The community this place is building is going to be second to none after we get a few more things in the pandemic handled they they are super friendly super nice theyve got lots of knowledgeable folks who treat you well and take care of the shop as well as help you do things like put together a deck or build an army or or. My one complaint is just general they only have about two staff on hand at any given time. And with his busy as they get it is often that you have to wait in line to talk to a staff member if you need help

This is a great LGS! They do organized play events that run smoothly and are always fun. You can preorder boxes, and they have tons of singles to buy from. Just be careful expressing your opinions around them, as the staff here are the most discerning MTG connoisseurs that ever walked the earth and they will tell you exactly what they think. Just know ahead of time that you are wrong and your opinions are wrong ;)

Giving this place a 3 star for now until I can visit a few more times and get a better feel. Didnt get a welcoming feel when I walked in even after trying to chat with one of the employees on shift. For a game shop it feels very limited on their selection as well but this can be due to the shop being a bit on the smaller side though I have seen other small shops with a wider selection. Not a fan of a sign I saw in their window prohibiting outside food and drink forcing people to purchase their consumables at the store either though I didnt see what selection they had.Lastly I looked at their line up of dungeons and dragons books and they seemed to have been marked up slightly. The book itself labels what the suggested retail price is and the price of the book was marked up by about $10 over that price. Im unsure if its just for the book itself or if other items were marked up but I wont be spending much money at this location if at all if I can find cheaper alternatives online. Ill be going back to the store a few times in the coming months if I can and my view may change, if so ill update this review to reflect that.

Sold to DCG in large portion on their commander Monday. Despite a staffing error causing them to be very busy, staff was funny and friendly and the community livened up the shop. I will be recommending this location at my work for both shopping and playing for sure. If I ever get back into cardboard this will be the place I go. Thanks!

Unless every card you plan on selling to them is rare or covered in chicken grease dont bother coming here. Guy said to show up and give atleast 20 minutes to check cards and then just flips through them with his greasy little paws before deciding that he doesnt want any of them even though he said they buy them. If you tell someone that you buy the cards you should probably buy the cards. To all the nerds out there that go to the store get out of your moms basement and step into reality. This place doesnt care about you. By the looks of it the only thing they care about is dying of a heart attack at 38

Its dirty, miserable staff that seem to hate human interaction, aged store and just have cheap fold up tables to sit and play with sloppy unorganized product still sitting in its shipping boxes all over the place lol Its such an unprofessional place Im really surprised by the overall rating it has.Staff is very pretentious and not welcoming AT ALL. Horrible vibes with even more horrible prices. Not a good place to go compared to higher quality places with cheaper prices. I came into buy some commander precons and boosters and left feeling like I just got ripped off and like I dont wanna be apart of this community if these people are the representation. Its our job to hold these lazy an over priced LGSs to a higher standard. Why would we want to come support our local LGS when they dont even try and especially dont make you feel comfortable and welcomed... please do better its just unacceptable.

The employees are pretty cool laid back guys. Mitch and Cody are typically the ones I interact and see the most there, and are pretty amazing dudes. Both are incredibly knowledgeable and are always up to helping make a new deck with various card knowledge, even so far as to asking a budget and being able to recommend great cards to fit that. Though I dont see him as often, Phil is a great guy as well. Hes pretty awesome and has a great store in my opinion.I cant say enough good things about the people here. Theyve been there for every time Ive quit, restarted, quit, and restarted MTG. I have been to q few other places, and honestly, they just dont seem to have the fountains of knowledge that these employees possess. Theres a reason Ive come here for years and hope to keep coming here in years to come.

Purchased a model on the 26th. No one offered me a receipt but I didn’t think twice. Two days later, I tried to return it using my credit card as proof of purchase. They argued that they couldn’t prove I bought I from their store (even though it was in the same wrap as 2 days earlier) yet they were “nice” enough to offer store credit. When I pointed out I have proof of my purchase through my credit card statements, they proceeded to pretend that my transaction didn’t exist and they even had the gall to call me a ‘scammer.’ Don’t see how I can scam you when I’m returning the product still in the plastic, but ok. Not sure who I talked to, but the entire store is lousy with that kind of attitude. Easiest charge back of my life.

I brought my Black Lotus into Denver Central Games today to get it inspected for authenticity- I wasn’t sure if it was real or fake. The friendly staff ran a couple of tests on it for free and gave me next steps if I wanted to get it officially authenticated. They were really friendly and knowledgeable. A great place for all things MTG in Denver. The store was clean (especially the carpet) and smelled nice too. Card prices were competitive with online shops. I even got to select a booster pack out of the Mystery Box for purchasing a card over $30. This isn’t the MTG local gaming store that Denver needs... this is the MTG store Denver deserves.

