Ive had good and bad experiences here. One time I just wanted my check engine light scanned and an employee scratched my cars door while unlocking it. Ive seen staff interacting in a not totally appropriate way as well with customers around. They always have helped me though

WORST AUTO ZONE EVER!! the guy Shan Moore is extremely rude. I heard him say he doesn’t speak Mexican you have to speak English. I’ve talked to other people that work there and also said he tells customers to get out of the store if he doesn’t like them.

Stopped in here to have a check engine light looked at. Was advised that I had to complete the check due to covid safety measures.Upon entering back in, this store manager shawn made sure to command “go to him” and “you have to stand on that mud rug” assertively. As if I wasn’t standing behind the safety glass. Followed by “you can leave the store.” I didn’t feel very warm and welcome here.I usually go to this store and have been noticing negative vibes as of recent. It makes more sense now knowing who the store manager is.Went to advance auto parts around corner. They were helpful, quick and to the point minus the attitude.

This is long overdue but Nikki was soo wonderful when I came in I had to leave a comment. I was in the store in February and Nikki was beyond knowledgeable, friendly and took the time to help . She deserves her own store! I drive out of my way now to visit this store for all my car needs because of her.

I ordered a part they didn’t have at at store they have to ordered it from other storeThey told me the part will arrive at 4:30After one hours waiting still the part 20 mints lateAnd 20 plus 20 plus 20 and time now 7:07 and the part not here yet.... manager don’t know where is the part and he doesn’t have the delivery guy numberAnd they don’t know what to doIdk why he is a manager ?!!!!!!! Wow! This place is so awesome! It was my first time going for myself since I am a new car owner. Chris and Nerky were so super helpful and patient with me as I asked questions. This store is 1 of the better ones i have been in. employees friendly. today a few items were out of stock. i prefer auto zone vrs a couple others nearby. only thing oil is a little pricey. whis they had more tool selection.

The young man came out and changed my headlight bulbs that I purchased and wouldnt take a tip. He didnt mind helping at all. Thank you so much for the wonderful and easy experience at the Des Plaines, IL location on Oakton Street

Waking up to car problems on the first Saturday in January wasn’t the greatest start to the New Year, but I’m glad I called Auto Zone of Des Plaines. After “jumping” one of our vehicles to get it running, I took it over for a quick diagnostics test. Christian, the technician, examined badly-corroded battery cables and ran a test on the battery to assess whatever juice it still had left in it. Knowing the existing battery had a five-year warranty but that I had gotten seven years out of it, including two of them being “polar vortex” years, I was more than agreeable to a new one. Christian braved the cold that morning and quickly did a replacement for me. The store was starting to get busy, but he was capable and thorough in his work for us. I’m very pleased with the store and staff!

Avoid this location. Workers were not wearing mask. Workers were eating cake behind the desk. Workers did not greet when they made eye contact. And when asked about an item availability they said they don’t know and for me to look for it.

Dont go here for testing Car battery. I asked them to charge the dead battery but they didn’t and told me the battery was bad and needed replacement. Took it to advance auto parts and they charged it for me and it works fine.They are just trying to sell you their batteries

Batt light came on so I asked them to check it - and found out it was alternator issue. Fernando was very helpful - getting my battery fully charged - for free and sending me on my way home safely after 50 more miles. Im very grateful for the service. Im giving them a five star for stellar customer service.

Friendly, professional service. I came in when my car wouldnt start and they were very friendly with helping me figure out what happened. Then even offered to help switch out the battery for me when I had to get a new one

I was treated rudely by the manager last night when I asked if I could get help installing a new headlight bulb. He tells me not unless you buy the grease, too, and not if its too difficult to do. I agreed, and he told me to go outside and pop the hood. I did, and waited nearly 10 minutes, during which there were more employees on the clock than people in the store. I believe the managers name was Shaun.Store employee Gustavo comes out to help me, and he was courteous, patient and extremely helpful. If this review was for Gustavo, he gets 5 stars. He had a little bit of a tough time, but he persevered and was able to replace both for me.Since it was taking a little longer than expected, another employee came out when he was almost done and said Shaun says if you cant do it, you cant do it and come back in. Gustavo knew that customer service was more important, and made sure both bulbs were secure and working before he left me.AutoZone corporate: Gustavo needs to be commended for his customer service, but your manager makes me never want to return to that store.

I always get good service at Autozone, and today was no different. But something that was new and even better was the assistance I received, out of the blue, when the store assistant asked if I need help installing the headlight lamps I had just purchased. It so happened that I did need assistance, and the guy helped me with a smile. Together we also figured out why my cars high beams do not work properly and afterwards, the assistant also performed a price check on parts that I need for further repairs in the future. Service with a smile; thats what brings me back!

Staff was very helpful and knowledgeable about my car problem I was having. Offered multiple solutions to what it might be. Highly recommend this eurozone. Store manager has done a great job hiring a good staff to accommodate the store high volume of traffic.

Raining, still went out to check battery, which needed replaced. Tools available, replaced battery on the spot....

The employee was rude and looked as if he was impatient to leave, constantly smashing the mouse in a display of obvious discontent when we never addressed him in any rude manner. This happened at 1pm March 15th 2020.

Rude and uneducated sales associate who are more concerned with upselling you than basic part knowledge. Managers will do anything they can to weasel their way out of a warranty or a return including telling you that theyre safe is out of cash and you have to go to another store.
