There is a time when you need a break from the outside world..my place is thrift stores likethe goodwill to think and find nicknacks..I could spend hours just looking thru all the stuff they have...

I enjoy all second hand stores! I usually call them all my malls. I believe you can get great deals here depending on what your budget is. They have a donation center in which I am not pleased about because they have very complicating hours in which conflict for others. For example, my husband and I decided to take a bag of clothes to the donation center, it was barely around 2:30 p.m. on a Wednesday, and the donation center was already closed! This did not help at all! There were no posted signs that were helpful indicate operation hours. Come on people of the Goodwill! People have a life too! Lets be a little organized! I give a four star rating because the shopping can be pleasant, however.

I cant remember the last time I visited a Good will place prior to this 1. Like every other place it takes patience and time to locate something you might really like. I left there happy with 3 great personal buys for less than $20 how can you ever be upset at saving money. Staff was nice and friendly. Items organized for the most part, only thing I would suggest is a little more cleaning/throwing away items that will never sale. But hey I will be back soon, to this location or another. With patience and a budget in mind it can be an affordable time passing experience. 📔✍

I loved the costumer service after shopping I saw some ear buds and I wasnt going to buy them thinking they didnt work but the lady was kind to let me test them out she even tried them with me. 10/10 would recommend

They raised the prices on everything. Kids clothes is now double the price. Before a Kids tshirt was $1.99 - $2.99. Now the lowest price on any clothes is $5.99. Might as well buy it new at target

OVERPRICED!!!! Saw trollz puzzles that are from dollar tree (where everything is $1) and they are selling them for ---$5.99--- I have these puzzles from dollar tree so I know they are from there. A toy from targets dollar area clearly had that red square with the $3 price, again they chose to price it at $5.99. unbelievable.

Besides the time that I was accused of switching price tags by an employee which was not true employees should be more considerate before accusing a customer of something like that other than that my experiences have been good

Horrible store parking lot was crazy, store had a long line atleast 30 people waiting to pay and everything was over priced and damaged

Fast and easy, they took our goods and we were out of there in five minutes

Nothing but trash here and the prices are outrageously high. Walked out with nothing. I won’t be back.

I tried to donate some children and Christian books at this location and the lady would not accept them. SMH

Been here a couple of time and I think they’re a little overpriced for a goodwill . Some stuff are priced at the same price something new would cost you . Maybe you can try a thrift store near by . They’re a lot better with prices .

I love this place and I’ve always found the staff friendly just seems as there needs a bit more organization. The stuff are at affordable prices as well as having great deals and the color of the day!

The management was horrible you have a return and they peel the price sticker off and tell you take it back to your original store

Sometimes theres long lines but usually go quick but good cheap stuff here new shower curtains, bed sets, comforters, rugs, sucks you cant try on the clothes but hey staff really cool.

There was pretty good stuff there, but the workers were really sketchy. One of them was staring at my friend and I the entire time. I didn’t get to enjoy shopping.

They dont post times when they will accept donations. Wasting several days trying to donate.

For nearly a decade, Ive been a loyal customer and experienced optimal service. Nonetheless, throughout the years there has been many changes of their employees. However, their incentive is still the same: Provide opportunities for employees and exceptional customer serivce. It enables veterans, unemployed adults, and persons with disabilities to seek employment. Fortunately, Ive never had a fatal encounter here with a worker or otherwise. On a final note, Monica and Patrick present diligence upon customers. They also place skill in their craft of work and pride; Its a guiding principle other employees might learn something from. Overall, its a great establishment.

I’m from Indiana and the goodwill stores there are a lot different. If you are going to browse for hours and aren’t in a hurry then it’s fine, however if you like organization then this isn’t your place! Not sorted by size at all. Like a big rummage sell and sort of has a bit of a dirty feel to it.