Excellent place for MTG! My sons and I have been coming here for a few years now (on & off) and the staff has always been great. Very knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. If youre looking for single cards I can honestly say only one time have they not had a card I was looking for. If youre looking to build a new deck, head in during the afternoon while its a bit quieter and they will happily sit down with you and filter your ideas down to a super fun deck that will fit your budget. As for their prices? Well it seems as they are somewhat contested. Sure the web can be cheaper, sometimes, depending on shipping. However they are running a brick and mortar shop that not only provides great service, but also supports community. Go in there on the weekend and the place is bustling with real people, having real interactions with each other, and having a real good time. And in todays society that is a little hard to come by, and in my opinion well worth my support.

If you are looking for a specific card, theyll usually have it. Dont anticipate getting a great deal on reselling your cards, though. Their selection is good because they utilize their trade-in profits to keep stocked. Not a bad thing, just important to know. Awful game shop. Ive been to loads better, but Id rather back up my claim than just state the obvious.---Employees/Owner: The employees are incredibly rude, and they often undermine the intelligence of younger audiences. If you bring kids here be warned, they drop f-bombs like no tomorrow. The owner is also very uninterested in anyone that isnt the Magic community, giving an air of holier than thou to anyone who isnt part of it.Shop itself: Incredibly dirty, often smells disgusting, and people smoke right outside the door to make it even worse. I also want to mention you can have no outside food or drink (even a water bottle, which I find ridiculous). Ive brought a water bottle in before and was scolded for it, then saw some other guys come in carrying Wendys and got no punishment.Prices: Not competitive at all, decently overpriced even for the area. Youre better off taking your business elsewhere when it comes to buying/selling/trading.---If you enjoy the shop good on you, but you could be doing a lot better in the area and the owner and staff could care a lot more about you. A big shame indeed.

The store is kinda small which is not a bad thing at all. It still manages to fit 10 (8x4 I believe) tables into the front arelobby area. They have half a wall that has board games on it and a equal size section for warhammer 40k. There is a standing shelf unit that has many of the accessories that you would need for either minutes gaming or card gaming. There are no paints for miniatures in the store that I have seen. However the strong suit for the store is magic the gathering cards. There are three display cases that house 100s of valuable cards and a back wall full of bulk cards. I believe there are even more cards in the back of the store. The staff are quite helpful and friendly. If you come into the store with a list of cards you want they will help you to search for them. If you want to look up pricing ahead of time they follow the pricing of star city games. The store also puts on many magic themed events throughout the week like standard tournaments, drafts, and sealed. Small Shop Syndrome. Grabs every penny from you if possible . We’ve all been to shops like this so I thought I’d add my 2 cents ; this shop is not run economically for anyone and it puts strain on the ability for the game to be played . Trust your feelings . But remember your focus determines your reality .( To the owner ~ )It’s also hilarious you as the owner attempt to defend your conniving prices . You can’t defend your prices if you’re using a system that literally makes you a bottom feeder of Star City Games . You’re literally letting me know what I get is what I pay for ; their price difference exists and they can still make money , this implies they offer something else that you do not . If you’re going to bother coming here there is a number of things you should be aware of.Selling- If you’re selling let it be known that all of sales be it bulk, or singles is subject to selection. Even bulk rare is cherry picked (HARD). All policies are subject to change on a whim, even when you’re told one thing regarding a policy, it will be changed without your knowledge once sufficient time has been wasted. Really fun use of your time…Buying- Card prices are based off of StarCityGames which is far over market price. The conditions all appeared to be less than NM/M.Aesthetics- It is like walking into an old converted Chinese restaurant. Everything appears to be either dirty or sticky. The owner looked so disheveled and dirty I felt like buying him new clothes.I will never come back to this location and will certainly let my friends know to never set foot in this location. I have only gone in a couple of times, and each time has been less than satisfactory and a jarring reminder of why I do not frequent the store despite living about a mile away.First off, if you want something other than Magic cards or their accessories, good luck. The selection is scarce and limited to a single corner.Second, if you go at any time there is an event going on, be prepared to feel as though you are about to get mugged by the half dozen or more smokers right outside the door. And get used to the smell of their cigarettes and vapes because...Three. The store reeks of body odor, cigarette smoke of varying varieties, and possibly last weeks Hot Pocket which you dropped beneath the sofa and forgot about. And if people are fine with it, saying it keeps the customer base to those who dont mind (or heaven forbid, enjoy) that smell such as a previous reviewer, more power to em. I had to step away from people a couple of feet away just to breathe. The only thing which earns this store a 2-star rating is the staff. They are knowledgeable even about games that arent Magic, at least enough to answer basic questions. Which is fine. You cannot expect every store to have every employee know about everything. They are also enthusiastic in talking about it, even if a sale is not imminent.Bottom line:If you want a store which lives up to the stereotype of gaming stores, smell and all, this is your place. But Ill go elsewhere.
