I just cant say enough about Faythe, Sarah and their team. They spent countless hours working to tailor and in some aspects, redesign my wedding dress as it needed quite a bit of tailoring. They were assuring, patient and kind throughout the process and in the end, my dress was perfect and I felt wonderful in it. I also purchased several of my wedding accessories there as well.

Faith is amazing!! She was able to create the wedding dress of my dreams from my mother’s dress. She was easy to work with and does incredible work. I love that I was able to wear a dress from the 80s and have it be everything I wanted.

I love the offerings for men at Dornink! Earlier this summer I picked up a pair of shorts that fit great. I went back for a suit, and the tailoring makes it the best suit I own. Since then, have gone back several times, most recently for a sale where i ended up getting great deals on a new flannel, a denim styled work shirt, and a great fitting pair of khakis. Cant say it enough that the clothes here fit great, and the tailoring is amazing!

Took a friend to find a suit and loved their selection. Typically a store for the ladies, the men have a good selection of reasonably priced, good-looking suits that include alterations. Since we were flying out the next day, there was some concern that they could alter so quickly, but they did it with time to spare! Super friendly sales girl who knew the product well.

There was a large variety of upscale costume jewelry. Very helpful salesperson. Pleasant experience.She even texted a picture of another necklace I am considering.

I ordered a custom size brides maids dress from Azazie. When it arrived the measurements were all off. I came in and met with Faythe. Shes a miracle worker!!! I was so worried Id have to order a new dress, but she knew exactly what to do to fix the fit and did so in a timely fashion. I recommend her 1000%. Plus, the store is great. Lots of original things. A little pricey, but very worth it.

My family and I have been using Dornink for several years now. (My mother, father, siblings and daughters)I was originally sent there by one of my favorite boutique clothing stores in town to have a dress altered. I have worked with both Faythe and Sarah, had custom dresses made for all four of my daughters for a wedding, purchased ready made clothes that they carry, and have had more alterations done there than I can count (including some botched jobs that needed to be fixed from another shop). I have yet to be disappointed...They are professional, honest and timely and I highly recommend them.

I have bought two tailored suits from Dorninks and am impressed with their quality, as well as the professional service during the initial selection, fitting, and delivery. A man cannot find a less expensive fine suit ... perhaps anywhere. If I were to offer a complaint, it would be at the limited space the shop provides their selection.

Dornick is by far the best place for alterations and custom design, not just in Des Moines, but in the Midwest region! Ive lived in major metropolitan markets in the Midwest and I have never found a better place for alterations. I love their attention to detail and their ability to make recommendations and changes based on my body type. Ive worked closely with Sarah on designing my own dresses and just love that I have original dresses that no one else has! They also have ready-to-wear clothes for both men and women that are original and affordable. If you need alterations, custom design for a wedding or special event or want some inexpensive jewelry or clothes - GO TO DORNINK! They are the best gig in town!

I had a terrible experience. I ordered 7 bridesmaids dresses; all to be custom made, and a month before the wedding the dresses were finally done and were way too small for everyone. It was a disaster. We also were charged a fee to alter the dresses so that they would fit everyone. I decided to give a second chance, and went to have my mothers dress done. Faythe is TERRIBLE at what she does, and she has HORRIBLE customer service. Never again will we use them, and we recommend that anyone RUN not walk away from these too. Our wedding would have been a disaster if not for another tailor in town saving us and fixing the dresses.
