Relaxing place to get your OM on! This little sanctuary on Pearl Street is one of my favorite places to visit to meditate and refocus.Known for having the largest selection of meditation cushions in Colorado, the staff makes it easy to choose the right pillow for your personal and meditation practice needs. The employees will sit with you, and help you find the perfect cushion fit. It takes time to explain the differences between each pillow and how to sit properly while covering your personal needs. The staff is extremely helpful in assisting you to find that perfect fit that supports your spine and practice pose. There are several rooms for meditating, either on your own or in a large room with others. My favorites have been the smaller meditation room that allow you to focus on lit candles or a water feature. The quiet atmosphere of the sanctuary has really allowed me to deepen my meditation practice.Often Im at Mayu for the relaxing foot baths, when I just want to unplug from the world. With natural herbs such as lavender, rosemary and salts, one can make the perfect foot bath, while listening to meditations from the Sanctuarys iPods or quietly meditate while sipping delicious teas.I have also attended several of the meditation classes, workshops and events that have been very inspiring, while deepening my understanding of my personal meditation practice and journey. Over the years, I have taken many friends here and they all love their time here. Mayu is really an experience not to miss out on!

This is the place where I learned to meditate! The staff is very kind and friendly. Feel free to ask them questions about how to meditate as I did when I was a beginner. You don’t have to be experienced at meditating to come in and try it. It’s been very beneficial to me in such a deep way. They have a brand new outdoor meditation garden with waterfalls and plants and areas to spread out and meditate. They also have inside meditation areas with comfy mats to sit on or lay down. It’s a beautiful place!

A true-hearted sanctuary in the heart of the city (Southside).I bought a meditation cushion here a year ago and this investment changed my life. Plus I get to visit to fill it or empty it based on my rumps preference.Footbaths are heavenly here, too!Say hi to Sierra for me... From Bass-A-Frass

Mayu Sanctuary is a marvelous resource for much more than meditation. Ive learned a lot about myself and health and harmony. As a novice at meditation, I am learning about that as well. But thats just the beginning. Im more connected to my community. Best of all, Ive noticed that taking time out to meditate has made me more effective in my studies and other activities. Taking the time creates more time - how cool is that? And who doesnt love a foot bath? Enjoy, In Joy!!!

I went in for my first meditation cushion yesterday, and they so patiently explained different types and gave me time to try out lots until I found the perfect one. Going inside is like entering a whole other world of peace and calm. Loved it!

Mayu is a phenomenal resource for meditation practitioners of all types and levels. The atmosphere provides an oasis in the city, the staff is adept at providing just the right level of support, and the community of practitioners is diverse and welcoming. They offer classes, community and drop-in sitting and foot baths, as well as a strong variety of meditation supplies for purchase. Being a member of this co-op as greatly enhanced my meditation practice.

A beautiful, quiet meditation space; classes for different tastes; and personalized help with cushions and other meditation supplies. Mayu is my meditation home-away-from-home.

My husband brought me for Mother’s Day. I like to meditate at home but I am certainly no expert. That turned out to be fine, as the Mayu sanctuary offered a guided mediatation menu that was SO EASY AND SO MUCH FUN to navigate. Once I picked the program I wanted, I popped my feet into some hot water (foot soak is also an option), put on my headphones and went into a deep sleep/trance that relaxed me so much I didn’t want to leave! I couldnt recommend this more, esp. for anyone that wants to try meditation but is intimidated and/or hesitant. We ended up staying until closing, couldn’t have been a better “date-day”!!!
