And Frizzy Freddy the red Bantam rooster made me wish I had a chicken coop so I could take him home.

We went there to get chics and although they were out we looked around and they have a lot of good variety of what youre looking for. This is our first time visiting D & L but it wont be the last because the staff is so friendly and caring and genuine. Someone recommended this place. But the store clerks were not helpful. They stood behind the counter not offering any help or provide customer service. One man walked in and asked for a chicken expert to get service.The owner reached out to me and was willing to make things right. Havent had a chance to return but I will give it another chance.

Bought a pair of geese over a year ago. Forced to buy a pair(male and female). Turns out I got two males. Totally pointless. Cost me money building them housing, fencing, automatic waterers, ponds, feeding and keeping healthy just to get screwed out of anything productive. And what solution do I have now? Add more and hope its not more males?

Excellent ppl they go out of their way to help w whatever it is your looking for. They have k9 & cat food, bird feed, chicken feed. Collars. Leashes, vaccinations for dogs & cats, grooming stuff, chickens. Ducks, feed, hay its a really good supply & kids are welcome.

I love the D&L Denton location! They are so clean, and you can tell they really love their customers! I always feel appreciated there, and they have always gone out of their way to make sure I am treated well and happy with every purchase. They also have the best chicken variety around and at great prices! The more expensive chickens are the adult hens that are already laying.The baby chicks are priced extremely well... and with so many special ordered breeds! I have never seen a store carry such HEALTHY chicks & adult chickens year round! I love that they dont vaccinate their chickens to keep them all natural and organic if thats the rout you want to go with your flock like so many are. :)D&L...Great store, great staff, great inventory, and great family from Argyle who owns it. If youve ever thought about stopping in but havent. You should! Not your typical feed store!- Customer for life

Just love this place. They carry equine Triple Crown Senior and mini alfalfa cubes for my 31+ years old gelding. I can get my bee equipment for a fair price. Their price on chicks is high. All the staff is very friendly and so helpful. My Dane, Colt, loves to accompany me.

We travel from Grand Prairie to visit D & L! We purchased our backyard chickens here, and our girls are growing up healthy and happy.The staff is incredible! Great selection of feed (horse, chicken, cattle, etc), pet supplies, food and accessories for different types of animals. They also sell hay, dog food, treats and toys! Staff is always so friendly. You cant beat the service and the product knowledge they have there. They are willing to make the extra effort to help you get what you need with delivery and staying open even after store hours. Who does that these days? Everyone there treats you like family, they know their repeat customers well and listen to all suggestions and I have seen many put into action. I love that they offer special sessions for the customer to attend so they can learn about things that concern a buyer about the products they sell and general knowledge about things of interest in the farming world. They just had a bee keeper come in, where can you find places that go out of there way to educate there customers on all things farm related? I love the special events they have, dogs races, open markets for local vendors, and especially Chicken Days!! They aim to please and go above and beyond what it takes to have and keep a customer. I have bought chicks here twice and drive from Runaway Bay. The chick selection is wonderful and I have had good luck with them. I did lose a couple but it was from my blunder with a storm that came through during the night. Staff is very friendly and helpful to this newby in the backyard chicken farming. Will continue to drive here!!

The staff helped me get set up as a new chicken owner. They were patient and kind. They helped me pick out 6 healthy chicks (showing me how to pick the heathiest). And all 6 ended up being female and the breeds I thought I bought (trust me when I say thats a hard thing to find). I wont be getting any mail order chicks as long as d&l is around. Thanks d&l for a positive start to my newest adventure!

I love this place! I drive out from Southlake for the variety and the great customer service. They somehow know which car is yours and have your big stuff loaded before you even get out there!! The staff are really sweet and friendly. Today the little chicks were amazing - so many varieties! I cant believe I bought a $41 chick.... a Lavender Orphington!! Anyway, love the store and the selection of feed and farm supplies. I was able to pick up everything that I need to make a fire ant bombs with organic things that are good for the soil. I have horses and dont want poison. They even carry a 1 gallon jug of orange oil. They really have it all and the prices are fair and the quality is great.

Beware if you buy chickens from this place. I have had chickens for ten years and the only baby chickens that have died on me have come from this place. You are taking a big gamble buying the $40 chickens. They do not vaccinate them, guarantee them or replace them. Just to give you an example I bought 15 baby chickens from them and 3 died. I bought another 3 more baby chickens at $40 each and one died within 24 hours. I tried to exchange it and they said they would give me 10% off another $40 chicken. I told them they lost a good customer for life. I have bought many baby chickens from the Argyle Feed store and not one has died. Argyle Feed store vaccinates their baby chickens and they always seem healthier and bigger. So its Argyle Feed store from now on.

D&L feed is an old time feed store with all the best stuff. Friendly people, freshest feeds of every kind, tons of tack and farm supplies, and a huge selection of baby chicks and ducklings. Its clean and doesnt reek of pesticides like most feed stores. I love it and recommend them to all my friends and family.

Awesome customer service and selection. This is a family owned business, and every time we go in the owner has been there to help. He (and all of the staff) is very knowledgeable, and will give you honest answers to your questions even if it means losing a sale.Their chicken selection is awesome, and prices are very competitive. They often have hard to find breeds like Marans and Blue Laced Red Wyandottes.We will always go to this location for all of our animal needs.

The staff is very friendly, however, I do NOT recommend buying very young chicks from here. We got 3 bantam silkies and within days 2 of them were dead after having diarrhea. The third has just passed.

This is THE place for chickens and chicken related amazingness. We recently got ourselves involved in urban chicken farming and Caitlyn (sp?) was absolutely amazing! She was patient, knowledgeable and extremely kind to us. We bombarded her with a million questions and she steered us in the right direction and didnt try to break our bank. We have since been back and once again Caitlyn was perfect. We even named one of our chickens after her to honor her dedication!

I love the fact that D&L does NOT vaccinate baby chicks! This gives me the option to raise organically if I choose. The thing you have to be careful with is to make sure your own flock does not have Mareks. Make sure you introduce these healthy unvaccinated babes into a healthy organic flock and you are set! Love my organic eggs that I get from my organic mamas that were not vaccinated with nasty chemicals! Living clean...Thanks D&L!!Jennifer T
