This place is exactly how a locally-owned neighborhood liquor store should be! The owners are wonderful, friendly, and incredibly quick. They even head to the back to get you a cold 12/24 pack if youre buying beer. They have a great craft beer and wine selection along with shooters, bottles of liquor, and domestics. Forgot to grab champagne for brunch? No worries, theyve got you covered.

Hes on the expensive side and hes not afraid to show his racist side. Ex. Ill walk in and hes conversing with a white customer, smiling and pleased. Im next, I say hello and he is always short. Hi, he says. I may ask are you growing your peppers this season? No. He says. He and I have never had any type of issue as he does know who I am and I cant get any type of feedback from him.Ive asked about a bottle of wine. I dont drink. He says. Her didnt even say something to the effect, my customers like this one out that one. He at least now after some years say hello now. There are many other colored people feel the same way from their experience in his establishment. 17 the street liquor is not even a half block from me however I go to Johns liquor on Colfax between High and Williams because the employees there are pretty much happy to see you and get you with a warm welcome.

Love being able to walk here and pick up a cold 6 pack. They have a really big selection for how small the shop is.

Best liquor store I have ever been too! It is small, but has a much better craft beer selection than most other liquor stores. The owner of the shop is very knowledgeable and wildly helpful when it comes to getting suggestions of what alcohol to get. I typically hate going to liquor stores since so many of them have a sketchy/creepy vibe, but this one is utterly charming (especially in comparison to some).

Pound for pound the best liquor store in Denver. This place is tiny but the selection is still amazing somehow. Coldest beer in town with the warmest owners you could ever find, so kind and helpful. Highly recommend!

Much more than you would expect from such a tiny, local store. A ton of wine and beer selections. Slightly higher priced than your huge-volume distributors, but not expensive either. A fabulous family runs the place and makes you feel right at home with each visit. A great stop to get what you need.
