I live in Florida but keep my 2015 MasterCraft X46 in storage near Lake Lewisville. I needed it winterized by a trustworthy mechanic who would do mobile service. I feel fortunate to have found through Google, Dallas Boat Service, and they had many excellent reviews. They performed the winterization for a very fair price exactly on the schedule to which we agreed. They communicated by both text and phone throughout the process and sent me pictures upon completion of the work and of my boat properly secured. They are great users of technology and I was able to pay the bill immediately on my phone. I couldnt recommend Dallas Boat Service more highly.

This was my first time taking my 24 foot Blue Wave Bay Boat to Dallas Boat Service. I had 4 new batteries installed in the Bay Boat. I was totally impressed with their service and professional knowledge and attitude. I also asked them to check out the steering on the boat which had a lot of play in it. They filled the hydraulic storage box and bled the line for me at no charge. Owner John Clark even gave me a 10% discount for being a Vietnam Veteran without me asking! We purchased a used boat in July of 2020. We used the boat regularly with no concerns until approximately August. In September the boat took on rain and then we tried to start it and it would not start. We took it to Dallas Boat Service on October 3. They diagnosed an issue and reported they could have it repaired within 2-3 weeks. They never communicated updates to us about the extension of time. Ultimately I was called to pick it up 10 weeks later. We picked up the boat and noted that it had not been covered during this 10 weeks. We paid our full balance with no complaints and went directly to the lake to park the boat in our slip. Within minutes of launching the engine began missing and then quickly the boat began to overheat emitting an alarming amount of smoke. It literally could have exploded. We were then towed to our trailer. When I called the owner, he explicitly told me that I was lying to him that the boat had functioned normally this summer and said he wanted to see video of my children skiing behind it. He also said that my husband was ambiguous in his description of the boats problems as though he was lying. We had absolutely no motivation to lie to this individual who was supposed to help us with our boat. He initially offered to look at the boat again but then began to attack me and tell me that I was lying about the boats previous functionality. I am a physician and hold myself to a high ethical standard in every aspect of my life. I believe this company owes us at least a portion of our money in return since the owner has destroyed the client trust by accusing us of dishonesty.

Took the boat out (Lake Lewisville) for the first time this season and of course I had issues getting the engine started. After 30 minutes of attempting to fix the issue myself, I decided to pull the boat out and head back home. While parked in the lot, prepping the boat for the trip back home, I met the Dallas Boat Service LLC group that happen to be on location enjoying the beautiful Texas day. They approached me and we talked a few minutes, then they were eager to jump into the boat and try to fix the issue for me. In only a few minutes, they were able to diagnose the issue. I am generally not a review writer, but felt this interaction warranted one. I originally called Dallas Boat Service to have a project boat that my girlfriend purchased in December De-winterized. Rachel was extremely helpful in getting everything scheduled. Prior to coming out John (the owner) spent 30 minutes on the phone with me answering all of my quest ions.Upon arrival at our house John proceeded to start a full inspection of the boat and quickly discovered that the boat had not been winterized as promised from the guy it was purchased from. I had bought a used boat and had some worries that it was not starting like it should. Took boat in on a Saturday and John and Rachel were taking a boat to lake to test out. John said to follow and he would check mine out that it was probably something simple. Come to find out I wasnt pushing the choke and it started right up. While it was running he noticed it was running rough and wasnt pumping water. Two days later John called and said the moter needed guite a few repairs and the transom was a total loss. He felt so bad I had got taken on the boat he didnt even charge me a diagnosis fee. These guys are pros and have my business for life.

If you have owned a boat for any period of time you know how much work they are. We literally budget thousands of dollars each season for maintenance and repairs. This season we found our hydraulic ram seals were leaking and the out drive would fall overnight. The power steering pump had started leaking and we had a few electrical issues. After chasing the electrical issues with my limited time to diagnose it my wife suggested we just take it to someone. Being locals to lake Lewisville and grapevine we located Dallas Boat Service in Lake Dallas. After speaking with John about their availability to get to it, we decided to try our luck. I’m glad we did! They provided us a full service diagnostic report which “unfortunately for us” included things we weren’t aware of but we are thankful they caught it all! “We don’t like having issues with a boat full of family”. They even tightened hinge screws on the seats and compartments. Their attention to details was unmatched in our experience as 20yr boat owners. To top off our experience they had all repairs performed in 3 weeks as they projected. They even cleaned the bilge areas and detailed the boat. Professional, prompt, knowledgeable, and have earned our business from here on out. They figured out what was wrong just by hearing the issue. They confirmed the underlined problems and fixed it right the first time. We enjoyed our boat all season for the fist time in years. We called to get it winterized and these kind people went above and beyond to make sure our boat is safe to store for the winter. They did an excellent job on the shrink wrapping and even put a door in it at no charge. They work hard on making sure their customers are satisfied. Great job and thank you again.

