I had high expectations and was left very disappointed by this place. I was excited to get some nice fresh meat but got home to find that that was the exact opposite of what I purchased. $40 wasted on 2 slabs of ribs. Upon opening the bag, my kitchen became engulfed with a putrid rotten egg smell. Knowing that some packaging can cause meat to smell funny (though theyre was nothing funny about this, now was the smell just a little off), I rinsed it thoroughly... twice. This pork was still very odoriferous. I could not possibly cook this and serve it to my family. Calling them was of no help so in the trash it went. Next time I make the trek to Gratiot Central, Ronnies will definitely be getting passed by.

Ive only been to this counter a few times but normally the service is mediocre. Today the cashier I had was so nice and informational. She provided me with recipe recommendations after I told her I was making a beef stew. Her recommendation actually turned out great! Thanks again Davina!

This is the best place for meat. Great selection, knowledgeable staff. We drive an hour each way for their meat. Smoke it, grill it, do it in the oven it doesnt matter they have the meat for whatever your trying to do.

Purchased delicious loins from them. After a mix up on the cut of my meat Tom was so helpful and when I was stressed. He fixed the problem. Good company!

Got a couple Delmonicos and T bones. Nothing special, meat was similar price and quality as an average grocery store. Grocery store doesnt have crowds cutting in line and better parking. Probably wont be back.

Rudest cashier ever however counter help was in point. Ive been here several times never encountered her hope not to again

Good place to go if you want premium cuts that you cant get such as lamb chops or prime rib from regular grocery stores, especially if you need it in large quantities.

Although I had to wait in line to get due to the Covid-19 pandemic, things moved along nicely and I was in and out in about 20 minutes. Ronnies my first choice for shish kabobs! The kabobs are well proportioned, well seasoned, and they come in beef, chicken, and lamb options. This is a summertime staple. You wont be disappointed!

We were at Eastern Market today and walked all along the market looking for quality meat. Let me tell you, look NO FURTHER than Ronnie’s Meats. The customer service is spectacular! The meat selection is OUTSTANDING!!! Not only did I get great and helpful tips on what to buy, but also received amazing cooking suggestions. I purchased the most delicious cuts of meats I have ever seen at AMAZING prices!!!! Family owned business for over 50 years!!!

Unbelievable selection of quality meats. By far the best in the Eastern Market. Their house made bbq rub is one of the best I’ve ever used. Great service and friendly employees to top it off.

I called to find out about cost & amt needed of whole tenderloin for my Christmas party. The person answering the phone said he was the owner. I asked about how much I would need for apx 20 people. I also wanted to know how much is usually expected for each person to be served, ounces wise. He spoke to me as if I was stupid! saying things like: I already told you what a single tenderloin was, & how am I supposed to know how much your people are going to eat. I continued to state that I needed to know how many whole tenderloins I should get, & how much is usually expected per person ( i.e.: 8 oz or up to 12 oz?) He then asks if he could ask me a personal question. I said sure. I couldnt believe my ears at what he said: ARE YOU HAVING A BAD DAY, IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE GOING ON WITH YOU TODAY?when I questioned him about why is he having trouble giving my the info I needed, my husband spoke up in the background & tried to reiterate what I wanted to know, this owner then says, OH, SO NOW THE WHOLE FAMILY IS GOING TO ARGUE I then told him I was not going to buy anything from him, to which he retorted, SO, IM GONNA LOSE A ONCE A YEAR CUSTOMERI couldnt believe all this from the OWNER!!!!I then called RJ meats, & spoke to Tez who was so polite & helpful. I was able to know right away what I needed & how much money I would have to have! RJ IS WHERE MY $$$ IS GOING!
