This was the best experience I’ve ever had at auto care shop, Nick the manager was extremely nice, helpful, fast, and did a fantastic job for a great price! I would recommend Firestone in Cromwell above any other repair shop in the area. Thanks again to the Manager (Nick),and the mechanics that do such a good job on my car!

My husband went there to get his a/c looked at. They diagnosed and fixed it for almost 3 grand. A week later, a/c starts to go again and the Check Engine light comes on. We go back, asked about any kind of discount or anything they could do since this was clearly a mistake on their part. They checked it out and diagnosed it with another issue claiming it was a completely different part that needed to be fixed... if it were up to me I wouldve told them to take a hike. But it was a Friday night and my husband was in a tough spot so he had them fix it... charged him another whole full bill. These guys seem crooked.

I came in there when they were busy on a Friday afternoon, and the made time to make sure to get me on my way. I just left the shop and its 8:45. They stayed an hour and 45 minutes later for me. Highly impressed with the quality of service from them. Would definitely recommend

My significant other was returning from the workday to find a pretty heavy leak on his front passenger tire of his ‘13 Outback. Thankfully, we came down over here and Zack was able to help us last minute to get a tire and gave us a really good deal, I haven’t had very much luck at the Manchester location for my own personal vehicles. Highly, highly recommend I would recommend this location for the professionalism, and the at-home feel. No ones trying to work you over for your money, very understanding, super appreciative for their services ❤️

My experience at this Firestone deserves a 5 star rating. The associate that helped me name was Zack he’s amazing made my process smooth and easy I had no problems at all he’s very friendly and caring.

Alright service, I asked them to rotate my tires when I bought two new ones and they just put the new ones on the back when my car is FWD. it kind of took a longer than expected amount of time as well and there inability to do the last thing I asked them to do before I left made me question the integrity of everything they did to my car. Hopefully they’ll read this and realize that there mechanics laziness directly impacts there image to costumers.

The service they provide is excellent! It’s easy to make an appointment and provides convenient times as well as a good price. I would recommend this Firestone location to anyone with any automotive needs. The employees are great and assist you with any of your questions and or needs. Had a slow leak in a tire, brought into a Chevy dealership, they found nothing. Brought it here and they found it was because the rims on Chevy corrode where the tire seals and they fixed it for 20 bucks. You would think a Chevy dealership would know that. I go here all the time and love it here.

Fantastic and friendly staff, great service. Had a battery issue with a fleet vehicle and these guys were able to get it fixed FAST. They were able to fit the correct battery into the car (the previous one was wrong) The manager Jason is top notch employee and the facility was one of the cleanest Ive seen. Would absolutely recommend.

I dropped off my wheels to get the tires de-mounted. I received the wheels back with no valve stems. This has been the SECOND time this has happened and this will be the last time I go to Firestone. Normally I wouldnt make a big deal out of this however these are unique aftermarket wheels with aluminum valve caps that are not cheap. Not the type of professional service I would expect from a place like this.

This was my first time at Firestone and, though very busy, they were very personable, compassionate and helpful. Service was quick with the number of cars/appointments and all the staff kept with covid protocol. It didnt feel stressful sitting and waiting for a couple of hrs on their detailed look into my vehicle after having a small incident with a curb at the beginning of the first snow storm (the ice was hidden and these things do happen). This location is worth the wait, especially thanks to Jason (i think that was his name) who made great conversation while rushing about keeping what looked to be a good flow for the technicians. I got a nail in my tire at my job in Hartford discovered it when I got home I got to Firestone 1 hour before they closed, Zack was more then willing to help me out even on such short notice I would recommend Firestone to anyone!

Have always been friendly and easy to book appointments with, but a few months ago told me I have 3mm on my brake pads and probably need new ones soon. My dealership told me today I have 6-7mm and am fine. Obviously they cant be trusted, so no point in wasting your time here especially when theres multiple trustworthy shops within a 5 mile radius.

This Firestone is the best and the fastest service I have seen, The desk crew is professional as well as knowledgeable in their craft. The mechanics are top notch. Thanks for a great experience.

These guys are trustworthy and do amazing work I dont let anyone else do anything to my car except detail it.

I am so disgusted and disappointed with this location in particular because I went in for an emissions test with 2 days left before my registration expired so imagine the worry and rush I felt. I asked if I could get an emission test done with them and the gentleman I spoke with said the machine is down and then another chimed in stating that there is a state wide shut down of the emissions testing and that the dmv would give me an extra 90 day extension for the emissions needed for my registration. Again, let me be clear that I told them I was worried because my registration was due in 2 days and they said I shouldn’t worry because of the shutdown and the extension. I left feeling a little concerned and so I called another emissions locations and they confirmed that this is not the case! So I went to another place and was able to complete my emissions and register my car immediately. I will not go to this location for ANYTHING! This is absolutely disrespectful and negligent because has I not double checked elsewhere I’m sure a cop would have towed my car after my registration expired. HORRIBLE!

