledge, and services are top notch. If they dont have what you want they can order for you. Brandon at long gun installed and boresighted my rifle couple times with all the pro tools and care. The result is stellar on the field. After you pick up your guns here you can also go straight to the range in the store. So come hang out !

I brought my family in this morning and we reserved 2 lanes.Philip and Justin gave us excellent customer service. Phillip explained gun safety and fundamentals to my daughters.Overall, my whole family had a great time, were all looking forward to our return range time.

The pistol guys are the most rude and lazy people Ive ever dealt with. They give no advice and scoff at doing anything asked of them. The rifle and ammunition guys are very helpful though.

They had what I needed at a reasonable price. I was a lite shocked at how empty the store was. Perhaps it was COVID19 related. Worth checking out again in the future.

Just walked in to buy a new gun. I noticed a handgun they had on the wall said plus so I asked the guy what the plus was meaning. His response was are you a cop and I said no. Then he said you cant buy it, it doesnt matter. So then I continued looking at a couple more guns, saw the one I wanted and then decided not to purchase it and just walked out. I can go buy a gun from somebody else without the pricky attitude.

Shelves are pretty much empty and they don’t have many options for clothing.

Terrible customer service. Called to ask if they do PPT, sales person told me yes and to come in early. Arrived at 902am, and was told they don’t do PPT on saturdays. They didn’t apologize but just said “you must have spoken to the new guy.” Guess what - higher up management is responsible for training and giving staff correct information.Definitely won’t come back

I really love the store it’s massive it has a lot of selection and choice not only in fishing gear but also apparel and of course my favorite guns! Plus, there’s an indoor range!!The staff are so amazing,warm and welcoming and generous with their knowledge & time when you have questions.

Okay so I purchased a weapon from them and it’s only post to take you 10 business days to get it... well I’m waiting 3 month and they made me pay in full I hate this place and they telling me I have to pay a $50 cancellation fee and they haven’t even sent the gun out yet... bad business at it finest

I had a gun shipped to these knuckleheads and because there was an issue with my drivers license and I couldnt get my gun for a couple of months. They charged me $400.00 storage fee. I have never been treated so poorly in my life and I have been buying guns for 50 years. Very rude and unprofessional.

Fishing dept is terrible. Out of everything. Young kid handling it and he doesn’t know anything about anything. Owner said I don’t care for fishing I’m all about guns so he is leaving it neglected. Don’t go there for fishing,they don’t want your business there apparently

Honestly, when I came for my first time, I panicked so much. But then the instructor, he calmed me down a lot. He even have me his own premium bullets when I ran out. He was a really nice person and showed that he cared for me. I’m going again soon, I love this place!

Great range great staff. If you are new to shooting they are very insightful. They run Groupons all the time make it affordable to practice with the tools that could end up saving your life. Weekends are crowded so try to go during week days.

The guy behind the rifle counter is very rude, doesnt know anything about the current gun laws. If you are the age of 18 years or older with a valid, unexpired hunting license. Dont bother going there, they dont read the actual guns laws on the california DOJ.

Bought a scope for my rifle. Due to covid, i didnt have a chance to shoot the rifle until after the 30-day return policy expired. Went to range and the scope was defective. The height adjustment is not moving. I returned to get a replacement, not even a refund. The salesman said they cant. Just like that, theres nothing they could. They sold me a defective product and it was my fault i didnt find out right away. Tough luck.Also, i bought a groupon for a gun-ammo-and range desl. When i am about to use it, they said they dont honor it until the pandemic is over. Maybe next year. Wouldnt refund my money too. Why would they be selling that in the first place?

Purchased a firearm from here and had some issues with pick-up. There was no order to who they were serving and ended up in the store for a bit longer than usual.Went to go purchase another one and waited quite awhile to get on a wait list, called the next day to see where I was at on the list and was told they called everyone and I lost my turn. No missed call, no voicemail and no customer service.Great selection, but shotty service.

AVOID THE RANGE!!!Visited today with my stepson and was told that most of their lanes were out of order. So there was a 2 hour wait. I was fine with that, especially when the person at the desk told me I could go have lunch and come back. So I put our names on the list, and did that.We returned in 1.5 hours (30 minutes earlier) and found they had actually already called us and had just put the next person on the list on the range. No problem, I thought, until I was told that they would not give me the next slot, but that Id have to go to the end of the list and be forced to wait another 2 hours.Sorry. Wrong choice, GFOS. Customer Service is key, and your employee should have honored the other employees direction. Nobody (and no signs) suggested that we had to be present when called or would lose our spot. Very disappointed that this is the only local indoor range... otherwise Id go to another one without question.

