I stopped going here for terrible service long ago, decided to come back because it’s the closest to home. The service seemed slightly better but still going to never shop here again, they have a special set of rules for their store only! It’s complete bull when you have to send someone to another store because “we don’t do that here...sorry.” It’s okay there are other amazing GameStop stores, this one happens not to be one of them.

Great customer service from the guy at the door and Duane.. But the cashier Tiffany made us wait more than 20 minutes to ring up our items while she restocked shelves. We were next in line but that seemed not to matter to her. The line was long outside for the wait due to Covid. Her service was unprofessional as she made me go back to the car to show my iD to use a coupon with my name on it. I recommend training in customer service.

Went there last week, HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. The lightskin woman who worked the register that day is the absolute worse!!! I asked for help looking for a game that wasn’t in stock there, oddly enough I found another game there that the website stated wasn’t in stock at that store.I asked her if she could look up of the game was at another store within driving distance, she told me “you can look that up online sir” I told her online isn’t accurate she kept repeating “it looks like you have a list of games, you can just look them up online” it’s as if she didn’t listen to anything I was saying, and she gave me the wrong game of the case I came to the counter with.Not the first bad experience with this location, but by far the worse

It was great, I was in and out in a matter of seconds and I was able to find a game that I was looking for it since yesterday. What is the saying that the only way to get inside is with a mask but thats how they have to do it or they will get shut down and given certain circumstances going on in the world I can understand, these are very concerning times

The new policy of 3 in the store is terrible, however its necessary. The staff were very friendly and upbeat, given the unfortunate circumstances they are in. Overall it was great once we got in, minus the feeling of being rushed to hurry up and buy because of the line of customers outside staring at you through the window hot af. Safety first, i guess.

Called ahead of time to ensure Id be able to get into the store, employees told me it was fine, plus the item I wanted was in stock. Told them Id be there in 20 mins perfect see you thenShow up literally 15 minutes later, and theyre closed but someones walking around. I wait until they open the door sorry were on lunch youll have to come back in half an hour, we cant help youI wish I could make up such terrible client service. How canyou tell someone youre open, and then close for lunch 15 minutes later.How can you not have enough people on staff so that the whole store doesnt shut down for someones break?

I went here to buy a used PS4 and it didnt work. When I went to return it, they said it might be me T.V. After that, they gave me a different used PS4 and that one was physically damaged when I took it out of the box. Sure enough, this one didnt work either. So, when I walked back in, a woman behind the counter immediately told me, very rudely, that its my T.V. and not the console. I just told them to let me trade it for in-store credit so I could go try somewhere else, and then she told me she couldnt do it because theyre about to close and she cant give me any money back. I didnt want money, I wanted in-store credit. Anyway, they told me to go to some other GameStop to trade it in. I go down to the GameStop in Taylor and they actually cared about my problem. They took the broken console, checked if it worked well (which they said it shouldnt have even been accepted for any trade there to begin with from the damages they noticed), got me another used PS4, took it out the box, handed it to me so I could inspect it right there, and even plugged it into a T.V. to see if it was working fine. With all of that done, they said it was good and if there were any problems just come back. That GameStop knew how to help a customer, This GameStop doesnt seem to truly care to help. I apologize for basically ranting over my experience here, but I cant think of much reason to come here unless its the only place you can possibly go to for buying games and gaming merchandise. Try any other place before here.

Every time I come here, Im disappointed. Whether its trading in something, and the value in store is different than the value shown online, or if its trying to pick up a game that shows its avaliable at this particular gamestop but you go there and its not available. Happened to me multiple times. Id highly advise against going here.

Dont even bother with this place. The gentlemen that i spoke to was very dismissive and not really knowledgeable about anything. I was willing to do business but apparently they didnt want my money given the poor customer service. After waiting for him to finish stocking the shelves and taking his sweet time looking for my game, i requested for a manager and he boldy claimed it was him....in complete disbelief I made a dash for the door and never looked back.

Was pretty good everytime, Asked to do a slightly stressful deed in which included him having to call another and gamestop and it took us like 30 minutes resolve the issue, and multiple customers came and went with no hold up with me and my issue. So they move pretty quick, and the guy helping was really nice, joked around to pass time when he was on hold with the gamestop, just all around good services.

Go to the other store in Westland or Hamtramck......They will never get money..My son money. My family money. My friends money.....NO WAY.... I bought a 3 month ps plus membership from them with a game and a pro membership they didn’t give me a ps plus card so i thought they sent it to my email later I threw the receipt Away. When i realized they didn’t send me an email for ps plus I called back up there to see what the problem was and the lady said “the code was on your Receipt i told her that the man never told me that i return She told me “oh well you have to buy a new one” they cheated me out my money 😤

Their selection is limited. A few weeks earlier, I thought it was time to get an Xbox 360 component cable. So I look to my closest Gamestop for one. I decide to go to their store to purchase said cord. Sadly they did not have one :(. A few weeks later, I call ahead to see if they had another in stock. They said yes, so I was excited to go buy it. I wait ONE DAY to go buy it because it was then Easter Sunday. I return to the store Monday morning only to discover that they dont have the item they told me they had in stock. I left the store disappointed.I thinks its time I take my gaming business elsewhere.

This place gets 1star because they never know anything! They told me far cry 4 doesnt have a complete edition a month ago. Then I call today to ask about mafia 3 midnight release and ultimate gears of war 4 he tells me theres no midnight release at all for any gamestop lol laughable there may not be a midnight release at your gamestop. But there is a midnight release its all over the website. Conclusion I will never buy or pre-order anything else from here. Hire employees that actually know something . Went to this location to try to get a power brick for an Xbox. The white guy there acted like he didnt like his job and was very snobby towards me. He said that they had power bricks but that I needed to know what type I needed. I told him I knew the one I needed and if he could show me some I can get the one I needed. He sighs goes to the back, brought out one. It wasnt the right one. I gave more info on the one I wanted and he sighs and goes back to find one. About 30 seconds later he comes out saying that they didnt have the one I needed. I distinctly got the impression that he didnt even look. Very snobby and not customer friendly. Ill go to the fairlane location from now on..Gamestop needs to fire him and get someone more suited to that job.
