Drove 50 minutes to go look at a lawn mower that is listed in their current inventory , just to get there and have them say that they dont have it and probably wont until sometime in December. They didnt apologize or anything for it still being listed in their current inventory . You would think that they would remove it from their current inventory. They have 7 lawn mowers from Grasshopper listed in their current inventory and they actually only have 2 of the smaller mowers in their inventory. Cost me almost 2 hours of drive time to get there and back home. I wont go back .

I bought a riding mower in a different city and John Deere told me to come here to have it serviced. They wouldn’t help me because i didn’t buy from them. I told the owner I need another mower and an edger would he reconsider and he arrogantly said he didn’t care. These peopleo don’t need or want your business. Go elsewhere. In response to the rebuttal below… your service manager acted like he had the authority to make the decision. I told him that i needed other equipment and would be buying it at the other store he was sending me to and he said he didn’t care. Given that he made that decision I assumed he was the owner. John Deere told me they had never heard of a dealer of theirs refusing to do warranty work for their customers.

Have had Grasshopper, John deere, Wright mowers in the past. All were great machines. But this one is a beast. Lives up to there name.

I brought in my zero turn mower and my push mower into Lawn-Land today for my yearly service. The estimate paper the service manager gave me this morning stated $49. Additionally, if the total price surpassed $150, they would call me for approval. When I arrived this afternoon to pick up my mowers, the bill showed $377. I asked the manager about not receiving the exceeding $150 approval call. He said, “oh that was my bad”. Then we had a long awkward pause. I walked out the service department and found the owner. He looked at me very annoyed and said, “what do you want me to do about it?” I showed him the $150 threshold on my estimate. He grabbed my estimate and my bill, and took it to the service manager. They talked privately for a moment. The service manager came to me and explained that they will physically remove the new blades they just installed and put the old ones back on. Then, they will comp some of the costs to get below the $150 threshold. When they rang up my comped credit amount, they had to ask the owner for approval. Again he looked outwardly perturbed. He snipped at the manager and asked him what exactly he was crediting back. After he had completed the credit, he looked at the service manager and said “when your done you need to come see me.” Today was an absolute train wreck. I am beyond disappointed with Lawn-Land’s customer service, and their inflated service costs. I will not be back.

Worst Service Ever! I spent more than $13000 in their store and they treated me very badly. I bought a Gator from them and when I was test driving it on their parking lot the gear would not shift smoothly. They said it was normal (Not true according to John Deere) A week after it was delivered I had problem with the gears. I called them over and over again and every time they said they will send someone to pick it up. They never did. I contacted John Deere the manufacturer which made them come pick it up for repair. It took them 3 weeks. While my utility cart was there they took my light assembly package that I had in the cart and also took off my towing ball assembly. When the driver finally brought back my cart, he said he forgot to bring those two items. He said he will be back in 20 minutes. It has been a week now and i have called several times and I still do not have my items back. their service department sock. I will never go back to that store. If you buy anything from this store Do Not Expect Service.

Vic spent over an hour with me explaining, in great detail, all the differences between the mowers I was considering. And not only that, he and another technician from the shop spent another 20 minutes with me showing me some great maintenance tips. These kind of mom and pop shops that really know their business and are concerned more about people and long-term relationships than a quick sale… They are few and far between and I like to support them whenever I can, it always pays off in the long run. This is the fourth time I have been here to purchase something. Three thumbs up.

Same thing happened to me a few years ago just like Mathew. I brought in a mower burning some oil under warranty. They dismantled it, denied the claim saying I didnt maintain it properly (which is not true), and then gave me a box of parts and wanted a couple of hundred to put it back together. Went and bought a new engine from Northern Tool. Engine was running great, just burned some oil. Will never shop here again.

Worst service department In town. After purchasing a couple items, I started having issues with my walk behind trimmer less than a month of having it. Right from the start when I first purchased the item it took them a full day to figure out how to assemble the weed eater, and apparently it was still incorrect. I took the item to the service department to fix the issue. After being put off and lied to for a week I finally picked up the trimmer and will fix it myself. I am not sure if the issue is they don’t care enough about their customers or honestly don’t know how to put a belt on a weed eater correctly. Either way, save yourself the wasted time and go to United Ag and Turf or Zimmerer Kubota.

My son was recently received a Honda lawnmower due to the death of his grandmother. It had only been used a few times, but had been in storage for several years. Unable to get it started I took it to Lawn-Land to have it repaired so that he could use it. I had not heard great things about them, but still thought I would give them I try. I should have listened. Upon entering the store to leave it, I was quickly told that they would not work on it since the mower was not purchased from them!!! What kind of attitude is that? Can you imagine if local car dealerships would not work on your car because you did not buy it from there? I will NEVER EVER buy anything from them and will let everyone I know about my experience there. In fact, I was getting ready to buy a John Deere riding mower. Guess what, I WONT buy from Lawn-Land. I would suggest BJs Lawnmower repair if you need anything fixed. Although they are in Ponder, it is a 10 minute drive and they dont care where you bought it. They are also highly rated on Angies List.

What do you get from Lawn Land that you dont get anywhere else? The service department has a combined 60+ years of experience and know how.The sales department can direct you to exactly what piece of equipment will meet, or exceed, your needs now and in the future. The parts department will do their best to keep you up and running in the most efficient way possible. Is every transaction always perfect? No.But they do what they can to make it right. If they truly were not customer oriented they wouldnt have been around for over 30 years.Dont let the unfavorable reviews skew your choice in giving them your business. See for yourself and come up with your own conclusions.

