I have never visited Southside Auto previously but my son found a truck he was interested in and asked that I take a look at it with him. Being a used car lot I was a bit on guard, but after meeting Larry and Mark I felt much more comfortable. The vehicles on their lot all look to be in good shape and are priced well. Larry and Mark were happy to and quick to put the vehicle up on the rack for us to take a look at it. They have three bays as they are also a full service center and will work on your vehicle if youve purchased it from them or not.Mark walked around beneath the vehicle with us answering questions and pointing things out. He also shared paperwork with us clearly stating what had been replaced on the truck by them and shared other notes they had on the vehicle. I was very impressed with their openness and honesty throughout the sale and they applied absolutely no pressure. They were very willing to listen to our concerns and ready to make things right. I would definitely recommend them to anyone I know looking for a car, truck or SUV priced under 10K and will also look to them in the future should I or other friends or family need service work. I have been waiting on writing a review....however, I bought a 2003 dodge durango from Southside auto mart 6 months ago and I literally had no problem with the vehicle whatsoever. The company is family owned so you get that family feel and the sales rep, Dominic, was awesome.

Good prices and great service! A couple days after taking my car home, I found out the gas tank was leaking. I called the dealership and they replaced the gas tank free of charge. They went out of their way to make sure I was happy with my purchase. Id highly recommend going to this dealership if youre looking for a car!

I bought a car from Southside Auto Mart 5 months ago, paid $4500 for it. The car is running perfect, with no problems at all. Our salesman was Dominic, he was great. I told him my price range and the type of car I was looking for, he had about 5 different cars for me to choose from. Every employee I met there was very nice and professional. I will car shop there again.

Good prices on vehicles. When a sign on a vehicle says, Make Offer. Got shot down quickly, claimed it was not going to make him money! I only asked for $300.00 less than he asked for vehicle. Kinda shady!

Absolutely horrible!I bought a car 8/31 and it has been back to them 3 times, and STILL does not work properly! I was told the day I bought it there had been a oil change and tires will be good for this season. 2 days after I bought it, something came loose on the right side, he claims they fixed it (I still have problems with that side). A couple weeks later, my check engine light came on and shortly after my car started making a very loud noise in the front of the car, and the oil light kept popping on as it was struggling to even drive back to my house. I made it home, called them, they told me to bring it in. I did RIGHT AWAY, praying it would make it down there. The next day I get a call stating it was the oil pump that was clogged so the engine wasnt getting any oil. But didnt he just do an oil change? I went to pick it up and he says, oh and the car really needed an oil change so we did that as well like he was doing me a favor?? I drove off the lot AGAIN with the check engine light on. Took it to get scanned, it showed up as a mass flow sensor, so I changed that. It still didnt take the light off. Put it on the scanner again and it was the solenoids. Went to fix that and because of how filthy and disgusting the area was (where they JUST LOOKED DAYS PRIOR), the solenoid broke off into the engine and now my car was not drivable. The place I took it to said I needed a whole new engine!!! I called Southside Auto and they said to get it down there. My last call to him was they got the solenoid out and they got it to pass emissions and what they THINK is wrong is something with the computer or wire going to the solenoid. The check engine light is STILL on today and now its the cam shaft? I havent heard from them to fix anything else and the fact they sold me an unsafe car for me and my kids just makes me so angry!

I love my car although 4 days after I bought it 5000 CASH it broke down and was I was charged (at south side auto mart) 350 to fix but we only paid 100.00 to fix it as we werent aware that we had to pay anything. They have good customer service and HOPEFULLY you know about cars before you buy them. My car is fantastic and has worked every since. They also offered us donuts which was pretty cool :0

I got an amazing deal on a car, but I didnt check to see if the fluids were topped off, I assumed they would be. I decided to get an oil change just to make sure it was fresh, and there was no coolant in the the tank!! I had been on a test drive in a car with almost no coolant! I dont know if it was an oversight, or if it was done on purpose to get me back in so they could change me for service, but Im really glad I got that oil change. Check the fluid levels before you take the car home!

