This is literally one of my best TV show, seeing Seth, and Ashley fighting all the time is kinda cool. And Mr les is one of the most polite human being on this planet today and I love the fact that you stand up for your employees and always make sure they are alright. Came all the way from Florida to meet the gang. Only Les was there but he was pleasant and took a picture with us. The area around the shop is not good but I felt safe while visiting the shop.Went back again and only Les was there again. Les is so humble and took another picture with the kids. The prices for gold is extremely high. I paid for a gold piece that was a particular price and saw that same piece at Michigan cash for Gold for half the price right across the street. Not to mention they will steal from you if you get a loan on something. As soon as you get it back you have to make sure you have everything go at your own risk ⚠️ 👎🏼

I brought a Pokémon card collection in. All psa worthy or professional grading worthy, wotc base set fossil and jungle complete sets and over 200 shadowless and over 200 1st editions, over 200 holo and psa 8 9 or 10 and each card worth $200-$1000+,And flawless condition.I had 1% of my collection which was on eBay with 1 day left and had at 7k bids. I started it at .99 cents.Seth didn’t even look at it or he would of realized his dad would of been proud to actually try and make a deal . In Seth defense they are not graded but still if I have 1% of my colllection on eBay for 7k and started with .99 cents you think he would be interested!!Seth didn’t even look at them. 17 base set flawless charizards . I wanted Detroit to brokerage one of the biggest collection of collectible Pokémon cards but he didn’t even bother. I asked for les but he wants to their. If I’m showing you 99% of the 1% of my collection that has bids about 7 k u think he would be interested in the other part of my collection lol no worries

ATTENTION!!!!! please read. If I were you I would not pawned my stuff inside of this shop they will steal from you they are very sneaky! My boyfriend have pawned it a Nintendo switch with a pink and green remote but when it was returned to him it was returned with a red and green remote they stole the pink remote to try to gain more profit! disgusting! Do not trust them make sure you make a copy of anything if you do and also take the correct pictures before and after! heed this warning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anytime Im in Detroit, I make sure to stop by American Jewelry & Loan. They have a very nice store with ample free parking. Ive found a ton of great deals anytime Ive gone in. I typically get power tools and theyre consistently more than 50% off retail and in great condition. Ive never seen any antics go down in the store. Everyone (employees and customers) are incredibly respectful of each other which makes this an enjoyable place to visit. Every time I go in, I see Les or Seth. Its nice to know that theyre normal people who really do operate the family business. I would definitely recommend stopping by if youre in the area!

We are watching every nite with a very big pleasure. İndeed its very nice tv show but behind of the show we are watching a good family. 1000 teacher can not teach as much as a father. Seth and Ash are educated and good persons and we appreciate the Les about it. We love Les so much, he has very strong experience in every way and despite he is oldest he has the best vision and we are admirer for his solution methods in every problem. So many times he looks so serious but Im actually he is so funny and he has a soft heart. You are such as someone from the family and we are sending loves from Turkey.

I Went to Joeys Pawn ( John R and 8 mile)and I found out American Jewelry took ownership over it. Ive never had a problem with Joeys. Well I went to pay on my pawn but then decided to get it out. I had diamond earrings and a diamond ring.. The ring was special it was a ART DECO Princess cut with Trillions... Well when the counter person gave me the earrings and then made a little show when presenting ... HERES YOUR NECKLACE, and holds up a long Silver tone necklace... I said I Dont have a necklace ..i have a ring.. He then told me .. Yes, it is mine. No its not. They look for it for an half and hour, Manager tells me its LOST .. More like STOLEN!! from an employee. Ring cant be replaced ! It was about a 100 years old .. DONT TRUST THIS PLACE OR THEM !!!

My girl friend wanted to check the store out since she had seen it on tv so we made the trip there since I was in town anyway for a wedding. Everyone working there was really nice and helpful. I asked the lady working if she had any good deals on autographed jerseys. She said she can make a good deal happen. They had this team Russia jersey with Larionov Federov and Kozlov on it. They had the impression it was Datsyuk because of the number 13. Easy mistake but Im way happier with Kozlov since I have 3 of the Russian 5 on there.

American Jewelry will not waived late fee and is closed on Sunday and Holiday. They should not put dates for Sunday and Holiday on the pawn slip. And charge to much for the late fee. They dont answer the phone at this location & thats enough for me to distrust them as a business. People have pawn due dates coming up & would like to know what is going to happen to our valuables during this shutdown. I called several times! Had to reach out to a different location & they ALSO had no answers. I hope they dont use this pandemic as a way to snatch peoples property from them. At least send out an email to let us know something!!! Once this shutdown is over, Im gonna get my stuff out of there.

I negotiated one price with an associate and and when I returned with money a manager stepped in started looking up the prices on ebay and said he wouldnt honor the deal and wanted more money. I had bought dozens of tools there and after this I wont go back. Ill find another pawn shop to buy and sell stuff to. The one on John R at 696 has good prices.

I had the opportunity to work with Joe the jeweler to find myself a new gold chain. He was beyond helpful during the process all while being friendly, enthusiastic, and all around passionate about his job. Had the opportunity to negotiate with the store manager for the end process. Got to meet Seth and Les, which are both cool as hell! I will 100% be back here and recommend this place to everyone!

Very rude staff I’ll called looking for autographs and was hung up on once I asked a guy for a small list of a few things he might have in store then I called back and spoke to a manager and asked her for a small list and told her that one of her staff members was being rude and she refuse to give me a list saying you just gonna have to come in the store I’m not helping you than I said could I please get a list & she raised her voice saying you just gonna have to come in

Never been to the store wish I had a chance when I lived in Michigan but kinda wish the show was still on I have the same exact thing that happens at your store people don’t realize that that is actual reality.

Went on a family vacation to Michigan from Oregon on the way back to the airport my kids wanted to stop in. I am so glad we stopped Les and Seth are awesome!! The whole staff was so nice to us and they took pictures with us, I was reading the reviews and they said the people where rude, that is not true the whole staff was great to my family and I. If you are in the area I would stop in cause if you don’t you will be sorry it was way better then Pawn Stars!!!

Worth stopping in for a visit

I’m not from Detroit and I never visited the shop but I’m a huge fan of the show and even though some of it was scripted, this was a million dollar tv show . 💯💯

BEWARE OF THIS PAWN SHOP... I let my ex boyfriend pawn my jewelry & he gave me the pawn ticket. I have been paying on it each month & decided to get it out last month, but they telling me since my name isnt on it, they cant release it to me... They have been letting me pay the interest & i have the slip SO WHY NOT???? This place is ridiculous & need to be SHUT DOWN

Came in after A Tigers game just for something to do since we were 🚗 by. Les was great . My son wanted A picture with him and with no hesitation he posed with my son and started small talk. We bought A hoodie and after many times in the washer it still fits like the day we bought it. Thanks