These guys must be in business for their health. They are about the worst in customer service of any business Ive seen. Stood at their parts counter for a good ten minutes with no sign that they even noticed me. Then they waited on someone that had just walked up. They have a lot of parts, but its not worth it. If you finally get them to do something for you, it takes forever to get a part thats out of stock. You could fly to China and pick it up yourself. And dont expect them to let you know they have it either. You have to check with them. This is some business.

Needed to replace the spindle on my John Deere 115 riding lawn mower. Called store and spoke to the receptionist who stated that the guy in the repair center was on the phone and could she take my name and call me back...3 hrs later no call back. So I them back and this time the receptionist forwards my call and I wait on hold for the repair shop. The mechanic who answers my call explains how it will take a hour to change out the spindle because they will also service my lawn mower. I explain how I have already removed the deck and just need the spindle changed out. He says it will still take a hour of service....Ok...I ask how much for the part, to which he replies $200...to which I told him that I have already looked it up and on Amazon you can get 2 spindles about $50 and at the John Deere site it is one spindle for $50. He transferred me to the parts department, who didnt answer the phone... I have tried to call back and now cant even get the receptionist. I have since then read the reviews which explain how bad the customer service is. This place is horrible.

After calling several times a day for several days and only getting a busy signal (yes I said busy signal, I havent heard one in years) I decided to drive by thinking they were really busy, nope, empty parking lot, phone off the hook, apparently the one guy at the counter was surprised when I said I could not reach them by phone and said they have been really busy. When I called it on speaker from my cell it was busy and no ringing in the store. Thats when he discovered it off the hook then said it has been awful quiet lately. You just said it was busy lately!? Long story short, they dont have any customer service and parts knowledge is non existent. I was just looking for lawnmower blades for my JD ZTR mower. Unbelievable, I will never go to them again. Do not shop somewhere you cant even beg them to take your money. Totally incompetent. Sad. I like to support small stores but not bad stores. This store was BAD!

I bought a grill from Lawn Land. I brought the item home and opened the box to find the grills lid was shattered. Lawn Land told me they would exchange the unit and had available inventory. I returned the product to the store and there was no inventory to do the exchange. I asked for my money back and the owner said they will not issue a refund. I now have no grill and no refund. As I calmly tried to get my refund, the owner pushed my receipts back to me and told me to leave the store. The customer service at this place is horrible. I would recommend shopping elsewhere. Buying any expensive item is a risk as they do not stand behind their products to any degree. In summary:- Terrible customer service- Do not stand behind products- Inconsistent and unfair business practices

Every time I go in there, theyve added retail offerings and its a wonderland of stuff to look at / buy and I find the sales staff very knowledgeable. You have to understand that this place is a very customer focused place and not necessarily the self-help Home Depot or Lowes in and out so plan some time to visit and look around till the staff is finished with the customer ahead of you. I know for a fact that one sales man locked up the store on Saturday once and was flagged down by a customer needed a part desperately on the road and he went back to open up to sell him the part he needed. Dont expect that on a regular basis but eNuff said.

Generally pretty good to work with. They dont seem to stock parts for what they sell. Have had to order numerous times for Stihl, Snapper, John Deere products and the shipping is atrocious. Today ordered a coil for a $700 snapper mower I bought in September. Coil went bad. Their repair service is VERY, VERY, VERY slow, so I decided not to take the mower in for warranty. I probably would have to wait 2 or 3 months to get it back like the last time I had a mower evaluated. They did not have the part in stock. Cost $54 including $12.25 shipping and they charged me 8.25% tax on the shipping. Go figure! Thats a bit of extra money in the pocket. Unfortunately, there are no other close places in Denton. I am not really sure how they stay in business unless it is because they are pretty much the only lawn mower/tractor repair/parts place in Denton. Ah well.... Just checked the internet and I can get the part with shipping $20 cheaper. I probably will use the internet from now on.

OMG! Terrible, terrible, terrible. If you have a John Deere tractor, unfortunately this is the only place in Denton county for parts & service. Well, Ive had enough! From now on Im driving to Gainesville or McKinney.Their customer service is terrible!!! Almost every time Ive been in this store it takes forever to get waited on. . The sales clerks are incredible slow in processing customers/sales, therefore you are waiting, and waiting, and waiting for your turn at the counter. And its not that there are a lot of customers - they are just that slow. The final straw for me came yesterday. I ordered a tractor part over 2 months ago. I had to pay the $350 in advance and was told that it would be available either in a couple of days or a week. And that I would be called if it was going to be the later. After 2 weeks of hearing nothing, I called them to see where my part was. They didnt know but said they would find out and call me back. A few minutes later they did call me back to say it was on back order and would be here in 3 weeks. FIVE WEEKS LATER, having not heard from them I drove to the store with my invoice in hand and requested an update. Well, they had no idea where it was. So they called John Deere and found out it had never been shipped. At this point they really couldnt tell me when my part would arrive.Thats a hell of a way to do business - take my money, let it collect interest in your bank and offer no commitment on delivery of merchandise. The owner overhears whats going on and offers to refund my money - YES! I will gladly take my money back and go elsewhere - from now on!!!Oh, and as I was leaving he said they would call me if it ever does come in. You bet! Ill be holding my breath on that to happen. If I could give this a rating of negative 10, I would . I would never recommend this store to anyone I encounter.
