Paid $683 for a replacement Knock sensor. I got exactly 50 miles away from the dealership and got a CEL (Check Engine Light) I opened the hood and found the following cable completely disconnected. I called the dealership who walked me through reconnecting the cable they forgot to reconnect. I was told they did NOT test drive the car by the service manager John. I did like the spare parts guy Logan, he was very helpful. Unless you REALLY need a spare part, I would avoid this dealership.

I went in to have a diagnostic run on my Toyota, a simple plug and read a computer screen which takes, maybe 3 minutes. After being told that they had a technician free that “can run out real quick” the Gentlemen proceeded to tell me that it was going to be $150…that’s $3,000 and hour labor rate! After I had mentioned that to the Service associate, I was told that “I could go somewhere else”.There is no doubt in my mind why C.F. Schwartz is the worst Toyota dealer in Delaware, if not the north east region of the United States of America. It is baffled me for years how they stay in business.My recommendation is to take a 20 minute drive south to Hertrich Toyota Milford. They are worth AMAZING to work with and are worth every second of the drive, especially compared to C.F. Schwartz!

I had an appointment for an oil change and tire rotations at 3:00 29 June 2021 on a 2020 Rav 4 with around 6500 miles. The service was done in a timely manner however the service writer wanted to sell us a new tire because of a nail/screw in the sidewall. We declined purchasing a new tire from them, paid our bill and then went home. When i examined the faulty tire mentioned, i noted that the screw was in the tread and NOT the sidewall, and would be easily repairable. I think the service dept. hoped i would just take their word for the screw location and pay them for a new tire. Instead, i had the tire repaired for a small sum by another service provider. This is a really despicable tactic by a struggling dealership to improve the bottom line. This wasnt a mistake or misunderstanding. You can also form your own opinion on how the screw got in the tire but there was no tire pressure warnings before i went to the dealer for service. It was however, nearly flat the next day. I wont be going back here for service and i would recommend everyone else stay away. Also, when they rotated my tires, they didnt recalibrate the TPS so that the correct tire would indicate low. It is hard to believe this kind of sh*t goes on these days.

We made an appointment for an oil change, and drove into the bay on time. The customer service staff were very busy answering the phones, but helped me after a few minutes. The young man who helped me said they would also rotate the tires. As that was always included as a free service at our last dealership, I said thank you. He said it would be ready in 1 to 1.5 hours.After about an hour, we got a call informing us we needed a new cabin filter. We declined because we replaced it ourselves approximately 50 miles ago.When we returned to pick up the vehicle, the woman at the counter informed me that one tire had a puncture and needed to be replaced for $268. The low tire pressure warning had not activated. She said the tire was 2psi lower than the other front tire, so there was a puncture. I declined and was then shocked to see the bill for the oils change was $89.89! I questioned the amount, and a man came over and said $35.95 for oil, $41.95 to change the oil, and $5.99 for the filter. I paid and left.I drove the vehicle about 15 miles and had the tires checked. The one that allegedly had a leak was at 40psi and the cap was very loose. The other tires were between 34.5 and 36psi.We have NEVER paid more than $45 for an oil change. I do not appreciate that they lied about the cabin filter. I also question their judgment at trying to sell one new tire to me. The tires all have 33k miles on them, and it doesn’t make sense to buy just one. We will not return to this dealership again.

I was visiting Delaware and I locked my keys in the trunk. I have a new 2020 Toyota Camry and I believe for security reasons the design of my vehicle doesnt allow a way to get into the trunk through the back passenger seats. Either case I had to get my car vehicle towed to CF Schwartz so that they can try to get into my vehicle. Well it took almost all day to get my vehicle towed to CF Schwartz right about the time they were closing. John the service manager helped me check out what he could do if anything. I realized it was after hours and he was checking to see if he could remote unlock or get a key ordered. I was so thankful for the extra effort. I appreciated the above and beyond time he took. He made me feel that my car was safe and will be well taken care of. It was already a hard day after this ordeal that it was comforting that it was a good place. Today I was able to get someone to come to the dealership to open the car up. Again John was able to take the time to see if he could open my trunk. Then came the rest of the guys in the pouring rain taking the time to see if they could help. They tried everything but one trick work and I was able to get my key. I cant thank them enough for taking time to help. I am in awe of their service and I would highly recommend to take your car there. I not only think they have your best interest but they want to make sure it is done right and for a reasonable price. If read this and you take your car their let them know I sent you. The woman that locked her keys in the trunk that lives in Florida.