This place doesn’t even deserve one star but that’s the lowest google will let me go. I bought a car 2 weeks ago and it’s already been to the mechanic 2 times! Check engine light went on on the ride home from the dealership the day that I bought it! I went back and they “fixed” the issue but then I immediately noticed more issues, so I returned on the same day and they said they didn’t find any issues and sent me on my way. Within 2 weeks there was an oil smell and burning rubber smell. I took it to a different, much more accredited mechanic who then informed me that an entirely different engine had been put in (which i was not told about), there was spray paint on the engine and everywhere around it (also attributing to the smell), there were multiple oil leaks (leaking directly onto the poorly welded exhaust)! I called asking for a refund where the manager then proceeded to show little knowledge of anything regarding the car, which was sold to me 2 weeks earlier with “no issues” and “clean.” He told me that if I didn’t want the car I would have to sell it to some other unlucky person, which I obviously won’t do. Don’t waste your money here, please. I’m out $3400 because of this. Please don’t waste your money here, it’s nothing but a scam.

Sorry these people are focused on making money not providing people good quality cars! I would rate this place zero stars if I could! They are scamming people and lying about issues with cars and allowing people to ride around and unsafe cars. When issues are brought forward they do not make an effort to try and fix them correctly. I would recommend this place to my worst enemy.

Definitely one of the best car lots/ auto shops around. Theyll fix your car 100% at an affordable price. They also have great customer service. I bought my car from here and dont have any regrets. They have Carfax on cars and do NOT sell you junk.

I would give this place zero stars if I could. They enjoy scamming people out of their money by selling cars that have significant problems within days of buying. On top of this, they do nothing to gain their customer’s satisfaction.

Id recommend them to people looking for a quality used vehicle.About a month after purchasing the cars, there were multiple problems with one of the cars. I brought it back and Mark and Dominic were very helpful and fixed everthing with no cost to me. The customer service was excellent.

I had a flat in the Pick N Save parking lot. I soon realized that I didnt have a jack or a lug wrench. I got a ride to Southside Auto Mart and they borrowed me a small floor jack and a lug wrench; they didnt even ask me for a deposit! I got the tire off and brought it to them to be repaired. They fixed it for me while I waited. It was Great Service at a Great Price. I definitely recommend this place for tires and service.

Dominic was excellent to work with. He didnt pressure us into buying a car and was very understanding of our situation. You wont get hounded or pressured like you would at the big dealerships. He was patient with us (we test drove 7 cars on the lot) and when we finally found the car we wanted, he was able to work with us on repairing a few issues and we got a price that worked for the both of us. He even threw in some gas, without us asking. Overall, it was one of the better car buying experiences Ive ever had. Southside Auto Mart will be the first place I look for future car purchases.

TOWED TO ANOTHER MECHANIC - 2 mechanics confirmed junkyard transmission-leaks all over-BLACK oil-JUNK ENGINE. They want us to buy another auction car - owner states BUYERS GUIDE IS JUST A PIECE OF PAPER. Car has since been sitting in their lot for weeks and they want us to buy another cheap auction car quoted by Owner and VP. BUYERS BEWARE1

Daughter took her car in for repairs. Control arm & bushings. They put the control arm on wrong and it was scrapping the fender making a noise when shed turn her steering wheel. Bushings were never replaced, old ones still there! They suck!! Rip offs! DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE FOR REPAIRS! I wouldnt buy a car from them either. Read all the reviews!!!!

All ive had to do is general maintenance such as oil changes and tires. I went back to them to get my tires replaced because i was treated so well the first time around. The service department was pleasant to deal with, and they had great deals on tires. 2 great experiences with southside auto is what prompted my review. I bought my 98 Altima about five or six months ago primarily for this trip and for being more reliable to others. As my previous 95 Altima I had been driving since I was 18. Im 31 almost 32. It was due time for an upgrade. Beautiful car inside and out for how old it was, Runs like a charm and great gas mileage. Southside was the first to find me financing even though my credit is extremely terrible. So yes If youre reading this I highly recommend them.

Awful customer service. They sell “used” cars filled with junkyard parts that are bound to fail at any moment. They spray paint the parts in the cars to make them look newer, which makes the car very susceptible to catching fire and blowing up. Thanks.
