Took my dad there for new shoes. Hes diabetic. The young man that assisted us was outstanding!! He was helpful, professional and very informative about any shoe we asked about. Came out with new, comfortable shoes. They didnt have the moccasin slippers in his size but ordered them for us.

Owerall nice store - three floors (mens, womens, kids) full of shoes, boots, sports shoes, dress shoes. Also some basic clothes are available. Helpful and knowledgeable staff ready to assist you. Good return policy. Prices can be couple dollars higher then other stores.

I am 28 years old and I grew up in the town over from Dover, where Reds is located. I have never been there, to buy shoes. I have always bought them online because I let social media and current trends do most of my shopping for me. However, I was very impressed with the help and knowledge I got at Reds. Andrew greeted me after I had looked around for a few minutes, and asked if I needed help, and then made thoughtful suggestions after asking me questions about what I was looking for. He showed a very specific knowledge of things that would never have occured to me when choosing a winter shoe, and he was able to outfit me with a style and form of snow sneaker that I didnt even know existed. It was an overall five-star customer experience that will keep me going back and for sure recommending Reds to friends and family. The prices are comparable to online. There may be times you find 20-30$ off what your looking for. But the 20-30 is well worth the knowledge these salesman provide. Walk in knowing the basics of what your looking for, and these guys and gals will knock 30-45 minutes off the time you expected to search for the shoe or boot you know you need. Give these guys and gals a visit, it may just change the way you view shoe shopping for the rest of your life. Will be back again, without a doubt!

I have a few disabilities and was about to struggle down the stairs with my two canes, for new boots. Since i wear orthotics and a brace, shoes must be special. Keene, mens boots are good and the checkout clerk suggested i have a clerk bring shoes to me. They were so helpful and the young man, Nico, who waited on me was kind, helpful and put me right at ease. He brought the correct size first try and i was all set and happy! If you have any trouble with hard to fit feet, Reds shoe barn is the institution around here.

I was at Reds today to purchase a pair of work shoes. I asked a female clerk to help me, she didn’t present herself to be helpful at all. She distanced herself from me and made me feel I was putting her out and as if I had Covid. I felt very uncomfortable and upset. I left the store with no shoes and purchased a pair at Bootleggers where I was taken very good care of. If for nothing else, I will not go out of my way to shop there again.

I’m new to the area and someone recommend Red’s to me for new work shoes. Niko was really friendly and accommodating. Spent over an hour with me while I tried on about a dozen different types of shoes. The pair I wanted had to be special ordered, but I wasn’t concerned. He did warn me it would take 3-5 weeks. Imagine my surprise when I got a call in just 1 week! Everyone there is very friendly, accommodating and easy going.I’ll be back for sure!

My granddaughter needed and wanted a pair of sneakers for her birthday but my son didn’t want her to go into the store because of Covid restrictions. I explained the situation to the sales person in the children’s department. We spoke to my granddaughter via phone to find out what she wanted, then the sales clerk put on her coat, and carried boxes of shoes out to the parking lot, with a mat for my granddaughter to stand on! My granddaughter was so excited to find the perfect pair of shoes. This helpful response not only made this 7 years olds day perfect, but the rest of the family as well! The selection was broad enough for her to find shoes she was excited about, and the price was right for this grandmother. Thank you, Red’s, for being so helpful in this difficult season!

I didnt realize they were considered a non-essential business. During this time, people still need shoes. I went to the store not knowing they were closed. A note on the door said to call so I did from the parking lot. They are still there fulfilling orders for people and doing curbside pick-up. The gentleman I dealt with on the phone was amazing! He walked me through the process and told me I could find all their shoes on facebook. He kept me on the line while he checked their stock. He took my payment over the phone and then brought the shoes right out. Awesome service! Thank you for being there for us!

