Technician did a great job! Very thorough and efficient. He explained everything clearly. Found him to be very honest with his explanation. I then ended up needing to call the office on a matter we forgot to discuss with the technician. The person I spoke was very professional and nice. She got back to me quickly after speaking with the manager and we were very pleased with the response. We felt both the technician and office staff were honest with us and didnt try to sell us anything we didnt need. We appreciated that! We have been using MacFarlane for years and are always very happy with the technicians and office staff. They even send a picture of the tech and let you know when they are on their way. Highly recommend.

Luis and Paul did an amazing job installing our Mitsubishi split system. They were courteous, professional and friendly. They explained everything about the installation and showed us how to work the remote and how to keep the system clean. David, the electrician, went out of his way to configure the connections so they were unobtrusive (he had to get creative due to the layout and accessibility of our home to the electrical panel). What a great crew.

Ive been a MacFarlane customer for the entire 22 years Ive lived in my present house. Over that time their service has been quite good. Very responsive when there was an issue and quite dependable for the routine maintenance. This last time my furnace had stopped working. David showed up during the window that had been set and quickly diagnosed the problem and fixed it. He was very personable and polite. Then I mentioned that I had an upcoming appointment for a yearly check up. He called in and got the okay to do the check up while he was there, thus saving me a half day later in the week. Also, and most important to me in retrospect, before he left he asked if I had issues with my water heater and said it probably needed to be looked at. The next day I had plumbers in and the heater was replaced. Because of Daves observation and concern, I was probably saved from having 50 gallons of rusty hot water in my basement.

Central AC install went as smoothly as anyone could hope for and the results are amazing. The guys were extremely professional and got the job done quickly and to a high standard. Great communication along the way to make sure everyone was on the same page about placement of equipment and vents, etc. and ensuring there were no surprises. They were even patient enough to entertain conversations with our babbling 18-month-old. The installation was done a few weeks ago and its made a huge difference to everybodys comfort whether its 80 or 95 degrees outside. Recommended!

Trevor was super quick and helpful with my HVAC needs. He was thorough and explained the extent of work at the end of my appointment.MacFarlane was also transparent and communicative throughout the scheduling, planning, and arrival. I was notified promptly of my appointment after walking through my request with a very friendly member of their booking team. The man from MacFarlane arrived at the early end of his scheduled range. After examining the furnace he then activated it to understand the exhaust smell coming from my fireplace about which I had called..He then explained that the chimney is divided into two sections. One for the smoke from the fireplace and another for the exhaust from the furnace. My problem was a leak between the two sections that only a chimney repair could resolve. He then went down to the furnace to be sure everything else was working fine. He was friendly, courteous and thorough. Because he came early I was able to contact a chimney company that day.

MacFarlanes team saved our summer. Our air conditioning condenser broke down, and we called another AC company. That company couldnt come out for a week, and when they did, they charged us a fee just to show up. The cost tripled after they installed a $20 part that they already had on the truck for $200, and doubled down by trying to convince me to replace more parts that were working fine just to be safe. And a week later? The entire system shut down again.We called MacFarlane. A tech was on site that day, diagnosed a faulty repair, had all the correct parts, and had the system working again within an hour. Honest, direct, fast, efficient, quality work, polite and knowledgable staff. I wont call anyone else but MacFarlane after this.

Had a central air unit installed by Paul License and another technician. Originally was told it would take 2 days but since both are lead technicians, it only took 1 day! Also appreciated that masks were worn. I had a general understanding of the old unit and the water pump but they excluded the pump and made it better without the need for one. They also took precautions to not leave a mess by laying down cloths where they would be walking through a lot and even vacuumed up after completing the installation. Satisfied customer!

Jim and John replaced my 30-year-old boiler with a new high-efficiency boiler. They were very professional and did a great job setting up the new boiler in the existing space, connecting it to the two existing zones with minimal disruption. I admit I was nervous about drilling holes through the vinyl siding for the new intake and exhaust pipes, but Jim took care of it without damaging the siding (which was a relief, since I have no spare pieces of siding). During the two-day install, they graciously answered my questions. In the end, I was very pleased with the way the install went. Hopefully I will continue to be pleased once the heating season begins.