This is my favorite place ever. The employees are the most friendliest, they welcome you the moment you walk in, very helpful, they make announcements through out the day, very clean. I absolutely really enjoy my visit here. Keep up the fabulous job and once again most of the employees are very sweet n friendly. Never rude. Great customer service

I enjoyed my time here. I find really cool small black suede leather purse with a nice long strap. It appears to be handmade & just my style. I love what can be found at this location.

The Downey goodwill is so over priced its no joke!On Thursdays they haveDollar Day they only put out the trashiest of the trash!I think the Good Will forgot what theyre here for.The less fortunate &The Needy should be able to afford buying from here.The Good Will needs to be reminded of how they got their name GOOD- WILL.PEACE & GOODWILLTO ALL!So it dont make anysense:WHY SO MUCHIf you are one of theabove mentioned people, just know you will probably be pushed to your budget/limitswith your money because they really ARE OVER PRICED!

The employees are very friendly, but the store is so unorganized and dirty, the racks are so stuffed you cant look thru them.

Fun place to go for treasure. I like that they came down on their prices for hair appliances. Got a flat iron and a great pair of leather shoes today. The restroom needs to be cleaned more frequently and soap added to the dispenser.

Prices are a tiny bit high for a thrift store, but its not too bad. Donations crew is usually pretty willing to help out with heavy stuff. Parking sucks.

Somewhat a mess when I go in! But over all I have been able to find many little gems here. I also bring things to donate. You can not bring baby items that expire just an FYI. The parking can be a bit tight as well.

Goodwill is a great place to find not just used items but , new items as well. It may take a little looking but they have them. Today I found an authentic Louis Vuitton designer purse for only $24.99!!! Yes, it does require some repairs to be done but for the price its worth it. I didnt purchase because I already have to many purses . Another great item I found at Goodwill today were brand new queen and king size Bamboo pillows! They are selling for $11.98 For queen size and $14.98 For the king size. But they have some special today and knocked off $3.00 from the queen and king sizes. So I got 2 queen size pillows brand new for only $17!!! Thats a great bargain!!!Happy Thrifting !

Amazingly overpriced. How can a company that gets free labor, free products to sell, and discounted rent feel the need to make such a huge profit margin? Salvation Army is better, and I am going to local garage sales more.

I didnt care for this Goodwill too much. Its very expensive in comparison to other thrift stores Ive been to. Id rather go to the Village Thrift Store because the prices are almost half as cheap and theres more sales. I wouldnt visit this place again unless I was looking for household items. It may be good for that. I saw some brand new pots and Tupperware. They also have nice furniture and new sheet sets. Its slightly less expensive than if you went to a Walmart

On a whim, I decided to stop in this Goodwill in Downey on my way home from work. I found a cute desk lamp, the staff helped me with providing a bulb and plugging it in to see if it worked AFTER I had accidentally dropped a glass item and broke it. I was shocked as the manager, Linda and the assistant manager, Lupe, didn’t show frustration, judgement, or uphold the “break if you buy it” policy. They were so incredibly sweet and did not make me feel embarrassed for my mistake. While I was in line to pay, Linda found me again and drew up a conversation about the lamp. She said she had an even nicer table lamp she wanted to offer me and man, was it beautiful! It was a hundred times better quality than the one I was planning to buy and for about $5 more dollars, I would have a much sturdier lamp in excellent shape with a glass shade and two bulbs that would make for a brighter room. The best part is she said she has a matching one that she bought from Lowe’s and even still, offered the treasure to me when I’m sure as the manager she could have bought for herself and added in her own home. It is especially satisfying when you buy something second hand and learn of its high regular retail value! THANK YOU LINDA!I am truly blown away by the kindness and generosity I was shown on my visit!My motto for thrift stores is: “You never know what you can find”. Now I’m going to say, “You never know what you can find or who you can meet.” It was a pleasure to have such a sweet encounter with the staff and management of this thrift store. I am an avid shopper at thrift-stores and Goodwills in many different cities through LA and Orang County. Friendliness, care, and even acknowledgement as a human often lacks in stores. However, Linda and Lupe, broke the mold on this visit and I cannot wait to return and see my friends again. If I hadn’t said it yet, THANK YOU!

