I had good experiences at the Preston Road Pharmacy for a really long time, but things changed the last few years I was in Dallas. During that time I went there to fill a prescription and when I got there, two young girls, probably high school or college age, were working at the counter. One of them got the medication from wherever they were keeping it and threw it at me while the other said something to me in very rude, disrespectful, and hostile tone. This all happened right in front of their supervisor and they did absolutely nothing about it. A few years later, I was in town and wanted to get a prescription filled, but didnt want to use CVS, so I went there. Again, one of their pharmacy employees was rude, hostile, and unprofessional. Before that, I asked my father why he used CVS instead of the Preston Road Pharmacy and he told me that the employees at CVS were nice and that Preston Road Pharmacy charged almost twice as much to fill the same prescriptions.

Prescription delivery was delayed by an entire day which wouldnt have been such a huge deal if everyone who I spoke with on the phone, including a manager named Kevin, hadnt been so short and rude. Ive worked in the service industry - you can be be busy without being so harsh.

This business does not care about public health. Never shopping here again!

I really want to like this local neighborhood gem in University Park. They seem to have an interesting selection of products and a very busy pharmacy. Unfortunately, some of the pharmacy people are just not friendly. You can be busy and still be friendly. I have struggled with the fact that this is a high-end pharmacy but there are people working there who don’t seem to enjoy their job. I would encourage management to do some training of their pharmacy staff, they seem to know what they’re doing but they are very frustrated and not always polite. This is just an attitude adjustment that needs to happen for these guys to be a five-star location.

The pharmacy is the best part of the store I would give them 10 Stars. Actually I would give the whole store 10 Stars if it werent for the one lady that works front register by front door. She is rude, never smiles and never asks if you need help. But like I said if you need anything filled or questions about medications from the Pharmacy this is the place to go. Fast, friendly, knowledgeable and always eager to help!

Really nice pharmacy with a good staff for the pharmaceutical items and some neat gifts (and jewelry, of all things) in the store. I always have had a good experience here and dont understand the negative review at all.They have a nice selection of the normal drug store items and I never found pricing to be an issue.Parking can be a bit challenging with Preston Road, so I suggest you park around the side where you wont be taking your life (and your car) in your hands trying to back up onto Preston Road from the front -area parking. (I always end up with somebody in an SUV - which are ubiquitous in Park Cities - parking next to me, so I cant see oncoming traffic barreling down Preston Road.)

Love this drug store! Has small town warmth. Pharmacy staff and service are excellent.

Great pharmacy

Didnt have the best experience with this pharmacy :/ First time calling I ended up being on hold over 10 minutes and never got to talk to a person except for the brief second when they asked me to hold. Then when I did go in they were not able to give me a price on my compound and I was told they would call me the next day with the price, did not hear from them then next day but did the following. They gave me the price and said they would call me later that day when it was ready so I could come pick it up. Never got called :/ I ended up calling back several days later asking if it was ready and they said it was. This was a new medication and I did not get asked if I wanted to speak with the pharmacist like at other pharmacies when you get a new prescription. Again, just did not have the best first experience with this pharmacy.

The clerk punched me in the face when I was checking out. Absolute horrible costumer service.

The phone rings while staff talk amongst themselves. Pharmacists have zero interaction with customers. I wanted to use an independent pharmacy but I may have to switch.

Terrible customer service. Takes forever to fill prescriptions and they call 50% of the time when your prescription is ready so you never know. Employees are very unhappy and very unprofessional. Very unqualified employees. I wanted to support a local business and family but can no longer do so. Also, I did enjoy the gift shop but everything is way overpriced and they are unable to properly box any large or expensive gifts. They basically throw them in a plastic bag.

Always quick and easy. Compound pharmacy so they are one of the few in the city that can actually make my cats medication.

My favorite pharmacy is Preston Road Pharmacy - no contest. The service is unparalleled, they know the customers by name, and when it comes to speed no one else comes close to them. I wholeheartedly endorse them.

I love having this old-fashioned pharmacy here while I am in town. Its no CVS, but its not meant to be.

Called ten pharmacys looking for a rare perscription, finally found it here, then when we got there they took the rx and took our info and let us sit for 30 minutes, then told us they had to order it, after we herd them say put the pills back in the bottle I will handle this! After seeing a patient from the same doctor fill her rx no problem! They said out loud the rx is fake why else would they come here after hours! Well cause all day we had been running from pharmacy to pharmacy with no prevail and I had called ahead to make sure they could fill it! C*** sucking bastards my girlfriend is in pain and can only get her rx from you and you withhold it, when we travel in rush hour traffic to get there in time and you screw us! If you ask me we are owed a apology and the nearly ten dollars in gas it took getting there!
