I just moved into a apartment in this area. I’m a black man and I’ve been blatantly profiled and followed numerous times now. The first time I said something one of them accused me of being sensitive. Than again last night the Indian guy literally left his register (with multiple white people in line) to look me up and down for whatever he thought I was stealing otw out. I won’t be back. Not to mention yes they are extremely over priced.

DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY. Totally overpriced and you can’t return because “it’s the law of the store” even having just bought something 5 minutes prior. Don’t waste your money it’s worth it to go somewhere else or even have it delivered for MUCH less.

If you havent received a hug from Elsa....youre missing out! I love the staff - they may not know what to recommend but its the smiles and warmth that keeps me coming back. I have to agree with other reviewers that the prices are not marked on 50% of the products. AND they are overpriced, however, they have a prime location. So, theyre able to charge more. Mr Bs off of 21st and Market is top notch if youre willing to walk a couple of blocks.

Great selection of craft beers, wines, and liquor—better selection than you’d expect for a tony shop. The prices are fair; cheaper than other liquor stores downtown and definitely not overpriced! Been giving them business for almost a year.

Not a big fan at all, but its close. I usually make the drive to Mollys, but sometimes Im not feeling that. The problem Ive had there is that sometimes the inventory isnt even labeled. I inquired about a few different prices and the guy had no idea. Nice people, poorly run business in terms of customer service. I could imagine they do well given the area and local clientele.

Convenient and decently priced for the area. You never feel ripped off, more just a OH! Well I guess ill pay 2$-3$ more than usual for the convenience. Be careful parking around there though, parking enforcement has been more aggressive as of late.

I had an old 1970s five dollar bill. I was buying some drinks and a snack. And as I went to pay, the lady automatically took it and said it was fake. I showed her it was real and she still was denying it. She said she would call the cops and report fake money. When she said that. I was fine with it. I knew it wasnt fake. I told her, go ahead and call the cops. I know my money isnt fake. As I said that. She put the money in the cash register and a man kicked me out and kept my money. I tried to get it back. But her refused to give it back. Moral of the story is that she took my money claiming it was fake. I recommend that you never shop here again.

This place is consistently bad. Prices never listed on alcohol. There’s always a $2-3 markup and you don’t know until you are at the register. Receipts are never given. After reading another review, I’m not the only person charged twice for the same transaction. The staff are nice, but it’s a standard product that can be purchased anywhere else for cheaper. Buy your beer at Kings Soopers across the street.

A totally neighborhood store with personal service! If you want something they don’t have and you live in the neighborhood, they’ll order and stock it for you...who does that??? A family run place with friendly smiles always remembers who you are and asks me where I’vebeen if it’s been too long. The perfect last minute game day beer buying local or middle-of-a-snow-storm emergency Bourbon run. But honestly this is a great every day buying option too. Their prices are competitive. A pretty good selection on beer and spirits. The wines could be better but the smiles and friendly neighborhood feel make up for all that lacks!

This is one of the most expensive basic liquor stores in Denver. Their selection of beer and wine is not great, but its also not a big liquor store. Liquor selection is fine. The location is incredibly convenient for me, so I end up going anyway. About half of my visits involve me watching the workers either yell at or just be generally rude to customers.

Now that King Soopers has opened across the street, Skye Liquors has stopped selling snacks and other small food items to focus on alcoholic beverages. They have expanded their wine and liquor selection greatly, and sell beer from quite a few local breweries. Very popular spot for the growing number of young professionals living in the area. Prices arent as low as liquor stores slightly outside the downtown area, but I dont feel like Im being ripped off either. Overall a good place to grab a pack of beer, or bottle of wine/liquor.

Absolutely the worst prices in Denver. With a city high in living expenses already, this shop is more than just taking advantage. Dont go here and hopefully free market does its job .

Literally just tried to sell me an open package with a 9V battery - only one, not two (how the package of batteries normally comes) for SEVEN DOLLARS. My smoke alarm wont stop beeping and I needed a quick fix. Decided to rip the smoke alarm out of the wall instead of giving in to this ludicrous behavior. Two days ago they tried to sell me a jug of cranberry juice for $6 instead of $5 - which is the price tag that was on the bottle. I had to call them out on it and they were like, Oh, i guess we marked it wrong. You definitely need to be careful if you are shopping at this place.

This store charges a different amount than advertised. Sure, it was only $1 more, but when I nicely told the cashier that he mistyped, he and his manager refused to honor the marked price. I think this place is no stranger to padding their pockets with the customer being none the wiser 99% of the time. Out of principle, I left all my items on the counter and will not sop here again. These people are scammers. If you live nearby, watch what they type in! They dont ring it in...they type it in. They are clearly doing this ALL the time based on other reviews here too!

I came across reviews a few months ago about them over charging customers. I went to buy a 6 pack of beer with a 6.99 sticker posted. I got rang up at 9.41. I asked the cashier if the beer was 6.99 and he said no it was 8.99 even eith the sticker. So I paid and left. I went the next day and bought the same 6 pack and was rang up at 8.25. I told the guy I was over charged the day before and pointed to the guy who overcharged me and they kinda giggled. Its only 2 dollars but Ive been going there for 3 years so who knows how many times they did that.
