Save a lot is the lowest priced grocery store in Volusia County. If you are on a fixed income or just want to save money then this is the place to go.Great prices on meat , veggies fresh and frozen, eggs and dairy. Just watch there adds and sign up for their coupons. I save over 50% on my groceries and they are USA based unlike Aldi which is German and Winn Dixie which is Australian and Publix which is only for the wealthy.

Always shop and look for Mark Downs. I absolutely love this place for discount groceries. I get me in bulk here for a fraction of the price. Quality of produce is not that great but meat and cheese and Frozen goods are awesome. Not many name brand though on the candid non-perishables

Meat prices are usually great. Love the meat sales. Everything else is about average. However, rarely, very very rarely, ever more than one register open and it seems everyone has to check out at the same time. The quarter in the carts is annoying, but l get it. If you want to go meat shopping, go here for the sales. Even then, not the cleanest or best cuts. Cheap though. Anything else, look elsewhere.

Clean and convenient location. My son usually shops here since its close enough to walk there for him. He goes for anything we run out of during the week. They do have a handicapped cart or two. Good prices on most items.

In order to save money: Go to Save A Lot on on Howland Blvd, also make sure youve banked enough patients because one cashier and the manager (whom ignores you) and the one and only line will cost you an enormous amount of time. This place gets One Star because this App will not let me go further. Otherwise it would get zero..

The main manager and one older female cashier are consistantly rude and seem to go out of their way to be unhelpful, no matter how cheerfully you treat them. The rest of the staff have demonstrated positive customer service behavior which represents the brand well. Ive had good and bad experiences at this store. Its always a crapshoot when I walk in those doors.

I must be honest. I shopped at Save-A-lot for the first time this past February. I always thought it was just another box store. Boy, was I wrong. I was drawn in because of the unbelievable prices they had in their ad. I bought a family pack of t-bones advertised at $4.99 lb. I was sure they would be like shoe leather at that price. Since then I have bought almost all my meat there and not once was I disappointed. They have a few things that need work. They dont have the friendliest staff. If you need a scooter cart you may have a little wait as they only have one. Their open until 10pm which is a plus. I would definitely recommend you give it a try.

Its a Sav A Lot. Not the cleanest. Not top notch fresh veg and fruit. But has some excellent pricing on several items such as cheese, buscuits, bulk sausage, some canned goods among other items.Purchased my .79 cents/lb ham. Bought several other items. One poor hard working cashier with long line to check out.

When you walk in it smells meh, the food is okay for the quality. Lines were particularly long when I went in.

Very dirty run down. Some prices are competitive but barely. Usually only 1 register and not alot of stock to choose from. UPDATE. New management much cleaner, brighter, more organized. Prices still well below average on most goods. Still understaffed but friendlier more helpful.

The night Assistant Manager has a personality of a wet mop and doesnt need to be in a management position at all, not even working with the public!!! Employee needed medical assistance he didnt even attend to her then a noisy shopper was like a rent a cop telling customers that they cant come down the aisle. First of all the manager should have escorted her to save location instead of in the aisle or if she couldnt move he should have closed off the location where the employee was instead of a noise shopper wanting to be noisy.When the manager was approached he acted and showed no empthy nor sympathy for the employee nor how the noisy shopper was treating customers that passed or even stepped into that aisle.The absolute WORST EXPERIENCE EVER.

They redid the store. It looks cleaner and easier to find stuff. A better selection now too.

I just fully just started feeling better after having a C-section so I decided its time to start working again . I filled out the save a lot application on December 28th 2019 and after I called the store and spoke with joe . I then went up to the store for the interview, He said I was hired and sent me the background check which I completed the same day and I had to wait days later for the store to get the results. After about 4 days later On a Saturday he notified me that he got them and we first scheduled another time for me to come in the store, he said midday Monday . Monday morning at 7:52am I notified him I could come in at 1 or 2pm he told me not to worry about coming in today and I said okay what day he like me to, The next day on Tuesday he finally responded back for me to come in Wednesday and I told him yes I can at 2pm and he responded back hes waiting on my job code and I told him to just let me know before I came and he said okay . The next day Thursday at 9:30 am he havent let me know anything so I reach out to him and ask did my job code come in, at 10:52 am he responded and said Yes I then reply okay great how long will I be there, he reply not that long if I want to we can do this Friday I told him okay cool but I wanted to start working that following Monday he said okay. Today once again I reached out to joe because he hasnt I asked him do I still come in today because he switched it twice already by now and he responded back and ask what time did we agree upon and that he dont have time to waste .I told him we didnt agree on any time for today but I was out getting my kids from school so I dropped my kids off at they grandmas and my husband dropped me off at save A lot . I went in the store and ask the cashier lady can she get the manager, I waited for like 10 mins and once joe saw me he tried to walk off but seen that I seen him and he started walking to me then stop so I walked to him and he ask me what am I doing here and I thought maybe he had so much going on he forgot or didnt recognize me so I was polite and I told him you said bring my License and social security card right and he looked at me and said he was not going to hire me anymore because the first day I changed times on him and I ask him why he lead me on then and kept changing days for me to come in like why not tell me this days ago, I wasted time and gas going to the store and I couldve been out looking for another job but thinking I was still hired on at save a lot I didnt do so. The manager joe was unorganized and rude and didnt take no blame or fault for his mess up and decided to take it out on me then had the nerve to tell me I didnt really want the job smh how when I kept reaching out . He claimed he dont have time to waste but had no problem wasting mines. Im a wife and mother of 4 kids and I go to college, how rude he was and Inconsiderate I dont wish that on nobody, I didnt deserve to get my time wasted or lied too. I will never shop again at this location either.

