This Texas Paint location is awesome. I love BM paint and this location is close to work so I go here every time. They help me choose the color of my living room, kitchen, and bathrooms. Last time I went I was painting my Gazebo and the Manager Steve told me the paint I needed, how much paint I needed and took his time explaining it to me. They really care and take care of their costumer.

I had done business with this company in the past, and had no issues and the sales women was very helpful. Five years later I’m remodeling my kitchen and I wanted to color match a color by a BM competitor. Completely different experience, the sales representative was condescending and could not get the color correct, I called the corporate office in Louisiana after returning the $50 gallon of paint with no offer of refund, or to fix the fact the paint was too dark. All I received from the same sales representative was the same condescending attitude and amusement to my frustration over what color matching means to me compared to the product I received. As much as I try to do business with small companies, I ended up at Sherwin Williams so I could paint my kitchen on the weekend I allocated to do so. I’ve received no refund, no response from the company, absolutely no communication at all.

Theyre excellent. Helped me choose a color for my new home and the right product. It was a little pricey but definitely worth it. Looks great!

Update 5/23/18 - Changing my review. I wanted to give this place another shot since it’s so close to work BUT had be sure their employees had improved first. So I walked in and headed to the paint chip section and was almost immediately greeted by a friendly employee who told me to let her know if I needed anything. Another guy (who turned out to be the store manager) was helping another customer and it sounded like they were having a great time talking to each other. Once they were done, the manager helped me with my order, and was very knowledgeable about the paint qualities and color, and super friendly. So... yay! I now have a super convenient place to purchase my paints, and now feel much more comfortable recommending them. Thank you, Grady (mgr) and Joseph Long (gen mgr; no relation to me)! From January-ish: Nice layout, clean store. I was there to get samples of Benjamin Moore paint but was not greeted or acknowledged by any of the 5 employees there... UNTIL I was walking out and they told me thanks for coming in. When thats what youre told after not being offered assistance it feels more like theyre saying thanks for leaving. I wasnt impressed.

Salesman accidentally charged me a lesser amount than what he originally told me the total would be for a gallon of paint. After the sale, as I was waiting for the paint to finish, I notice the amount charged on the receipt was about $10 cheaper. I wanted to verify that I was getting what I asked for so i asked if that was correct. Salesman stated that he accidentally rang up the wrong price. Rather than honor the mistake he tells me he needs to see my card to refund the original amount and recharge me for the higher amount. Rather than accept his mistake with a dont worry about it, I was penalized for being honest and inquiring about the mistake. His reason was that he had to do it for inventory purposes and he was ONLY the assistant manager and couldnt give me the price I originally paid. Should have left, but they were the only place on a Friday afternoon I could get the paint I needed. I could have given them 4 stars, at the least, but Ill never go back there now. And I feel like I should let folks know why Texas Paint lost a customer over $10. Good thing I alerted him to his mistake, otherwise the inventory numbers wouldnt match up. Youre welcome Mr Assistant Manager.

My wife and I have bought paint from the Texas Paint and Wallpaper Store on several occasions through out the years. My wife had done some business with the Sherwin Williams stores on Preston Rd. and Josey Lane, but she decided to go to the Texas Paint and Wall Paper on Preston because she was not happy with some colors and she wanted to see your colors and talk to someone. The person in the store was like a complete dolt barely literate it seems and was perhaps hired off the turnip truck. She came home and said Im not going there again they cant even explain about their own colors or discuss their formulas intelligently Ill just go back to Sherwin Williams. So I guess you are losing business based on the level of your employees.

Awful customer service! I called because I was interested in a Benjamin Moore product and this store is listed as an Authorized Retailer Plus for their products. The employee I spoke to and his manager were both unknowledgeable and surprisingly confrontational. Neither had ever heard of the product (Notable Dry Erase Paint) and proceeded to tell me that the product either, wasnt want I was asking for (tried to sell me cheapo Rustoleum dry erase kit which is available from any bigbox store), or didnt exist despite it being clearly listed as a Benjamin Moore product which is a whiteboard paint on the main website. Im very disappointed because I called this store a few months ago and reached a very helpful store associate which was able to give me detailed information and a quote for this product. What happened?
