Stopped by based on the reviews this place received. Im new to Ohio and moved south of Dayton, so I went on a hunt for a great coffee shop near me, and this was it!Its got a cool ambiance and a neat look, but you usually dont go to a coffee shop for that (or at least it is probably not a priority). I tried out the macchiato first, it was very well done and had a great flavor. Next up was the cappuccino, which was a success as well.I definitely would recommend this place to anyone trying to get their coffee on and Ill be visiting this probably on regular basis now.y

I have stopped into Press 3 times in the past several months and each experience has been unique. The coffee has always been freshly prepared and each cup taste like the experience of years’ worth of knowledge used to create the recipes. If taste alone was the only factor this place would soar. Customer service could use double shot of ezpresso, but worth the effort if you have the time to wait it out,. The decor of the establishment: Minimal, straightforward and clean-cut. If you need a good stop for coffee check these guys out.

This place is cool, but very small for a Coffeeshop. I barely found seating and the tables in the back part of the store are near only one outlet meaning you might have to fight for energy. On top of that, the back center table has no chairs, meaning is people want to sit at the table, they will have to take chairs from another table, and in this case, it was my table. I wasnt sitting with anyone else and I had two extra chairs, but if I was there with friends, I would have left two people who needed chairs to decide to sit elsewhere. Besides that, they have cute merchandise for the store. This is my biggest gripe, the size of the place, but how is their espresso? Thats what is important. Its good, fruity, and great in a latte. The cappuccino I had was a bit too fruity for me, but they dont lose a star because I dont prefer fruity espresso. Still, if you like a light roast espresso, this place is great. Smooth, balanced, and all the flavors are expressed within the drink.I had a Cappuccino, Latte, Hot Chocolate, and Affogato. Out of all of them, the best drink was the Hot Chocolate. It was perfectly steamed and well mixed with rich chocolate and silky milk. The Affogato was perhaps the worst of them all. Either the shot was bad, or I really, really cant handle a light espresso, but it was pretty under-extracted and sour. When I drank the espresso with the creamy French Vanilla, I couldnt help but frown at the awful acidic mix of sweet and sour.If youre looking for a place to sit down and relax with friends, then good luck finding a seat. If youre looking for a smooth, balanced, fruity light roast to start your day, then come to Press Coffee and enjoy some of the best in Dayton, Ohio. Definitely coming back if Im in the area!

Quality coffee place. More modern industrial with natural wood tones for the interior. Small little shop. You MUST WEAR A MASK, which is always appreciated. They have all of their “sit down” stuff packed away to just allow for walk in service. Berry soda was GREAT. And I loved me latte (as expected ❤️). Very modern and lots of plants. I love it ❤️(I only put 4 star due to the fact that there wasn’t a out-of-their-way service, but that’s hard to find, so overall a great place to go!)

They do things the right way here, almost always quality espresso drinks are made. They roast their own beans and now sell cold press in cans which is great. Aesthetically the shop is gorgeous. One of the most aesthetically pleasing coffee shops Ive seen in any city. The front is all large glass windows flooding the room with natural light. If you’re stopping by for a quick cup of coffee, this is not the right place to go. I ordered a cortado that took over 30 minutes to make, I ended up leaving because the wait was incredible absurd! Does feel a skosh pretentious with regard to barista staff and overall experience. I was sitting with my back to the counter and never heard anything about my drink. It was sitting, lonely and defeated, on the counter. Would they ever have informed me it was ready? I can’t answer that, folks.I felt like they were doing me a favor allowing me to experience their shop. Overly sensitive? Perhaps.Coffee bar is constructed of plywood. Best espresso in town! And if thats not enough reason to visit, the coffee is good too. They keep the menu small, and thats good, as there is usually only one person taking orders, and one barista making the espresso-based drinks. Went to work on an interior design project with classmates. We asked first thing if we could take some measurements as long as we did not disturb anyone. The lady I spoke to was nice and said that was fine. However, the other girl working was extremely rude and within 10 minutes of us sitting down told us basically to order something or leave. We had every intention of ordering once we got our measurements and could sit down. We then heard her talking to another customer, none too quietly, telling him we were “creeping her out” when he asked what we were working on. Overall a bad experience, the coffee was fine, staff rude to the point of making us feel uncomfortable and I will never go back or recommend to anyone.