I am so happy I ran across this company. I am a first time boat owner and I guess bought a boat that had a few minor issues. I ran to Facebook marketplace to find someone to fix my boat. I found someone mobile to come out to take a look at my boat for $175 because it wouldn’t start. As soon as they came out we discovered the kill switch wasn’t hooked up and I basically wasted my money. I took the boat out on the water the next day and then my boat stopped accelerating. I called this same company in hopes they would be able to help me since I paid them $175 for no reason. They insisted they had to at least charge me $125 to come out again to look at the boat. They told me my boat needed a new intake shaft because the part was faulty and it was be a $1,000 repair. I didn’t trust this company so I started looking around and came across Rachel and John. Thank God I did!!!! I was skeptical to pay for another diagnostic but John spent a lot of time with me over the phone talking me through the issues I was having and said it didn’t sound like a shaft issue. I brought my boat to them. They realized that it wasn’t a shaft issue but something very minor and fixed it free of charge with the diagnostic.We even ran into this couple on the water a few days later. They were on standby ready to assist if we needed them. They called and checked in before they left the lake and called us before they made it home. You don’t find this type of service anymore. I’m so glad to have them.

I asked for a report on the condition of my boat motor and all. Now the boat ran pretty good and was fast. All fish finders worked as well as trolling motor. I was told a list of things that were wrong and was given a price to fix. I agreed to do it and paid up front back in December 2019. Got my boat back and trolling motor wouldnt work, and motor almost had no power. It starts up and sounds good. Took it back and now am told it needs new carburetors when I already paid for rebuild kits. They did fix some things but its May and there hasnt been a sense of urgency to get my boat done and I just feel Ive been burned. Never will pay up front again.

After being told by big boat dealers that they where five weeks out for new service. The hunt was on and after a few phone calls. Someone refered me to Dallas Boat Service, I called and spoke with Rachel who is super nice and very responsive to text and voicemails And before I knew it I was on my way to drop off the boat. I Was nervous if I would have the boat for Memorial Day weekend but John and his crew pulled it off In record time and I picked up the boat Friday afternoon and headed straight to the lake. Do not let this company work on your A/C! We paid good money for a brand new A/C for our Wellcraft, the first Tech installed duct with hose from a swimming pool hose, (no Kidding!) and wrapped the main duct all the way around the intake. Of course when it didnt work they sent out John. He comes out with his girlfriend and they stay for a few minutes long enough to tear out the pool duct and say they will come back and fix all the duct. They walked around my boat telling each other how much they love one another, you cant make this stuff up. Then when I called numerous times to see when John was going to come back, he said he was preparing an estimate. When I told him I would not pay another dime since the system was already paid for he said the unit was out of warranty. Scam! Now I have no choice but to hire someone else to clean up their mess. Unprofessional and crooks!I just spoke with Jammie and the first time you installed this A.C you had the intake coming from the engine bay, you can joke all you want but your company makes mistakes that could actually kill someone. Had Jammie not caught that mistake carbon monoxide would have entered the system directly and would have been fatal. I know your company is a hack and you dont want to fix your problems and do the right now, but everyone out there needs to know that your company is not quality and at worst, deadly. Stay away from this company and keep your family safe.

After calling all day to local marine service shops needing assistance with a Evinrude 115 e-tec oil pump delete all but told me e-tec was a taboo word and wouldn’t even touch it. However callin Dallas boat service they weren’t afraid of Evinrudes E-TEC immediately answering the lovely receptionist Rachel greeted me and transferred me to mr . Clark who helped guide me step by step what I needed to do even going as far to give me his number should I need assistance. That alone I would recommend 10/10 to anyone needing servicing