I stopped taking stuff for donation due to the staff being very lazy and rude. On 2-3 occasions the lobby in drop off area were completely full because they were too busy chatting and/or doing nothing. So when people arrive with more stuff they get upset, they get their attitude, and expect You to move the items already in their lobby to make room for your new items. So where does the money to pay for their salary come fro ? Lol. Just drop off items during non operating hours.

Staff not nice. Specially a old lady that has pony tail she’s light skin, black hair, chubby and wears glasses she treats ppl bad, yells at them with no reason. price a little high compare to other goodwill and a minus cause there is no carts and not many baskets and there’s always the same things the donation room is full of stiff. They don’t take out stuff.

We had a bad experience. My children were harrassed by the store manager. I was told her name was Linda. She is not child friendly or latino friendly. She harrassed my children over the speaker. They were not misbehaving at all. As soon as we arrived she started harassing us. The entire 20 minutes we were there. Constant harrassment over the speaker. I left for the safety of my family. Why is she allowed to do this to children and discriminate? Now my kids are traumatized for experiencing the hate.

Decent clothing prices a little high except on high end jeans which you can find for less than 5$ . However, its impossible to navigate or not get frustrated as racks are too fully packed and you cant see the items or move hangers without dropping clothes.

I live in arizona and like to thrift shop so i had my boyfriend who i’m visiting take me to check this one out. i like how spacious and organized the sections were- but the clothes themselves are not organized. where i live, the goodwill’s have them separated by size and on labeled racks which go by size as well as the type of clothing. i felt overwhelmed in this store, i think it is careless to not add sizes anywhere. the tags on the clothing items just say “other” as the size. also i wanted to look through the jeans but with how full the racks were i truly couldn’t even bring myself to go searching for one pair in the mix that might be my size. i also felt that the prices are a tad bit higher at this store, but i think that may be just because it’s california. arizona is cheaper in most aspects so i’m assuming that’s why. i did end up finding two shirts i liked that are my size but i won’t be coming back here when i visit california.

Goodwill would not take my stuff I have at least $800 worth of almost brand new things in the truck they saw a couple things on top they said we cant take all of this so I took it all the Salvation Army Salvation Army definitely scored and theyre actually nonprofit unlike Goodwill

Dirty and only partly organized. This place has bargains, but it is a thrift store. Nothing fancy here. It is a jumble of stuff.

The employees are not friendly at all. The store is unorganized and all the clothes are well over priced. Maybe if things were not priced so high you would get rid of the stuff faster. Also the donation center is so full you cant even step in the door and make sure to bring help if you have a lot of items cuz they are to lazy to help and even send you away if the things are to heavy for them to carry.

Fast easy to donate and they will email you the paper for your taxes

I made a donation about 2 weeks ago. There were 2 young guys in the donation receiving area. The young guy with tattoos on his arms was more busy huffing and puffing than actually working.The entire donation lobby was already full by the time I arrived and he continued to huff and puff even more while I dropped off my acceptable donations.I suggested he actually starts working instead of just complaining about his job. Clearly he doesnt want to work there and provides horrible customers service.He said I needed to help him move the boxes so he could give me my receipt. Hahaha. I informed him I didnt need one!

Was here 06/19/18 at 4:30ish p.m and had the most rudest customer service ever. The cashiers name was jasmine. First i waited for service for a play station 2 that was on display for almost 20 minutes! I saw another play station 2 that was placed on hold for someone that they claimed left the store some time ago so i asked if i may purchase this one. No we hold on the item for at least 1 hr. Well ok thats reasonable so i browsed and returned with a purchased and ask how long has it been on hold for cause i can purchase at this time. She said i dont know........... with a 10 second stare down feeling up most uncomfortable ! I ask will i be able to purchase today and claimed........ silence very rude ive worked for the goodwill in Nevada Las Vegas at the Decatur location ! I will make sure this employee is heard of never had rude service at any good will and i will make sure no one else will.