This place has rude punks working here. These guys are rude and have the worst service attitude. This one worker guy talked to few of us like we were some dirt. I would not spend anymore $ at this dump of service place

I want to negative point if I could. I think most of staff are good. The store manager does care business and customer. I have 2 unhappy cases with the store manager. The first time is about ammo. I had my ID card(which I got it few years ago) and car registration form with new address, the store manager insisted to use address in ID card to verify my background. Of course the check was failed. Then 2nd case is about a return. The purchase was from my friend with his credit card. My friend wanted to return because of missing accessories, and he was traveling, so left it to me for returning, store manager asked me to provided the original card which I don’t have, most of other store can return cash, or return to my card. But he didn’t return to my at all.

Driven past this place for months. Today I finally stopped by to do some Christmas shopping on my lunch break. I approached a sales associate and asked if I could ask him a question. As long as its quick was not the response I was expecting yet amazingly that was the answer I got to my question with a completely straight face. I dont think Ill be coming back here. The prices are not very competitive anyway.

I have no idea on what days or on what occasions all the other guys came, but my experience was pretty good. Average, but certainly not bad. To put it simply, they have a few things that other stores dont, but for a higher price. Yes, it does seem that the guys working at the rifles are amateurs compared to the guys at the pistol selection. One of the guys at the pistols was very patient and understood that my father and I were new to them. He explained and told us many aspects worth knowing of a handgun. Not to mention, their indoor range is pretty neat. However, if you are going to buy ammo, get it from the store, rather than from under the counter at the range, if you are shooting at the range. To shoot there, you dont even need to bring a gun, you can rent one of theirs for $12 to $17... plus to use the stall and other bull. But this store isnt too bad. Quit being judgmental.

Super awesome service. Knowledgeable staff. I felt comfortable with what i was doing from when i walked in to when i stepped in the range. Ive been to other ranges and they tell you dont do this or that but never explain anything to you or how it functions.

I am a first time buyer and called this store to inquire about the process. After receiving a brusque, curt explanation I tried to ask a few clarifying questions only to have the guy respond that this isnt 20 questions and that he would be hanging up on me. Which he then did. The conversation lasted less than 60 seconds. How they expect someone to come in and buy something from them after that escapes me.

These people that run this establishment do not honor their posted prices, for example I brought up to check out 3 lures that were marked $2.99 sale price and after cashier rang it up came out to be $16.99. Also a week later I brought up to the check out an item that was priced st $8.99 and rang up at $11.99. After that I told the cashier you can keep it, this establishment doesn’t honor it’s posted prices. To all that are thinking about buying anything from this establishment, I’d be looking to buy from else where, these people are thieves !!!

First time purchasing a firearm.Initially everything was fine but whoever was processing my paperwork did so incorrectly.. so I guess come here if you want to wait an extra 10 days after they screw up your paperwork.

Interesting how most reviews are 1 or 5 stars. Im in the middle because I did not experience the rude behavior that many seem to have experienced. What I did experience, though, is that they are very slow. No sense of urgency whatsoever regardless of the number of people waiting. Both at the gun counter where I was picking up my pistol and at the range counter, the workers were calmly chatting it up with the current customer even though other people were waiting. At the range counter there was a second worker but he was busy playing with a rifle. What could have taken an hour total ended up taking close to 3. As others have stated, the range prices are high and they make you buy their ammo. All that said, I will continue coming here, partly because its so close to my house. Just not when Im in a hurry.

Very bad service. Called to confirm for PPT on Saturday. Was told they dont do PPT in the weekends when I got here. I had to drive an hour to get here. Very disappointed.

I primarily shop here for fishing gears and supplies. Staffs are great especially Bruce. Great guy with great personality and very knowledgeable too. Its always a pleasure talking to him. I stop by about twice a week. Great place and glad they are around.

Dont waste your time going to this store if you want to do a private transfer. Went there on Saturday, they were understaffed and even after going through several long lines, we then waited over an hour, being perpetually at the end of the line as they prioritized their general sales first, thus it was the never ending story.................