After being burned by 2 other mechanics, I did a ton of research, read Dallas Boat Services great reviews, and decided to give them a call. They were responsive, provided great communication, showed up when they said they would, was very thorough (finding issues we didnt know existed) and made only the necessary repairs. When the guy and his girl friend comes back they had been drinking. This company took on a boat that was gifted to me by my grandfather back in the mid 1993. It had not been registered or cranked since 2008. The reason being is I had left with my brother in 2001 and moved frequently including overseas until 2015. October 2018 my brother moved and asked me to retrieve the boat from N. Alabama, which I did. Upon arrival back in Dallas I began making calls to various mechanics, none of which would touch it due to its age. The boat is a 1966 Fiberglass V-hull with a 40 hp made by Sears. I wanted to see it run again due to my family history and memories as a child taking it out with Grandpa. As I called I came across Dallas Boat Service. I did not want to spend more than I thought the boat was worth and I knew parts would hard to impossible to come by. This company not only took on the job for a reasonable price, rebuilt multiple parts over the course of a few visits to my home, but were also transparent and friendly people. They maintained integrity and professionalism throughout the whole process, were able to answer my questions and were a pleasure to work with. The boat now cranks and is ready for an upcoming test run after 11 years in hibernation. I would like to publicly thank them for the restoration and could not be happier with the work done and the mechanics involved. I would recommend this company to anyone needing a boat mechanic. Dallas Boat Service does great work at the best prices! They came out to my location and did a fantastic job on my boat.They were clean, friendly, courteous, and professional. Told John what was going on with my outboard that had a bogging down issue and give them permission to take out on the lake and see for them selfs what what was going on with my motor. Then after he said he did many diagnostics. He said it was a wiring issue that was causing the problem. That just sound weird to me because the other mechanic that I had send it to never told me anything about that.? So that why I said are you sure. And he said ya. So after they told me it was ready I picked up my boat. Expecting to be fixed like he said. But once I took the boat out on the lake it was doing the same thing. So I told John that the issue is still there he had me meet him at the lake the following the day so he can check it out. Next thing you know John took the boat for a ride and adjust some things on the timer within about 30 mins he fix the problem. which was kinda bs since I told them to do That In the first place and he could’ve just fixed it like that before they give the boat back and had me waste my time. John calls me and gets mad because I said something about the first thing he supposedly fixed. Very unprofessional starts verbally attacking you. I was just mad and confused of what happened when I told them to take my boat out to the lake and test it. Then he told we that they did. and I was like apparently not ... so either they didn’t test it right?? or dump the motor in the water for a couple mins and then called it good or they are just lieing. So won’t recommend this guys and be careful before sending your boat with this guys. Make sure you don’t get money wasted and time.

Without hesitation this gentleman was willing to give me all kinds of troubleshooting methods to try, and did not even attempt to charge me a dime. I used Dallas Boat Service to run a diagnostic on my outboard engine. They were able to perform the service at my house while I was work which saved me a ton of time. I was able to meet them during my lunch break where they showed me exactly what was wrong with my engine and promptly sent me an estimate. First off these guys rock! My boat was having trouble idling and would keep stalling. Engine is a 1996 OMC 454EFI King Cobra which I’ve been told by local shops they won’t touch that engine. First being a DIY’er I changed out my IAC valve with no luck and decided I needed a shop to look into it thinking the problem could be more serious. Called a couple local shops and they were very short with me and didn’t seem professional. I luckily stumbled on Dallas Boat Service and gave them a call, they took their time explaining their rates and even got John the technician on the line. After discussing my idle issue with John I felt comfortable with his knowledge and scheduled a time drop my boat off with them. Within only a couple of days I got a text with videos of my problem and a phone call explaining everything. From there I received my quote for parts and labor and a short week for all my parts to come in and I was called to pick up my boat. Eager and very anxious I arrived to their shop to meet with John to go over everything and I actually got refunded money back! There were parts and labor on the quote that after pulling and inspecting they were in working order and did not need to be replaced. I was extremely shocked about their integrity with this as other shops would just throw in the parts and take your money. John and his team know what they are doing and will have my business again if ever needed. I couldn’t be happier with their customer service, speed and their knowledge to help get me and my family back on the water. Give these guys a call, you won’t regret it!

After promptly fitting us into his schedule, John came out to the marina to diagnose my boyfriend’s boat. Within minutes, John identified the issue. Not only did John corrected what was wrong with the boat, he also stuck around to double check AND triple check to make sure the boat continued to run smoothly. I was very impressed with John’s work ethics and greatly appreciated his honesty. He fixed what needed to be fixed, instead of trying to sell us on unnecessary things to make an extra buck. We will definitely continue to rely on John at Liquid Motor Sports for our future needs. I cant imagine going anywhere else!

Ended having a bad condenser so we went with a new system. They got us set up with a new smart remote controlled unit. Dallas Boat Service went the extra mile and does the job right. We needed someone special.. someone knowledgeable in a land boat, so to speak. Our batteries and wiring were not cutting it and no one knew how to work on a bike bar. These guys came out and within 1 hour had our systems diagnostics figured out to the problem. They knew their stuff and my business can continue without delay. I highly recommend these guys if you have any electrical issues, lighting issues, or even sound. 5 stars and two thumbs up!!!