Called to speak to someone in sales and the sales person was rude, did not know the truck or how to do his job. I ask if I could pre-order a truck and he said no. I told him i was going to put $25,000 down to pre-order..he said he had been a salesman for 25 years and never heard of this.. I talked to 2 other dealerships and YES you can pre-order a Tacoma Toyota. If you are ready to buy a truck call Hertrich Toyota in Milford or Koons in Easton MD..they can assist you in buy6your new vehicles..stress free.I bet his boss is going to be upset that he lost a sale...that salesman never gave me his name so I couldnt report him...he just answered the phone hello....with no professionalism.

The only positive I have about this dealership is the price on my truck, other than that the buying experience has been nothing but trouble. I purchased my truck on July 22, 2020, only after purchasing the truck was I told that the truck had not been detailed and I was owed a detail (I was told two days prior that it would be detailed before pickup). Although I was a bit annoyed by this I decided that it could be overlooked as they promised a detail that upcoming weekend. Flash forward to the weekend and I hear nothing from the dealership, after reaching out I was told the person who was supposed to come in for the detail did not show up. Finally, I reached out to a supervisor and asked if instead of a detail if they could possibly change my oil instead (prior to buying the truck they allegedly changed my oil but never reset the computer so I was unsure if this oil change ever actually happened). I was told rudely that my truck was sent out to be detailed (costing them $170) and that they would not provide me any free services the best they can do is a wash… there is absolutely no way this truck was detailed, there was enough dog hair in between the seats to build a small dog, as well as crumbs and a sticky residue all over my console.To only add to the obvious ignorance of this company the night I purchased my truck I realized there was a discrepancy between the Carfax mileage readout and my trucks readout, so beware. I realized while going through their other inventory this was a reoccurring event. When I brought this to their attention I was told it was an error in inputting the information and it would be fixed, makes me wonder what else they may have lied about.Lastly, my plates. I understand that out-of-state plates may take some time to come in and I was prepared for that, however, I was not prepared to wait over 40 days. When I called the dealership I was greeted by a less than pleasant receptionist, when I explained to her that my temporary plates were going to expire in a week she very rudely explained “well they aren’t expired yet”. The next time I followed up the same woman told me that my plates were delayed because paper work was kicked back to them a week prior to this conversation and they needed to resubmit. When I asked her why no one thought to give me a courtesy call she was rude and condescending telling me they don’t do that. She told me the day my temporary tags were to expire come in and they will give me a new temp tag. Well the day of expiration I called to go in for my new temp tags, I was told I could drive around with my expired ones because the police wouldn’t pull me over… I informed them that I would absolutely not drive around with expired tags. I was then told if I wanted new temp tags I could go to the DMV and pay for them. Finally after explaining I was initially told differently they reluctantly offered let me use a dealer plate until mine arrived. 44 days later and my plates are FINALY ready for pick up, I absolutely cannot be more ready to be done with this dealership.

I went to another Toyota dealership prior to this one, and the treatment at this one, was night and day. The entire staff is very friendly and welcoming. Here they do not waste your time going back and forth to come to an agreement on payment terms. They work with you and are very honest about everything. Not the Oh let me see what I can do.... or You know what I am going to talk to my manager and get you a great deal.... after countless back and forth prior. They get straight to the point. They even stayed after hours to get the agreement done, so I could go home with my new SUV. I am extremely happy I went to this family owned business to purchase my SUV. :) Mark Smith, Keith Shirey, and Steve Spangler were absolutely amazing during the entire process. I highly recommend coming here to purchase your vehicle.