Staff is very friendly and helpful. Firearm and shooting section are pretty well stocked. Shooting range is small and well lit. However its not as well ventilated as it could be. Also provisions for policing brass would be nice as it can be a little dicey walking if not careful overall a good place to shoot.

They no longer put line on fishing reels even though they have the tool to do so and bulk line. The employee working the fishing department had a terrible attitude and could not give me a reason as to why they stopped putting line on reels. I put up with the high prices on fishing gear because they did a good job spooling fishing reels and were nice and helpful. I would suggest taking your business elsewhere where customer service and a fully functioning fishing department is further up on the totem pole.

Went here recently for indoor shooting range. Had a great time. Staff very helpful and knowledgeable. Everything kept clean. If you want to squeeze out a few rounds and are in the area, this is the place to do it.

My girlfriend and I frequently shoot at this range, and every time the experience is great. Really like this place. Everytime I go there they have my size. Which is rare at other places. The prices are always the same as I find online. Which is also rare. Most place mark it up a few bucks. Large selection and good variety.

So I went with my friend during lunch time to rent a gun and shoot at this range. We go in, and I walk up the counter to ask the staff member if I can use my own ear plugs that go in my ear for hearing protection. He immediately looks at me as if I am eating spoonfuls of mayonnaise straight out of the jar and condescendingly says, I dont know man, its up to you. Use whatever you want. This question seemed to inconvenience him incredibly. I asked because I didnt know if they have certain regulations as far as the protection they let you wear. We ended up not being able to shoot as I am 20, which I totally understand. Not this guys fault, so we left. If you are reading this right now man, understand that this will get you no where and this nonchalant/tough guy persona creates a uninviting and hostile environment for people who might be new to your range. The younger guy with the blond hair that staffs the range counter is a d*ck.

Simple process wasnt bothered while shooting. Shot at my own pace changed targets etc. guys were friendly enough. Plenty of lanes open for me/no wait.Didnt check out the store side Im sure they sell stuff. Lol.

Not the best in customer service. Stopped by Saturday to look around, every one was too busy to offer help. I found a two identical rifle bags with two different prices, they refused to honor the lower tagged price.

My experience at this establishment was the worst in a long time. These people are lazy, ill knowledgeable and not into helping anyone. If this place is to survive they will need a new crew. I really dont even want to discuss all the bill shot. Lets just say I will never spend a cent there again.

Its true what they say. The staff has no manners. I asked for help twice and was ignored so I finally said HAY! The the guy turned toward me and just looked at me.... I asked if they had any bow fishing equipment and he said no and walked away. Me being who I am didnt believe what I was told and walk over to the archery section and guess what I found? Everything he said they didnt have..... I suggest going been getting what you want and get out. Will I come back? Yes.

Im in the process of buying my first pistol and have been in and out of the store three times looking at a dozen guns. The staff has been very helpful in walking me through the process of finding the right gun for me.I find the guys at the rifle counter to be a little unhelpful, but the hand gun and range guys are great.

Well the old man at the gun range is the reasons Im never returning to this place. Very rude and maybe the most impolite worker at their store. I suggest you guys hire a different range manager if you want to have customers coming back.

The range was cool but THEY LOST MY ID and my friends ID,so left my info and they never called me back. a few days later i called and they had found my friends ID but some how not mine. I spoke with the manager CHUCK and asked what was the policy for a situation like this and he stated that they did not have one... about a week later i went back to see if they had found it but still nothing, they said they may have given it to someone else! i had just got that ID not a month a go, took me 5 hours at the dmv and cost me 35$ its been about a week and i am waiting for him to call me back but i am not holding my breath!i feel they should reimburse me for my time and the cost of the ID!

They basically close whenever they want to. Came one week they had the door closed at 12pm. Next time I called ahead, and they said they would have the last shooter at 2:30pm. I got to the counter at 1:28pm and the guy said they closed at 1:30pm and all the lanes were full. So again I wasted my dam time and all they had to say was sorry. The worse thing is that I drove from Oakland.

Fairly cheap shooting range in the store with the groupon! Great for beginners. Dont come during busy times, or be prepared to wait for quite a while. Otherwise, overall pleasant and fun experience.