So my air conditioner stopped working in hottest part of summer. Called MacFarlane energy my oil company and they sent out Wayne S same day in the afternoon. He was so kind knowledgeable and caring. I was nervous to deal with repair men as I am a single mom but Wayne and actually all the service people at MacFarlane are so refreshing and professional and non anxiety producing. I am extremely appreciative that they sent Wayne as he was so knowledgeable and explained fixing everything as he did it. Turns out it was not a major repair so that was awesome too!! We were both very satisfied with our experience in purchasing an installed mini-split ductless A/C heat pump system from MacFarlane. Jerry in Sales and Paul the installer were both professional and considerate of our needs and requirements. Paul was convincing in his recommendation to install the outdoor compressor unit on the patio block pad, versus ON the exterior wall (due to potential vibration being felt on the interior of the 3-season room). He was also meticulous about doing a thorough job of vacuuming up all the interior work area and paths he had walked in the main house. I also appreciated that he consulted with me about our preferences on routing some of the exterior drain and refrigerant lines. Great work guys ! Will recommend MacFarlane

Wish I could have given 0 star! MacFarlane Energy does not do anything to keep their customers happy. Especially the tenants who are imposed to use MacFarlane Energy services because of their landlords annual service contracts.What a shame by a company that categorizes their customers like this!!!Although I have cancelled my enrollment on the automatic delivery through their website, they tell me that they never received that and filled my tank without my permission.Although they assured me that they were going to pull out the oil before I move out they never did and told me that they tried to reach out to me but couldnt which is completely a lie!These things are not major and could have easily been resolved with a customer focused approach or a better online system which MacFarlane is clearly lacking. What is the point of having an online system if they are not capable to handle!!! By the way this was not the first time they messed up with online deliveries.I admit that companies can have bad tools and processes in place but they cannot have the rude staff dealing with the customers. Their customer rep Mr. PAUL did not hesitate to threaten me over the phone to put this into the court and accused me being unreasonable! This is completely UNACCEPTABLE. I am so happy that I moved out and I dont have to deal with this company anymore. STAY AWAY!!!

Paul License of MacFarlane Energy did a great job installing a Mitsubishi mini-split heat/AC unit (one unit inside and one outside). He figured out a way to get the tubing through to the outside unit when there was little space between my roof and window. It looked great after it was done. The indoor unit also looks great and he cleaned up everything including vacuuming my floors where they walked. I am very pleased and would definitely use them again. They were very knowledgeable and professional.

Paul was at the house early and ready to go to work. He is incredibly detailed in his work. The floors and carpet were covered with tarps and everything was kept clean. When the work was finished, Paul vacuumed the area where he had been working.Boomer came to review the work and offered the technical skills that made the system(s) work. Glad they sent him- he took time explaining everything to me, explained what he was checking and why and how it affects performance. My 19 year old central AC decided to die on me during the first heat wave of the year this past Monday. My husband has worked with MacFarlane Energy for several years and called them to help. We needed a whole new system and they got it done and installed by Friday. The guys that were here were friendly and efficient. They lose a star because it took them two full days to install and they kept my son more updated on how things were progressing than they did me. We were having an issue with our boiler starting up, then shutting down and displaying a burner error. A boiler reset would clear the error, but then it would happen again. We have a high efficiency Buderus G125BE Low-NOx blue flame boiler, which requires to be serviced by a technician who has completed the training/certification by Buderus. One of the reasons we chose MacFarlane Energy is because of service manager Rob M., who is extremely knowledgeable and knows everything there is to know about the Buderus G125BE. Whenever we have an issue, Rob is usually the one who accompanies another service tech. Buderus no longer sells the G125BE in the US market, so it’s a good opportunity for Rob to train techs on working with this model. Rob arrived with Brian and he was quickly able to diagnose the problem. A small piece of a plastic part on the burner broke off at the top, which was causing the issue. A new part was ordered at Buderus and Rob & Brian returned the following week to replace the part. The boiler has not shut down once ever since the part was replaced. As long as Rob is with MacFarlane, I know we will be in good hands. Thanks Rob!