Save a lot has become my new place to do my grocery shopping. I didnt give them 5 stars though because of 2 reasons. One is that although I understand they are a lower priced budget friendly store I would still expect good quality products and for the most part I have no issues except for when it comes to their produce. The section that has all of the potatoes smells absolutely horrible from some of the bags of potatoes rotting. Obviously no one monitors the product and removes spoiled items and practices the FIFO rule. Im also dissapointed in most of their fruit because it goes bad way to fast. Fresh fruit already has a short shelf life but fresh fruit from here is even worse. I have to dig around to even find a package of strawberries that are fresh looking just to get them home and theyre rotting by the next evening. They should last longer then a day or two. Fortunately its not all of their produce thats like this. Some of it is way better. My other reason I didnt give them 5 stars is because of the lack of staff and poor management. They only have a few registers as it is yet they will only have one open no matter how many people are in line. The cashier will call for help and when their help comes to the front they have an attitude as if we as customers bothered them for having to do their job and the manager is even worse. I was in there shopping the other day and the line got so long that a few customers suggested to the cashier to call for help. The manager was standing off by the office door this whole time so he could see what was going on and the cashier turned around and asked him to help her by opening another line. As he started to open another register he asked the cashier about another employee and where this employee was (I dont remember the name he said) and the cashier said on break/lunch and the manager huffed and said well this isnt my job we need to get someone from the back up here. I was floored by this statement and by his demeanor when one of his employees asked for assistance. One she shouldnt have needed to ask because as I stated he saw the line and as a manager he should have been proactive and resolved the issue without needing to be asked. Two after being asked he should have willingly helped without the attitude and disrespectful remarks because as the manager everything to do with running this store is YOUR JOB. Your employees and the image and reputation of your store is a reflection of you as a manager so if that means assisting your employee, providing awesome customer service, being professional and holding yourself to certain morals and standards and being a role model then you do it and you do it with a smile. Outside of those two things though I love shopping here and will continue to for the bargain and the money it saves my family.

Save-A-Lot Food Store is clearly the biggest bargan among grocery retailers in the city limits of Deltona. This store provides a no frills shopping experience in exchange for discount pricing on many items that cannot be beat or matched elsewhere. When you come to shop here dont forget to bring your own bags as none are offered here at no cost like other standard grocery retailers.

Ive been to a couple of Save-A-Lot locations before and this one is probably the cleanest one Ive been to yet.They do need to be a bit more attentive in cycling out the produce. Some of the fruits and veggies go bad really fast.

They dont give bags because that way they can keep the prices low, but their prices are the same or more expensive than Walmart and some other stores. Also, a lot of times the same product is not always available. Today I had a bad experience with this cashier Lady, when I was paying she told me (in a bad mood) that she needed the cart back because that was the only one that she had, I told her that the next customer had a cart and she told me he was going to take it... WHAT? (I was going to take too, what is the difference between me and the other customer?) So, now, not only they dont give bags but the customer has to bring the cart back to the cashier lady after put the goods in the car. maybe because the store dont pay enough to her to go out and get another cart... OH wait! maybe save a lot give rebates to the customer when he/she brings the cart back? or maybe this cashier has a bad attitude and is thinking that the customer can be a cart employee without pay. Some times is not the store, the problem is some employees. Anyway, if they dont give bags to customers at least put carts available inside the store because a lot of times a customer comes in looking just for one thing and dont get a cart outside but in the way to get only the one thing some other stuff jumps in the hands and the customer is going to need a cart (or bags) to go out with the goods... I am sorry but I am not willing to pay for bags when the prices are the same o more expensive than other stores.

The manager of the Howland store was the most rude, and miserable person Ive ever seen in a store.The staff at that store is always exceptional. Pleasant and helpful.In a matter of 5 minutes I saw her talk down and embarrassed three people on her staff in front of all the customers.I actually apologized to one of the cashiers for her bosses ineptatude. I hope someone reads this who can change that womens attitude!!