I have a 38’ Wellcraft, on Lake Lewisville. I had a problem with my air conditioning units turning off, so I called Dallas Boat Service to figure out the problem. Dallas Boat Service, LLC. showed up promptly, professionally, and prepared. They found that the sea strainer baskets were clogged and needed to be serviced. They serviced what needed to be done, and now my A/C’s are working perfectly. Thanks guys for all your help!

This company is a scam. They broke my boat. We paid them around a thousand dollars for an oil change and having the prop painted. When I let them know that my boat will no longer accelerate, is smoking, and all around not running right they argued with me on the phone about it. They said theyd send someone out to look at it though. I stayed at home from work and my wife did also. They texted later saying they rang my door bell ( WHICH IS A LIE ) and they also stated they walked into my garage and took a look at my boat ( WHICH IS TRESSPASSING if I am not in there? Yet they said I wasnt at home? Interesting right? ) I left a negative yelp review after a few weeks of realizing these people arent going to do anything. They said in text to my wife if they ever come back theyll charge us since we didnt answer our door for their commute. Well what happens after they realize they have a negative yelp review? They sent us a 189 dollar charge for their visit. This is a total scam . Its a woman and two guys. Do not work with these people. Im contacting the better business bureau after this.

I want to let others know that it’s a refreshing change in the norm to find a boat service company that is reliable, fair and honest.I used a dealership service company for years and when I needed service it was always a massive wait, a huge expense and sloppy work.I used John this past season and as I told him and others he has my business and I’m a very loyal customer.He fixed my problem in two days, one of them was waiting for the part. John was able to troubleshoot the problem with my Bennington Pontoon boat. I have an outboard and found out the gears were grinder out. He completely rebuilt the lower unit. Great work at an affordable price. I’m out of Hidden Cove Marina, if you have a boat out there he should be the first guy you call.

Okay people I have used Mobile Mechanics for both marine and automobile repair. I have had nothing but absolute horrible customer service and a horrible job done each time Ive used them. Anytime I try to call them back they dont respond or answer any of my questions if I have problems. Not only that I understand that a mobile mechanic is somewhat limited on there punctuality due to the job previous to yours if they get caught up with an issue. But I dont agree with not showing up and not calling for a day and a half or two days and then when they do call try to reschedule! Absolutely not! I will tell you this I have worked on many occasions now with John over at liquid Motorsports and he is not just one of the best mechanics Ive ever met but is always willing to take the time and explain to you what the problems are so you dont feel like youre being blindsided into something. If there are ways he can save you money believe that he will! This guy is out doing a very very great job for a fair cost. Lets face it everyone has to eat too. Id rather pay somebody twice the amount and make sure the job is done correctly and in a timely manner. Fortunately John doesnt charge super super high rates just a fair honest cost for services rendered. I highly recommend liquid Motorsports if you use anyone else you will be sorry you did.

I has problem starting my boat and lives well not working properly. I called Dallas Boat Services to come to my house for a diagnostic test. After about an hour, Nate and John figures out everything that was wrong. A few day later, Nate came back with all the parts and got my boats run like new again. I would recommend them to everyone . They will be my boat’s mechanic for as long as I own a boat. Thank you Dallas Boat services.

Wow, we just got off the lake from testing the boat after Nate finished our tune up. our boat runs better than it ever has. John came out on Tuesday and quickly diagnosed what I thought was a major problem as a simple tune up. They had some problems finding my parts, but they came through. They were scheduled to be here at 2:00 today, but they showed up an hour early. We were on the lake by 4:30 . They are a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for... awesome job....

Very unprofessional! They came in the spring to get my boat winterized and did some other work. Well when I took a boat on the lake it didn’t run right, in fact it didn’t really run at all (it couldn’t get any speed). Contacted them about it (since they were the last people to come in contact with the boat, they called me back once, I missed a call and then we had a family emergency). So when I tried to contact them again to have them over to look at the boat , they wouldn’t respond until I mentioned BBB. So waited a week for them to come out and apparently they knocked, but nobody heard it in my house (I had 5 people in the house and a dog that always goes crazy, when someone at the door and he didn’t bark even once) and they called ONCE (I missed it as I am not always attached to the phone). You would think the professionals would call more than once or knock on the door loud enough where at least the dog could hear. Anyway haven’t heard from them since then ....

Works on all the big boats a master marine mechanic. John at Dallas Boat Service addressed all our concerns. We are very satisfied, I recommend him to anyone.
