Strange company. They try to veil a “partnership” under a long talk with a manager and slip in the “ you only need to invest 7xxx dollars to join our team” . Last I checked you need a builder to construct steel buildings, there’s plenty of metal building suppliers out there. I HATE these sales pitches, if you’re trying to sell someone then be upfront about it. Our company has an established brand and reputation in the area. I don’t need another website or a salesman or whatever else. Their approach to “building a professional relationship” is lacking.Edit:I am a licensed General Contractor in the state of Kansas. I am not the only builder who sees through your sales pitch. It is true you require a contractor to pay over $7000 to join your network. For what reason is beyond not just me, but several other people you contacted.I highly doubt three times in a miscommunication with three completely separate people. Using some gimmicky pitch to entice someone into believing they need you to build is highly unauthentic. The reality is the trades are in high demand and in short supply of quality builders, so you in fact are in need of us. Its comical that your company believes it is the other way around. I suggest you work on your sales pitch before you try to tag onto the hard working backs of blue collar companies internationally. Best of luck to you.

Im a contractor that was contacted by Federal Steel. They gave me a great sales pitch, but never backed up the pitch with any factual numbers, just blind estimates. Charged me around $40 to get their information packet with the understanding that Id get the money back if the deal didnt work out. Upon declining the deal, they tried to tell me it wasnt refundable unless I paid to ship the packet back. They charge contractors a $7850 fee to become an authorized builder with the promise of a website and marketing campaign that would be, in my opinion, lackluster at best judging by the state of their website. They also do not own any manufacturing plants and I speculate that they dont hire their own engineers either. They sound like theyre strictly brokers and salesmen. This is certainly not industry standard and should never be. I refuse to support a business thats run this way and I hope any prospective buyer or contractor will too.

Sales team looking for builders desperately, misleading 1st tier sales rep Looking for Turn key General contractors followed by managers cutting in conversation once I started requesting how they were marketing to local area before Builders invested capital. They also requested me to pay for marketing materials sent, But also stated I wouldnt be a Local sales rep. Confused on why I need to pay 7,800$ for marketing material then?

We couldnt be more pleased with our building. Our business is located in Rockport TX, where the eye of hurricane Harvey made landfall on 8-25-17. Reported winds of 140+ mph. We had evacuated and hoped for the best. On Friday evening while the hurricane raged ashore, we had an alarm go off at our building and we were sure it was BAD. When we arrived back to Rockport, over 40% of all structures were uninhabitable, destroyed, as we approached our street and made the turn down our block.....there our building stood, just like we left it. Federal Steel Systems buildings are strong...hurricane strong! If you are considering a metal structure, look no further, these guys are the real deal!