Forgot who the range Marshall was, but awesome, no attitude, had knowledge, and was helpful. Guy at the main ammo counter, I believe Andrew, (sorry if wrong), was great and beyond great..... Chay was awesome! Very helpful and very nice. I usually go to Livermore but they dont open till 5 on Wednesday so we tried here. Very reasonable price as well. I will definitely be back.

Big, almost overwhelming, inventory unfortunately hindered by not so competitive pricing. Fun to stop by and look but its a little annoying to have to wait for someone to walk behind the huge glass wall to pull out guns I want to see. My experience with the gun counter has been a little lackluster and Im not a huge fan of the aggressive sales staff.

Staff were very nice, professional and helpful. I ended up buying another pistol, 4 boxes of ammo, magazines and a flashlight. Quick service. Very satisfied!

The Asian guy working the gun range is unprofessional. Cracked too many jokes, and makes everyone feel uncomfortable. Mentioned his 3 year old play with his gun, and made a bad joke about law enforcement. This guy has no place working at a gun range. Wasnt sure if he was high. Please get someone with more respect for this position. This should not happen in Dublin. I drove all the way to Tracy, and had the best experience there. Makes Bublin look like a ghetto gun shop!

I used to really like this place a couple years ago. Now the past two visits the fishing shelf’s were out of what I was after. Thought I would check online today and the website is terrible!!!! Search for Avet and it says no results. Search for fishing gear,,, again no results. We need a “fisherman’s warehouse” in this area.

Young guy behind the ammo counter was snarky and rude. Asked him if he carried several particular cartridges i was looking for and was told whatever i see there is all we carry. He didnt even bother moving, like i was bothering him or something. Their ammo is overly priced anyways. Guy behind rifle counter quite condescending and talked to me as if im an idiot and he knows everything. It was a year since i stopped by this store and i figured theyd change being the only gun store in this city but now im reminded why i dont visit. Apparently being the only gun store there, the customers need them more than they need us. I wouldnt depend on this store for anything.

They are okay, a bit overpriced for most things because they are the only shop in the area. Decent selection of rifles and Handguns, prices on those are a little more than elsewhere. The Handgun staff is generally knowledgeable and friendly, as are the people at the rifle counter. Now the ammo department on the other hand, not so much. They make you feel stupid if you try to ask about different ammo types and dont walk up saying exactly what you want. Also they dont sell bulk either ( i.e. 200+ round boxes) and make you feel like your a terrorist or something for even asking. Prices on ammo are ludicrous, and I mean ludicrous. Unless you HAVE to have it right now, dont buy ammo from here. There is one guy that works in the ammo department, younger guy though that is pretty cool and doesnt mind answering questions and breaking down info. Dont recall his name though. All in all, this store is just ok, not great, but not bad either. If you have other options, you might consider those first.

I took a safety class here for firearms and it was so amazing. I learned so much and the instructors were fabulous. Everyone in the shop is super friendly and knowledgeable.

Never do a PPT at this place. Staff is lost, rifle section tells you one thing, handgun section tells you another. They try and BS you and make you buy one of their gun locks. They make their own PPT hours. Avoid them at all costs.

Indoor shooting range that allows riffles and handguns. Very load and many shooters just want to shoot big guns, making it a very loud experience. For those with sensitive ears go to Livermore. Targets are self retractable, making it easy to check targets at this location. You can rent a variety of guns here, including most Glocks and S&Ws.

If i could give zero stars i would. Most people working at the DUBLIN location are completely RACIST only met 2 employees that actually know how to act around customers , guys at rifle section are RACIST older guy selling ammunition is a RACIST but guys and lady selling handguns are pretty good people. Never buying anything at this store again tho. If you are a person of color latin ,asian or black you will not feel welcomed here.GO TO SPORTSMANS WAREHOUSE

One star is pushing it. Maybe 1/4 a star. Gun prices are high, ammo prices are high. Staff is unfriendly and inexperienced. Went to buy a Magazine reloader the other day. They wanted $39.99 for it. Found it and another gun store I go to for $29.99. Told the sales staff that I could get it online for around $29. They got rude. I only buy stuff there if I absolutely need it.

I bought a voucher off Groupon back in January I never got to use the voucher because everytime I went to use the voucher I was getting turnt around employees trying to say I smell like marijuana well I went again and got the same thing today makes my 5th time trying to use my voucher before it expires I’ve went with a different person each time and all got the same experience which is ridiculous when me nor my friend smokes I say if you’re black just do not go to this range because they have an excuse of why you can’t shoot Groupon does not offer option of a refund is really disappointing because now I feel it is definitely just a race thing sorry not sorry !

