Prior to my last few visits, I would have rated Goodson five stars. I have not purchased a car here but have experience with their service department working on my girlfriends ZDX. The facilities are top notch, and the customer service was usually fast and friendly until recently.She dropped her ZDX off for the 60K mile service, paid the upcharge for all recommended addons and got it back with a new rattle it didnt have before. When she brought it back, she was told it needed new struts and the timing was coincidental.Closer inspection revealed they had not put the front splash guards back together correctly and left out several retaining clips (see pics). When we took it in to show them, the service advisor was very dismissive and refused to take responsibility for the error but did take the care in and install all the missing clips.Upon pickup he again refused to accept any responsibility for the error and when I pressed him on it, he began yelling at me in the service drive through. The service manager came over and intervened and promised to work with us to resolve this issue to my girlfriends satisfaction, however after I emailed him the pictures showing the incomplete repair/service he also refused to take appropriate responsibility.

I have been dealing with Goodson Acura for over 30 years. They have always treated me well when purchasing and servicing my cars. My recent service experience validated that. I have a 14 year old Acura RL that needed work. I was treated as well as someone with a brand new car. Through an excellent service advisor, Jonathan Valdez, I was provided with a loaner car, and given superb service at a fair price. Khang and the service manager Bobby were knowledgeable and attentive to my concerns and requests. They stayed in constant communication with me while my car was in the shop. My 2016 MDX was purchased new in April 2015 from, and for the most part routinely serviced by, Goodson Acura. Over the years there have been a few times, due to convenience, it has been serviced at another Acura dealership closer to work/home. Acura service is always top-of-the-line, regardless of dealership location.There is just something about Goodson that sets it apart from the others. Everyone was friendly, helpful and seemed genuinely appreciative of my business. My questions were answered honestly and I was never made to feel stupid or dumb for asking. Even the cashiers were great.

This review is strictly towards the service job performed on my vehicle. Took my new MDX in for a maintenance A1 service. Once home, found oil leakage from the oil filter that was not tightened. Contacted management and never heard back after 72+ hours of waiting.Picture of oil leak and driveway before I cleaned it up .Yes, two different spots of oil patches, I wanted to make sure, it was from the car before taking it apart.Will be doing my own work on the vehicle from this point on.

Goodson Acura is a little bit hard to get to, but they serviced my car quickly and installed a new battery for about the same price as any other place would. But knowing that the Acura dealer installed it for me, I was assured that the right battery would be chosen, and any related computer reboots that they would have to do on my car would be done by people who know how to do it. My service agent Eric was knowledgeable and friendly.

My family and I walked in to see if there were any ILX models available to show and everyone there acted like we didn’t exist. No one offered to help or even greet us. They did, however, greet and assist the family that walked in right before us. Don’t come here if you’re expecting good customer service because they pick and choose who they want to help.

Im posting this on behalf of a friend who Ive witnessed the worse treatment Ive seen at a dealership in a long time. The ONLY reason why Im giving Goodson Acura 2 stars is because of the salesman Daniel. He performed his duties professionally with speed unlike I can say for the other staff.Please explain to me if you have your finances ready to go and all you need is the dealership to complete the deal it takes over 2 hours with no other customers insight to recognize that my time is valuable just like anyone else. Due to this treatment I advised my friend to cancel that draft and have his financial institution to create another draft and take that to another dealership who will accomodate and appreciate his business. Its too many dealerships out here to be treated like a second class citizen! If this is how you all treat a new perspective client, I WOULD never refer anyone to this location not even my worse enemy.

Well , my car is a 2020 Acura MDX and barely had 4000 mi on it when I initially began having trouble with it. It has been In the shop 4x repairing the same thing , only for the car to fail in all systems after about 50-100 miles of driving. When is a car a Lemon? Even the techs are baffled. But I will not drive it on the highway ever again as I’m sure it will fail again. I have supported the problems with videos and even 2 others have driven it and it happened. The dealership is courteous but has not offered any solutions as to getting me what I paid for. So ,no I probably will not EVER buy another one again.

Easy to use - I just pulled up in the service lane, I explained what I needed and then I relaxed in the waiting area for about an hour. They even replaced the battery on my fob.Waiting area had free drinks and snacks along with wifi, so I could keep working with minimal interruption.Nice work! I love Acura!