We dont have a title for this car We cant register the car or get license plates for our car. Our temporary tags and registration are now expiring. We wont be able to drive our car. I had an awesome experience at CF Schwartz Toyota. They were great from start to finish. My husband and I were looking for a vehicle for our daughter that fit our needs and budget. Worse customer service I ever experienced. I am new to the community and chose C F Schwartz to service my vehicle since they were close to where I live. I was told I was 3min outside of their shuttle service area. I asked for a one time consideration since it only amounted to a total of 6 min and I was new to the community with no one to available to bring me. I was told no, and that I should consider catching a cab. This is the worse case of customer service I have ever experienced, which I allowed to take me out of my element, to the point of using profanity, which I regret doing and apologize. However, I do not understand a dealership who is not willing to make a minor one time exception when it was only a matter of approximately a total of 6 min. for the sake of customer satisfaction and continual customer business. So if you are looking for polite and accommodating customer service at the Service Department, please DO NOT CHOOSE C F SCHWARTZ TOYOTA SCION AS YOUR VEHICLE SERVICE PROVIDER.. I asked to speak to the owner or have the owners e-mail address. They said they did not know the owners number and gave me the service departments e-mail address. So not to mention they tell lies as well. I give the service department and the customer relations department MINUS 5 STARS!!!!!! THE ONLY REASON ONE STAR IS SELECTED IS BECAUSE I COULD NOT SUBMIT MY COMMENT WITHOUT SELECTING AT LEAST ONE START. Two strikes for this dealer from this loyal Toyota buyer. I took my Tacoma there for a recall (undercoating) and they made a mess of my vehicle. I got another recall for leaf springs, and was told I had to bring it in first for inspection. I drive 30 minutes each way so a tech can take a 30-second look and say we dont have the parts. Inspection? Really? I had to drive an hour for that? Then when I took the vehicle in I took them up on their offer for a free brake check. While waiting they tried to sell me on new air filters for $60. Then when my vehicle was done they tell me they didnt check my brakes because they booked only 2 hours for the job because Toyota doesnt pay them enough for recalls. I told the service writer there was a problem with the emergency brake, and the correct response should have been, Lets pull those drums and see whats wrong. But nope, just reassurances that drum brakes dont often go bad, and the emergency brake probably just needs adjusted. They didnt have time to fulfill their promise for a free brake check, but they had time to remove my air filters and try to sell me on $60 in parts and labor. In the 2 hours I was in the waiting room only two customers came through, and the service bay was empty with people standing around. I now know why. My advice - drive 2 miles down 13 south to Pep Boys, where a free brake check actually gets your brakes properly inspected!

I’ll be in the market for a new Toyota, but waiting for the end of year sales. However I will not be coming to CF Swartz. Took my Toyota Camry to check why the stability control light was on, they can’t check the vehicle stability control because they say I need a new brake booster. The part factory part is $800 and— get this— they tell me there are only 5 left in the country and they have to order it from California! Add another $500 in labor and fees to install and I’m looking at roughly $1300. I got the part new for $200 at the local auto parts store, and Meineke will install for $300. This dealership is a ripoff. I will go elsewhere to buy my Toyota in December.

I bought my 2001 Toyota Camry here. I loved the sales department and would def buy a car from them again. Mark was my sales person and he was very friendly and willing to work with me.I had to get a part for my car a couple months after I got my car (a charcoal canister. No big deal). I called the parts department at C.F. Schwartz to get a quote and they told me $315. I called around and it seemed to be the same price else where but decided to get it here. When I went in to get it, they told me it was something like $460. When I told I got quoted $315, I dont know who it was but the guy got ignorant and said that maybe I called some where else. Almost like I was being called a liar to my face. I got some money knocked off but not knocked down to what I was quoted.I dont think I will use the parts department again or recommend them to anyone. But I would by from Mark again.

This review is for the service department. This is one of the worst service centers I have ever dealt with. First, they are extremely difficult to work you in for an appointment. Usually I have to schedule 2 weeks out because the only appointments they have are in the middle of the day when I am working. They will not call you back if they have a cancellation. Other Scion dealers can work you in the next day or even the same day if needed. Secondly, they didnt even know the maintenance schedule on my Scion. They even argued with me about it when I had the owners manual in my hand with the maintenance schedule. I had to call Toyota to get them to realize they were wrong. What kind of dealer doesnt even know the service schedule and then says you dont know what your talking about??? They need some serious revamping of their customer service if they want me to ever come back there again. I would not recommend them to a friend.

This is the worse Toyota dealership I have used in my life. The service professionals are not knowledgeable and provide elementary responses to your questions. Very blue collar. I took my car in for repairs and someone took my e-cigarette from my personal belongings.The second time I took my car in, mainly because the only Toyota dealer in the area, I went in for one thing, because I refused additional parts, they charged me anyway.