The staff are so helpful. They always measure my children’s feet and have good knowledge of what brands might fit their foot size best in terms of width. Today I purchased 2 pairs each for my 2 kids and with the discounts and coupon it was only $74 ($18.50 per pair!). Great deals and awesome staff. Heather gave me so much information and help finding me the BEST sneakers for MY feet today. The Brooks Ghost 12 won! Then she observed me looking at sandals and came over and offered more help and advice to find the ones = Teva Tierra in Beiring Sea blue! This was first shopping experience since Covid-19 started and it was great!

I mistakenly called them after they had closed-during the CHRISTMAS season-and the people who were still there still made an incredibly generous effort to help me. It was like I was the most important thing they had to do. They went and looked for the shoes I needed; discussed among themselves in another department what I needed; and when they found out where I lived, recommended a closer Red Shoe Barn-even arranging for the shoes to be at that store the next day for me. All this after they were closed! But it was the wholehearted way they did it (probably after a very busy, long day!) that was most impressive.They were very cheerful givers, genuinely committed to wanting to help me out. Went in looking for a pair of shoes for work. I wear a size 11, so I appreciated that each shoes tag says what sizes it comes in. The selection was very good and well organized. I found a number of shoes that were cute, but still comfortable enough to stand all day. Sales staff was very helpful and quick to collect shoes and offer opinions. Clearance area was huge, well organized and well priced. The regular priced pair of shoes I purchased was $20 below the price I found online, clearance pair was over $50 below! Ill be back.

Reds has a great selection of quality sneakers, boots, and casual shoes. Some of their employees also have specialized training in footwear, which had been a terrific help to me. I want to specifically recognize Kelly, who helped me find new sneakers for my flat, overpronating feet. More recently, she helped me again when I exchanged hiking boots I bought without assistance, that didnt end up fitting well once I wore them around the house for a few days. I would definitely recommend Reds, and their highly trained and knowledgeable staff!!!

I have been coming to reds for years and today I was not impressed. I asked for a sneaker in my size the girl seemed like i was bothering her from leaning when I asked.. they disnt have my size in the color i wanted so i nicely asked if they had my size in a different shoe and her response was I dont know I have to look with an eye roll she went and got the sneakers and tossed the box at my feet and walked away . This is not the reds I remember

I now go out of my way from 30 minutes to the south to shop for most styles of shoes here. Very generous, as I was able to get a store credit after returning some boots that I thought were needed for a new job, but in fact were not. The sales people also are very knowledgable and helpful in picking out a good sandal for my needs. They will quickly and efficiently get you the right size if they dont have it, as they communicate frequently with their other location in Plaistow. Didnt know much about Reds until the past year. If you go at a busy time, it can get pretty zany and you may have to be patient. Their shoe salesmen really are trying to help everyone the best they can. Perhaps avoid those weekend afternoon time frames. But I highly recommend Reds.

Had great service in mens department during sidewalk sale (moved inside due to rain). Employee even went to look at back stock for out of season waterproof shoe. Yes, women and girls do buy mens sneakers and shoes !

Great selection of shoes even though the price can be high at times. Couple of the star deduction comes into play when employees arent as helpful or they assume by ones look that the service can differentiate. What I mean by that, the customer in front of me were asked about the rewards program while I was only told the total. Or getting brushed off because I just strolled in with my work clothes. If youre a minority and/or dont look well dressed expect to be treated a little different. Almost felt uncomfortable to be honest.Little do they know some of the things sold at this store is in fact designed by someone I know personally including some well known brands. It almost has this old money type of mentality (even though theyre in Dover...) Ive seen in Portsmouth. The younger employees are definitely have been helpful in the kids department.

They have a large selection of shoes. In fact, 3 floors! My wife headed to the womans floor, while I went down to check out the mens floor. We picked up some great Snow boots, and shoes while there. The prices are fair, but you really need to look around. Some things were priced a little high, especially in the kids department. Regardless, if you need a pair of shoes, sneakers, boots, or anything to put on your feet, this is the best place to go in the area.
