Clean environment, the staff was friendly and very informative. I went on a weekend, and the exhibit I desired to see was free! The building is wholely eccentric, the bathrooms are clean. The exhibit took about 45 mins, and had a lot to offer. I highly recommend! If you travel by bus, coming from the west, the bus stop is a good two blocks away. Heading east towards home, the bus stop is right in front of the museum. I plan on visiting again very soon!

Beautiful with a good variety of art. it seems really big but we moved through pretty fast. knocked a star because personally i like art 1900 and older, and a lot of the art here was newer (like 1980s on)the native american and asian exhibits were wonderful, i wish there was an african exhibit though! and it was a pleasant surprise to see a few Monets :)

The actual entrance to the museum was quite difficult to find as the original entrance was barricaded and the signs were misleading. Went there in July 2021 and there were 4 or 5 exhibitions at the time and access to some of the floors was prohibited. The collections were fine although I was expecting the museum to be a bit bigger. Theres a storytelling studio on the first level which could be a fun activity for kids. The architecture of the building from the outside is impressive and the downtown location is also quite convenient.

Alot of the museum was closed due to remodeling. What I got to see was great .It was all very exciting to see up close in person. All museums display a identity of its personality per museums. We went to metropolitan museum in NY CITY AT CENTRAL PARK 3 TIMES FOR BIBLE TOURS and one of Jehovahs witnesses was the tour guide 😀. You can go online to book it through Oasis groups tour. It is 3 hours long. If you take a tour in the morning, after the tour you have time to tour the rest of the museum ✨😉😊💕😀😄.

Really loved the focus on American and Indigenous art and artists. Really amazing collection in those genres that is balanced well with art from other parts of the world and time periods. Really impressed. Have to say I was shocked to see such high class for this museum, it was unexpected. Was not expecting such prominence of really world-renowned artist (Monet, Degas, Van Gogh, Cezanne…). Really spectacular exhibits. I was blown away by the pink universe exhibit and the Paris to Hollywood exhibit featuring Veronique Peck’s fashion was stunning, for me particularly as a fashion lover. The 19th century European art was amazing as well. For pandemic times, this museum did really well and I see no problem with paying full price to see a limited portion, I am not at all upset about paying to see this amazing selection of art for a mere $13. Staff was awesome. I did have a few questions and comments throughout the exhibit and every employee had something to share; I could really tell they knew what they were talking about. The gift shop had a great selection as well. Can’t wait to return when the museum is entirely reopened.

There is no any signs of direction since DAM building is under renovation.Second, for the full ticket price you will see two tiny exhibitions 🤦🏻‍♀️ It took me less then an hour to be there including the gift shop. There is no clear information on the website about how limited the art works now. How do you rate a Museum? You only go to museum to see what it is you wanted to see. Its upon entering the museum that you discover the magic that happens within and its all those things that you did not expect to come into your range of view and thats when you realize the museum isnt just there because you want to see a piece of art. The museum is there for you to go on an escape just like a walkthrough book. I really liked the Denver Museum had a great time and I will go back again.

Checked out the Denver Art Museum. First off, I love the area around this. Very walkable and right near the beautiful capital building. I’m giving the museum 3 stars not because it wasn’t beautiful but because they’re going through renovations and have many of the exhibits shut down right now so we couldn’t get the full experience of the museum but it was still a great experience. It looks like the renovations and updates are planned to be finished by 2022 some time and they’re phasing a reopening of other exhibits as they get completed. Although I’m not local to Denver it was still a good experience and I’d absolutely recommend it when construction is done!

Going to the Denver art Museum has changed how I look at art forever. I now have a real appreciation for art. It is fascinating how much detail goes into some if the older paintings. Nothing a digital photo can ever capture. Every single detail is focused on as if you were actually there looking with your own eyes. I highly recommend going especially for the Berger collection. If you appreciate beauty in the world this will be life changing. (Even if you think art is boring-this collection is awe inspiring)

Visitor beware! As of September 2021, the bulk of the museum is closed. Theres a single gallery & 2 room-sized pieces on display. That this gallery focuses on 19th century Europe, with second tier paintings from the usual crowd (Monet, Degas, Renoir, etc) that you can see in any art museum in the world, rather than highlighting a selection of the indigenous and western American art that (allegedly) set this museum apart is baffling and frustrating.DAM demonstrates very poor curatorial judgment.