What is wrong with the people at this place?. They are so rude and treat you differently based on how you look. I went there twice, one week apart dressed differently. Casual dressed, took 13 mins (timed it) on a slow Tuesday, before someone came to greet me and even that was rude. Dressed business casual, people ran right to me.Either way, I can not believe this place is still open with there bad customer service and all the other bad reviews they get. I thought that I was the only person experiencing this bad service, but after reading other reviews, I know this place is bad.AVOID THIS PLACE!!!!

Brought my boyfriends 2010 Prius in because it wouldnt start. The issue was fixed but the technician ripped wires out of my subwoofer. When I asked them about it the technician said my $4k repair was covered under warranty so I have no right to complain that they damaged my brand new $2k subwoofer and amp. When I asked if they can fix it I was told its aftermarket and they cant touch it. They had no problem pushing it out of the way without care or concern for the wires soldered in. They had no respect for my property, they just shoved it out of the way like it was a empty cigarette pack. I was never told my sub didnt work, I was told it was moved and that was it. Not that wires were damaged or that the amp was damaged. Now neither work and Im out two thousand dollars. I was told not to complain because my car was fixed for free under warranty. Never returning, telling anyone I know with a Toyota to absolutely steer clear of this location. If that technician doesnt care about my property, why would they treat anyone elses property different? All in all, they fixed my car and damaged my property in one fell swoop. Its nice to know your customers come first. After being spoken too like that, I feel completely and utterly disrespected by being told my free fix now cost me two thousand dollars. Thanks.

I would avoid this dealership at all costs, the service department, in particular. Here is why, its not a workmanship issue per say, but they are blatantly dishonest to the point it is insulting. Take your business down to Hertrich. My service advisor was Tesla Melvin, but it was an older mechanic who was the root cause here. I brought my 2016 Tacoma in for a service under Toyota care at 16,020 miles on May 22, 2017. The oil change interval is 10,000 miles, unless used for heavy towing or extensive off road use, at which point the manual recommends 5,000 miles. Toyota care only provides 2 free oil changes, understandable. I had my oil changed around 10,000 miles, but for about 4500 of the last 6020 miles I had been towing a fairly loaded trailer around the southeast region of the country. Upon checking in with the service desk I explained this, acknowledged that iI would be using my second and last oil change and was ok with that, and was seated. Upon receiving my keys back at the completion of the service which took about an hour and half to check fluids and rotate tires? I asked if the oil had been changed. No. Well why not? Well because you only get two changes and youre not due until 20k miles. Toyota doesnt specify when the two free Toyota care changes occur, just that it is only two. Ok, well I said I needed it done, and again, here is why. Then I get some nonsense that the tech did not see it necessary, so I ask to speak to him. He informs me it only needs to be changed at an earlier interval when the truck has been towing. I said that I very clearly explained that I had been towing, significantly. To which he told me that it is only when towing and off road use have occurred. This is false, but for sake of argument the truck had been both off road and towing, so I told him that. Then, and this is the kicker, he suggested to me that the manual states that the truck only needs the shortened interval when towing offroad in mud and big hills... At this point he was just making things up, and lying through his teeth, which is embarrassing for himself, and insulting to me. At this point I just suggested he take another look at the manual and think about what he was saying, and I left. I will take me business elsewhere, and have relayed to all my friends and coworkers to do the same. If youre going to lie to get out of scheduled maintenance that was scheduled over a week in advance, and waste my time and insult me, at least come up with a coherent story and lie. Go down to Hertrich in Milford, it is well worth the drive, if you dont want to be swindled for no good reason.

I was amazed at the service I recieved at CF Schwartz. I first inquired about a 2015 RAV4 online. The internet sales manager, Dustin Carey responded immediately and I met with him the very next day. I had a specific idea of what I needed to happen to be able to afford a new vehicle and keep my payment the same and Dustin and Mr. Lugo made that happen for me with a brand new 2016 RAV4 and I couldnt be happier with it. Even better my 3 year lease includes the Toyota care which covers maintenance for 2 years or 250000 miles! You cant beat it! I cant thank the team at CF Schwartz enough! Have referred several friends and family there already 😊