We recently had our annual service completed by service tech Wayne S. and I must say he performed the most thorough tune-up/cleaning of our oil boiler. He called ahead of time to let us know that he is on his way and would be here in 15 minutes. We have a high efficiency Buderus G125BE Low-NOx blue flame boiler, which requires a specific Buderus service kit to tune-up the boiler and is only to be serviced by a technician who has completed the training/certification by Buderus. Unfortunately, Buderus no longer sells this boiler in the US market so it can be difficult to find a knowledgeable tech. Needless to say, I am always a little concerned when any service needs to be performed. In the past, we’ve had a tune-up/cleaning from a tech that did not have the latest diagnostic equipment for taking accurate readings to adjust our boiler settings. This caused higher than normal CO readings as well as the boiler not running as efficiently as it should. Luckily for us, Wayne has the experience and proper diagnostic equipment. He adjusted the oil pump psi and burner static pressure to correct the CO issue. Not only did he clean and tune-up the boiler, he is the ONLY tech that has ever removed our smoke pipe to do a proper cleaning. By doing so, he was able to determine that a section of the smoke pipe had rotted out. He replaced the pipe and cleaned up the work area very well, went over everything he had done, and was more than willing to answer any questions I had. Our boiler is now running as it should at 90% efficiency. You can now actually tell a difference by the way the boiler sounds when it starts up and also when running…just like it did when it was brand new. Wayne is an excellent technician who is friendly, courteous, professional, and cares about doing the job right. Thank you Wayne!

I recently needed service for three air-forced gas Heating units and called MacFarlane Energy to send a service person out to take care of it .The receptionist that took my call was very helpful in recommending the type of service and scheduling the appointment.Andrew, the service man from MacFarlane Energy,arrived on time and having worked in construction service myself, it was a breath of fresh air to watch him perform the required service on all units. One of the heating units was in a very difficult place to service and past service men had given up trying. Andrew did not; instead he took his time and checked the entire heating unit, changed filters, and made it work like new.Thank you Andrew! Matt took his work seriously, looked at the heating system as well as my thermostat. based on info. I gave, he diagnosed, did the needful. confurmed the thermostat was the issue and disengaged it per my request..tested the heating system and ensured it worked. also per my request, he planned while submitting the report, is going to have a service call set up -for McFarlane to prove a quote for ithe Honeywell thermostat (buy from Mcfarlene and nstallation. requested to expedite, since I will be without heating system.

I have had several oil companies since being a home owner. I’ve had macfarlane energy for the past 20 years. They are responsive, friendly, trustworthy and professional. Their service is the best out there. I had an issue with my heat and they came right out. The technician didn’t have the motor I needed, went back to the shop and came right back out to fix it. Love them.

Bill was exceptional. Very professional. Arrived within the designated timeframe. Was able to diagnose the problem and we had A/C within the hour. Inquired about other issues that another company mentioned for additional work and those items were ruted. Things broke down just AFTER a service called to the competitor. Felt very comfortable with the Technician, Bill, and have decided to go with a maintenance plan with them. Only downside was having to wait a week for the appointment when there was a heat wave when the a/c was not functioning. Overall an A+ rating.

Paul at MacFarlane has been doing an extensive HVAC renovation project at my home. He is really bright and extremely nice. He has a great work ethic and obviously takes pride in doing a a thorough and detailed job. In the future I would ask for him any time I would need any HVAC work done. Couldnt be any more happy with the driver the truck his work affects the efficiency I was very very pleased with the work that he did Thank you very much he came on time he did what he was supposed to deal I do need to give him a message he did leave a tool here that was hidden in the basement area it is located on the top of the brick wall at the top of the driveway he can pick it up whenever he wants to

John G and Jimmy M, did an excellent job with the installation of our new gas boiler system. I am very impressed with their care for detail. Installation took two days, but they were always on time and work the whole day to get the job done. They made sure that they had the right pieces, tested and made sure the installation was done as if this was their own home. MacFarlane has earned a new loyal customer. I will recommend them to all my neighbors.