Worst experience ever. Walked in and spoke with one of the sales men in the hand gun section. He was very nice and suggested we us their range to try out some of the guns to help my wife decide which gun to buy. The guy in the range was extremely rude from the moment he saw us. He then began to explain how it was the sales associate’s responsibility to help us in the range and not his. When I suggested that I had an idea of which guns my wife wanted to tryout he looked at me with a blank stare and explained that there might not be enough time for us to get a lane. I thanked him, walked back to the gun section and asked to speak to the manager. When I told him what happened he immediately began to talk about different guns and ways for us to make a decision insinuating that we don’t really need to tryout the guns. When I finally told him that they had a try before you buy program and that I would like to use it, his only solution was to come back on a week day because the range would not be as busy. He never bothered to apologies for his employee’s attitude or seemed to care about what had happened.No business is perfect and all employees have a bad day. But the customer should not be tossed around like a hot potato. If it was not part of his job to assist us at the range he could have called the sales associate and dealt with the issue privately instead of making myself and wife feel unwanted and troublesome for wanting to use their try before you buy program. Nor should the manager who should be ready to deal with this sort of thing completely attempt to avoid the issue. By the way the try before you buy program of theirs is not free, you pay for it.This is the first time that I ever write an online review for good or bad. But I was so shocked by the terrible customer service that I had to write this. I hope they figure out how to fix the issue of who assists the customer, and get some training on customer service. I will not shop in this store and will let family, friends, and coworkers know what my experience was.

DONT WASTE YOUR TIME...Ridiculous Place..We Came after talking to them over phone that we have never shot a gun before and we want to try. After coming here and waiting for 2 hours, they tell us that they wont entertain first timers on weekends. AFTER WAITING FOR TWO HOURS..Very unprofessional staff and wasted our time. This place is way overpriced in comparison to sportsmans warehouse and Turners outdoorsman. The only thing that appealing about this place is that its convenience to those who live in the east bay. Theres three types of people that work there; 40% lazy people, 55% cocky know it alls, 5% people who genuinely want to help but are overseen by customers because their coworkers are sub par.The older man behind the rifle counter is very slow and has little to no helpful knowledge on the optics and general firearms. For example, I asked if Leopold and Nikon have an unconditional lifetime warranty on their optics like Vortex does and he told me I dont buy optics based on their warranty, so I wouldnt know. Come on man, youre here to help me not sell me the most expensive pair of binoculars you have.Secondly, I went to the ammo counter to see if they had anything worth buying. Turns out that every box of ammo was marked up at least $3.00 above their competitors prices. This may not seem like a lot per box, but when you buy 1000 rounds of ammo at a time, it adds up pretty quick. Anyhow, I saw a box of 5.56 green tips (armor piercing) and asked the person behind the counter about the legality of those rounds. He told me that the ATFE took them off the prohibition list and can be sold to consumers again. Then I asked him if armor piercing handgun rounds were removed from the list as well. The guy said yeah sure. You can buy those too. THIS IS A LIE. IT IS A FELONY TO BUY AND POSSES HANDGUN ROUNDS THAT CAN PIERCE BODY ARMOR.Thirdly, I went to the handgun counter to see what kind of prices they were offering. Again, theyre handguns even on sale are at least $100 over priced. I have noticed on weekends the guys behind this counter are cocky and lack of a better word, know-it-alls. When I turned 21, I went there to look at a few handguns to buy. I expressed my want for a 1911 and they told me that I dont know what I want and a glock is the way to go. They kept pushing the glock on me and I ended up leaving. Turns out that I went to turners instead and bought a 1911 for $250 cheaper than what they had listed the same gun.Moral of the story, I wouldnt buy anything from that store ever. Its not completely the employees fault. The culture of the company and management do a very poor job of hiring knowledgeable and professional people. If I could rate this store as a zero star, I would.

Really nice people work there and try very hard to help you get what you need. Now buy all my hunting gear from them.

There seems to be some kind of time vortex anomoly that affects this store. The people seem to move 3 times as slow as normal. This is especially prevelant at the gun range. They dont care how long lines are and have no sense of urgency. Nice staff but dont expect fast service.