Goodson Acura always takes care of me when I have an issue with my car, an older Acura MDX. Haley is especially helpful, describing the issues in a way a car novice would understand and breaking down all the details of what needs to be taken care of right away and what can be put on hold. She even humors my dad when he wants more details about various issues or details!The service work is always speedy, the employees are always nice and helpful and I always leave feeling confident my car is back in 100-percent working order.

Bought a (new to me) CPO used Acura RDX last week. Tim was the salesman and from start to finish the entire transaction was seamless and easy as could be. There was no pressure, and Tim was helpful on every turn. As I was driving from Austin to Dallas, there was almost a glitch with the trade-in (check engine light came on 15 miles away from dealership! Horror!) but the deal still went through just as smoothly as if nothing had happened. Im thrilled with my RDX and would highly recommend Goodson Acura to anyone considering a new or used Acura purchase.

I bought this 2017 MDX with a 10 YEAR WARRANTY becoz we intend to keep this car forever. Specifically spent time negotiating this. Anyway, my wife can’t get the car to start at a gas station becoz brakes are jammed. Goodson first denies all knowledge of warranty. Then after several calls it turns out that it is a third party warranty which is not even in the system. Also this warranty does not cover towing. By this time we have caved in and called The ever reliable AAA to tow. Turns out that it is a BATTERY issue!! Huh. Never heard of a battery issue disabling a car’s ignition by jamming the brakes. Also, you guessed it right, bettery is NOT covered by this warranty (extended). Two stars only becoz I am relieved that the car is not a lemon. It does however show a design problem. First sign of battery running out should not be the brakes jamming on you. No warning indicator lights. Thought Honda made better cars. Can’t believe this is the first time this has happened.

On a trip to visit my family (from out of town), my oil change indicator was at 5%. I schedule an appt with Goodson Acura and requested they look at the breaks as they had been squeaking for years now. Jonathan, the service representative, informed me that it was time for a front break job and explained that the rotor designed had been changed to eliminate the squeaking. The last time I took my car to the dealership for service in the state I currently reside in, I asked them to listen for squeaking - they found nothing. I am so happy I was in Texas for this service, my breaks havent sounded this good since I bought the car.

Staff onsite was easy to work with. Dropped off my vehicle, even though my home was close to 20 miles away. I was hoping the interior clean was perfect the first time around, but they took the vehicle back without any complaints or issues and cleaned it a second time when I requested it. In my book, thats good customer service - hw you go about fixing things when things don’t go right the first time around.

I’ve been doing business with Goodson since the first car I purchased from them in 1996. I’ve only serviced my cars there since 2013, and while it has always been good it has jumped up a couple of levels since the arrival of Bobby Carroll. I’ve spent my career (36 years) in customer service for which I’ve always taken pride in my level of delivery. Having said that Mr.Carroll is as good at what he does as anyone I’ve ever observed. As well, Khang and Jonathon are exceptional and expert in their delivery and knowledge. I would rate the service department at Goodson Acura today at the top of the industry.

I started my day with the idea of car shopping. Didn’t know what I wanted, but was ready for an upgrade. My first stop was Land Rover and after looking in the window of seven cars I left because no one came out to assist me. My next stop was random because it was on my way to an area where there are a lot of car lots. I pulled into Goodson Acura and after looking at 3 cars, the salesman Courtney Colston approached to see if I and my friend, Shirley needed help. I wasn’t in the market for a particular car and I wasn’t looking to buy a car that day because I didn’t have the title to my car with me or the extra set of keys. Well, after testing driving the MDX, I left the lot with a brand new car. I wonder if that was the easiest sell Courtney had from a walk-in? Go visit Courtney at Goodson, he’s a great guy, very professional and knowledgeable about the Acura.You earned the 5th star for taking the time to say, thank you :)! Great customer service! I went in for an oil change and wasnt hassled for upgraded services. They finish the services in a timely manner while I was able to work on my computer in their very clean facility. We were asked to clear the room for their daily sanitation (which I didnt mind at all) while what looked to be a professional cleaning service came in with their Ghost Busters machines. Lol...Great experience. I will be back.

While traveling back home to Alabama, our check engine started flashing near Dallas. We contacted Goodson Acura and coordinated a AAA tow to their dealership. Immediately upon receiving the vehicle near the end of their day, they called me to discuss the issue experienced. The next morning they called with diagnosis and cost of repair which I approved. A short couple of hours later the repair was completed. Pick up was seamless and everyone I spoke with was helpful and courteous. Special thanks to Robert Patton (service writer) for excellent communication and quick service turnaround.
