He was very responsive, a great communicator, and a great collaborator on choosing the table finish. Chris is a master at restoration (but would humbly never call himself that!) I highly recommend Kunicki restoration and would use their restoration services again without a doubt.

We really appreciate the work we had done from Chris. We have a mid-century modern dining table that had been refinished by a previous owner, rather poorly. The table leaves had been finished differently than the main portion, varnish wash chipping off, etc. We reached out and Chris was able to bring the table back to life, with all pieces matching, and even remove some black ring (stain?burn?) that I didnt know was possible to remove! We love the finished product, and cant wait to work with them again to restore the matching chairs.

I purchased a unique 60s/70s dining table at an auction - it was in need of structural repairs, refinishing and a matching leaf built. Chris did a beautiful job with all of the above. He has a very high attention to detail, and is prideful and professional in his work. Chris is an excellent new generation complement to the quality and craftmanship that used to be common to furniture manufacturers. Finding an older piece of furniture that you love, and repairing and restoring it, likely wont save you any money vs. going to a retail chain. But the quality of the end product, and your own pride in having authored its resurrection, to me there is simply no comparison.

I am beyond pleased with the results of a repair I had done by Chris and his team! I tried to DIY restore a teak table from my grandparents, and ended up sanding through the veneer. Little over a month ago I gave Chris a puzzle, my grandparents 100 year old table. It was in pieces and I had no idea how it went together nor a picture to go by. Chris was accommodating and made the time to pick up the pieces. They were completed and delivered just in time for the move. We recently had a set of wooden dining room chairs restored. The drop-off process was easy (timing set-up via text as that it easiest for me), the restoration process timeline took as estimated, and the pick-up process was equally as easy. The result was fantastic and well worth the money for the quality and turnaround time. We plan on using Kunicki Restoration for other project (e.g., 18th century secretary cabinet restoration) in the near future!

If a master class were offered in furniture restoration, Chris Kunicki would teach it. Here is a man with tremendous skill and also a deep appreciation of the historical and personal worth of furniture. A round table I use in my office is likely 40 years old and needed repair. As soon as Chris saw a picture of it, he knew it was a piece of art as well as a piece of furniture. That led him to articulate the steps necessary to restore it. The finished piece looks better than it did when I bought it. Now its really a piece of art! If its craftsmanship and care you want, Kunicki Restoration is the place to go.

Chris did an amazing job refinishing the antique dining set that I inherited from my parents. His attention to detail is extraordinary, and he took excellent care of each piece. I had several family heirlooms, several of which were quite damaged, in desperate need of restoration. I called Chris to come and have a look. Our dining room table came across the plains in a Conestoga wagon. Seriously. Its at least 150 years old, and the last few years, when my mom was alive, it got some dings and damage that kept it in the basement after it came to us. I brought Chris a prized, two-tiered unique 47 round coffee table with a tabletop that had been marred by denatured alcohol. He assured me hed get it looking like it was supposed to look including a silky, radiant finish. His stain match with the rest of the table is perfect and a unique paint accent over the decorative vertical leg holes matched beautifully with a design arm feature between the top and lower table. These guys are the best! The did such a beautiful on my Grandmothers old Maple chest of drawers. I would not trust my Grandmothers furniture to just anyone. They were prompt and did such a spectacular job. I would recommend their work to anyone needing their furniture cared for.

I had a family heirloom, mahogany chair for a dining set get broken in a move. I had no idea how to fix it, but since its been in the family 110+ years, it was important to me to have it done correctly.Chris Kunickis studio was the perfect place to take it. I dropped it off on a Monday afternoon and he was kind enough to finish and return it to me before he left for vacation that same week! The repair was done exquisitely, you cannot tell there was a break and theres barely a visible seam from the replacement piece he used for the repair.
