Big Box doors are great but this hardware store is one of a kind, 1 of the few remaining small independently owned an interesting hardware stores you will find. The building has historical significance and is unbelievably well built and will be here for another 100 years. Has most of the items that you would need for repairs of a home and small projects. But well worth a visit.

This place is a true small community business and that’s what makes it great. It’s not as impressive or have a selection of your big box .stores like Home Depot or Lowe’s but this business is homegrown and right smack in the center of Delaware OhioNeeded some lightbulbs for microwave today and I could’ve easily gone to the big box chain store but I wanted to try out this local hardware store and support the local community.It’s not fancy and it is truly a walk into yesterday but it was an experience well worth it and I’m glad to support small-town America business did you

This great little store puts customers first. They may not have fifty brands of every item, but they know every item in the store and will take the time to teach you about what you are buying so you know how to use it properly. I recently had a knee injury and arrived using a broken walker. A fellow customer carried it into the store for me, I asked for help finding the right screws needed to fix the handles, and they not only found what I needed but also put them in place for me because I didnt have the right thing-a-ma-bob to install them myself. I cant imagine a big boxstore going this far above and beyond. Also, this is far from the first time they have gone far out of their way to help me find the right item or figure out my next step in a project. Once, I was going to buy a very expensive smoke detector to replace mine bc I couldnt get the batteries out. The owner instead helped get the dead battery out, and I left with a replacement battery. If I need something they dont carry, they suggest who might carry it.The Hardware Exchange has earned my loyalty.These people demonstrate pure integrity every time I walk in! This place is great! Ive recently been in the area working on a bathroom remodel and this place has lots to offer for not looking like a boxstore it sure has a wide variety of remodeler materials. There is a little mark up, but hey its right on the main drag. Plus the staff are super friendly and there is always somebody to point me in the direction I am needing THANKS

Nice old fashioned safe store

Time after time for 24 years my family has received great service! This store has everything one needs relating to common and unique hardware items. The staff is VERY attentive and helpful to all customers. It would be a challenge to find more knowledgeable people and better service.

They have literally everything (and even more on other floors of the building). They have a massive selection of obscure bolts, bushings, bearings, and other fittings, plumbing parts and pieces, They are well worth a stop out, often saves running down to the big box stores. Almost always have excellent service. This place is an awesome local resource.

Extremely courteous and professional staff who are very knowledgeable. They fixed our window screen to a very high standard after it had fallen out of the window during a storm, and the frame had been bent. We were told we would need a whole new screen at the cost of $50 by a screening company. True Value fixed the broken piece of the frame at a fraction of the cost. Cannot recommend them enough!

This is an old fashioned hardware store filled with interesting things. Unlike many big box stores they do have friendly knowledgeable staff who can answer questions and find what you actually need to do the job. This level of service takes time, so if there is someone ahead of you, relax & be prepared to wait patiently...

Hardware Exchange takes you back to a better time in every way by every measure. You need two stainless steel oval head screws of a certain size and length? Got em. And buy what you need by the piece at a fair price, whatever it is. Not the illusion of economy. Not a bubble pack of five bolts and a compatible bubble pack of three nuts, and then a bubble pack of 6 lock washers. Bulk nails and screws of every useful kind and size, by the nail, by the ounce, by the pound. Grass seed by the scoop. Copper tube or pipe cut to length. Electrical wire, chain, etc. and so forth, by the foot, by the coil. All quality stuff, all American made when mfr. available. Wooden floors, ceiling fans and a knowledgeable, experienced, veteran staff rather than a sales staff. Anything and everything a hardware store should be.Hardware Exchange is a valuable community resource, one of the last standing where once there were many. I go out of my way to come here because the commitment Andy and Keith have shown to doing business the right way deserves my respect and support.

The best hometown hardware store you will ever need. So convenient right downtown! I can run down before or after work & even on my lunch break. And the only place I can find my replacement microwave light bulb--today I bought two! Check it out!

Great old fashioned hardware store with narrow aisles with stuff jumping out at you from all directions. I love it. They have a very good inventory and the employees are knowledgeable and very eager to help you. I prefer this place over the large chain hardware stores any day!

This place is great! They always have 2-3 familiar faces on the floor that are extremely knowledgeable and always willing to help find what you need. I never spend more than five minutes here, because as soon as you walk in your greeted by someone asking what your looking for and they take you right to it. Oh yeah...and they have ALWAYS had what I needed!

Unless you have all day to wait for customer service, dont bother. I live in Delaware, so unfortunately Ive went to this place a few times, always the same thing. No one wants to help you. Most recently I went in today to have a single key made. I was told someone would be with me when they were finished with customers and left at the counter for 10 minutes. I just walked out. Which the girl at the counter seemed totally indifferent to. NEVER AGAIN.*Like many business owners in the Downtown Delaware area, this place has every family member, local church member, and best drinking buddies writing bogus reviews for them. Beware the glowing reviews using the same buzzwords over and over again! Seriously, do you people write scripts for these fake reviews?
