We came in just browsing about an hour before close. We had already looked at other big box stores, but wanted to compare the selection here since their advertised prices online were much lower. We ended up buying a new refrigerator, and the process of paying and scheduling delivery took less than 10 minutes. The sales people were very helpful, but not overbearing. We ended up paying about $400 less than we would have for the same refrigerator at a major appliance store.

This was my first visit to Grand Appliance in Downers Grove. It was AWESOME!! Wonderful selections. I purchased a GE washing machine. Anthony Houdek was my salesperson. He was FANTASTIC!! I recommend this store highly and without any reservations whatsoever!! Enjoy!!

My wife and I went in to the Downers Grove store to purchase a dishwasher to replace our old GE unit. The salesman was courteous and knowledgeable. He provided information and details on 3 different models. He answered all the questions we asked and provided additional product knowledge to aid our decision process. We ultimately selected a Bosch dishwasher. The entire process was courteous and professional. We will definitely consider Grand Appliance as a source for future purchases.

We had our home extensively damaged in a tornado a couple of months ago. We needed to replace all of our kitchen appliances and went to Grand Appliance hoping we would find what we needed and that it would be available. Bruce could not have been more helpful. He walked us through the store showing us various options and explaining the features of each appliance. He was informative, thorough, patient, and pleasant. He went out of his way to try to find things at other locations for us. I could not be more pleased with our experience today.

To me Grand appliances and electronics is the best place to buy television and appliances. I tried many well known retailers to buy a tv at reasonable price but no retailer worked with me but the Grand Appliances in Downer Grove offered me to buy at reasonable price .The Grand employee name Justin was so nice and friendly that in the future, I will buy everything from Grand Appliances. Best Buy puts you on hold and nobody answers phone for at least 10 minutes

Went to Grand Appliance in Downers Grove on 9/2/21 and purchased 4 major appliances from Bruce Shear. Yesterday was delivery date and only 2 appliances were delivered. Refrigerator on back order (which I knew about) and microwave damaged.. Hopefully both will arrive soon! Delivery was made around 7 pm and delivery men were Gerardo and Colecton. 2 very nice, polite young men These men got right to work installing stove and dishwasher. I couldnt be happier with their performance.. Even took time to answer my questions and show me how to work some things. I can only hope they are the ones to bring remaining items..Very good workers and know what they are doing!!Today 9/22 I received my third appliance-the microwave. The installerwas a very nice, polite young man named Quinn. He not only installed the new microwave but was kind enough to show me how to operate it and answer all my crazy questions.I cannot say enough nice things about the delivery men who have been here. Excellent!!Still waiting on refrigerator-hoping for it to come sooooooon!

Bruce was very nice, but him asking if I was vaccinated was incredibly off putting. I did not ask him about his medical information, still not sure why he thought to ask about mine. I am contemplating returning the product and cancelling the sale. A salesman should know better than to alienate half of their clientele.

They were very helpful! Courteous as well! Much better than Home Depot in Villa Park. The guy I asked for help literally said I could look it up on line couldn’t be bothered at all!! Then went back to looking at the computer he was on. Never would I recommend that store in Villa Park.

Of course when Bruce is working. Thanks Bruce!Today, 10/12, is the delivery day. Got a call from the delivery service that theyre going to have to reschedule because the installer hurt his back. I got this on a VM. Called back and told Lisa that I get that there was an emergency but were not getting paid for taking the day off. And we wont be getting paid for taking off for the next delivery, That didnt seem to make a diffetence. Her main concern was for the installer and got a little salty saying im sure he didnt want to end up in the hospital. Im sure he didnt but they dont have a back up driver? Then got a callback from the salesperson and he didnt seem to care that much either. Wont shop here again.

I wanted to place an order. The website does not have an email address. Only a phone number and a way to test for info. I left two messages on voicemail and never got a call back... after six hours. I texted and was given inaccurate information about availability of the items I wanted. Finally, I called the Downers Grove store and they were very accommodating. Placed the order through the store easily. I recommend contacting your nearest store directly.

My experience with Grand Appliance was excellent. My refrigerator broke and I called several different appliance stores and they were all the same. A little over two weeks to a month. Grand Appliance said it could be delivered in eight days. But they knew how desperate I was and had it delivered in three days. The service was great. A shout out to Heidi Jennings. She was my Christmas miracle.

We have a ten year old upright freezer downstairs that has slowly been going on the FRITZ. The service technician said the unit it would cost hundreds of $$ to repair with no guarantee of when parts would even be available due to COVID-19.I have been looking online for a brand new upright freezer with little or no success - again due to COVID-19 availability issues. Lucky I was given the name of Justin Funk at Grand Appliances in Downers Grove as a great person to contact. Purchased a dishwasher told it sould be available in 6 weeks, they called at about 8 weeks to set an app for installation. I took off work and they did not come. I called that evening and they said no your appt is next monday. I took off work again. Then they called to say the dishwasher was not for me and they dont know when I will receive mine. I spoke with a manager from a different store and requested to speak with a general manager no calls. Yesterday they called to say maybe April or may, they tried to upsell a more expensive dishwasher Wow just wow.

We had purchased our very first fridge with them over 30 years ago and just came back full circle to replace our current model. Lets hope the delivery and installation go as smoothly this Saturday.

I visited the store to look at refrigerators. I had done some online research, so I knew what I was looking for. I was greeted by a man and a young lady. Both were quick to ask if I needed help. My experience was good and i did purchase a fridge.

Grand appliance helped me out tremendously when my refrigerator stopped working. They were able to go above and beyond to get the fridge to me in a timely manner. I have already recommended Grand to others.

We tried to get a new refrigerator at a big box. They couldn’t promise to get it into our house with narrow doors. We had to cancel. Our next door neighbor suggested Grand’s. What a different experience that was. I sent them our measurements, picked a model to fit the space and their delivery department OK’d removing the refrigerator doors to get it in. John in Downers Grove was a great help.

We worked with John Enright in Downers Grove to order all new appliances for our kitchen. They are very knowledgeable about the products and very helpful. Select from literally anything being manufactured. Good prices, easy to work with.UPDATE: 3 Months later, finally got our stove and guess what? The oven didnt work, and Grand essentially disappeared on us. Four calls, four messages (with real people) but no calls back. Then they sent out a GE repair man - without letting us know - who said the item was defective. More calls to Grand, more promises for call backs, no call backs. Finally, finally, they replaced the stove. Long story short, Grand is great on sales, very poor on customer service. Never again. Abt, here I come.