CAUTION !!!! These guys at Firestone in Cromwell are either ripoff artists or incompetent. Heres what happened to me.I called Firestone in Cromwell on 11/30/2020 and told them I had a slow leak in the power steering system of my Ford F150 . They told me to bring it in for a look..I dropped the truck off at about 2:45 PM They called me back at 5:00 PM and told me i needed a new rack and pinion, hoses and tie rod ends costing $2140.I am a backyard mechanic and had looked at the truck before I brought it in. I could see fluid oozing from around the power steering pump so I figured I would need a new pump and hoses (about $500 maybe ?). I did not trust their evaluation because there was no mention of a leaking pump. I told them not to do the work and I would pick the truck up in the morning .I picked the truck up the next morning and they charged me a $59 examination fee. I told them they never told me there was a diagnostic charge. The only place I ever paid a diagnostic charge was at a car dealer. Because they had not told me ahead of time, they only charged me $49.I paid their $49 misdiagnosis fee and left.To make a long story short, I took my truck to a reputable garage where they confirmed my own diagnosis and fixed it for about 1/4 of firestones estimate.I wonder what they would have ended up charging me when they ultimately would have had to add in a new power steering pump. I will never do business with them again. ......and PS guys, I will send an email to DMV Dealer Repair about this. Have a nice day.

I recently had 4tires installed. I was told I need front brake pads, brake fluid needs to be changed and a front alignment. I’ve been doing brakes since I was a kid. Front pads are only half worn. I recently replaced all the brake lines, rear calipers and rotors Along with new brake fluid 8 months ago.Buyer beware. As far as tires go.....So far good.

Probably a good shop for oil changes but dont get your alignment here. They are a toe and go service and do not do alignments right. Their counter guy will give you a hard time if you ask them to do it again and would rather give you a refund then do the alignment the correct way. That was my experience any way. If you dont want to was 2 days go some place that can and will do alignments correctly the first time.

At first when I started coming to the Cromwell location of Firestone I was weary and unsure of the service quality of a big chain store I felt was only good for tires. Over The years, I have been pleasantly surprised with the outstanding service, extreme level of professionalism and fair good prices of all their services -not just tires.Ive bought over 2 full sets of good quality tires with a great deal of savings and Ive also invested in the lifetime alignment package which is only about $50 more than the one-time alignment. Ive had my van aligned around 5 times now and it has paid for itself after the first alignment.The Service Writer/Manager JASON has outstanding customer service skills. Hes understanding to the customer needs ,hes patient and willing to help out the customer anyway he can.Whether it be breaking down intricate mechanic talk to the average person whos not mechanically inclined or admitting that they may not be the best place for a service your vehicle may need. Hes always smiling and very kind.I know Everytime I bring my van there Im getting good mechanic service , with none of the extra nickel&dime frills that most shops do to customers.That alone has gained my loyalty, for I have wasted so much money and time listening to the managers of other shops not realizing they are just salesmen and they dont care about their customers like Firestone does.I appreciate JASON and his whole crew at the Cromwell location.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!! I really wouldn’t recommend. Front desk associates make a simple situation blown out of proportion. Simply needed to change my tire that was bought brand NEW from firestone- included RECEIPT.. and still could not receive service. Just overall not professional.

....Dont ever go here.... They did an oil change in my V8 Jeep Grand Cherokee and didnt put any oil in. Causing my engine to seize based on the value of the engine theyre totally declining the claim. Eric the manager there is it total liar, and will say anything, He will lie right to your face and then changed his story to the exact opposite of what he said.There will deny anything they did wrong even if you can prove it, just based on the value of what it cost to repair it without even looking at it. Blanket blatant denial. When you call their corporate headquarters they claim to send out an impartial 3rd party who tells lies in the reports literally. Ive spent years going down there & tens of thousands of dollars, at this point I have no choice but to file a lawsuit against them because I have no other option. There will lie to you at Firestone, will not repair your vehicle properly and you will get screwed there is no process, to Have their corporation investigate, its all a farce. I reached out to their claims examiners many times there will not call you back. I raised concerns about their 3rd party investigator, who was a farce also and does not even perform any type of mechanical check his whole report is Laden with lies about my vehicle claiming he did tasks that he never even did, During the course of his investigation. Im taking a lot of valuable time away from my family and job to have to deal with this .....go somewhere else.... run in the other direction dont ever go to Firestone in Cromwell, or Any Firestone for that matter because theyre corporation are a bunch of liars who will cheat you.

Blew a tire on the highway while on an out of state trip, limped it in to firestone here my man behind the counter got me an instant rebate saved me 35$ had me back on the road in 45mins. no sweat!!! thanks guys ..... that sounded rehearsed, but they did do me right !!!

I havent been there in about 2 yrs because of horrible expensive service back then. Sunday, I got a flat tire and they were the only shop open in the local area.I will say with new management and great people, they now provide great service at a very good price!

Nick and the others there are not only consummate professionals, they are good people who take care of their customers. Faced with an out-of-town customer with a small emergency early on a Saturday morning, the folks at Firestone were responsive, accommodating, and incredibly helpful. They took care of our car while we continued on with our trip, and when we returned they had our car out and waiting for us before we even realized it! I cannot recommend this location enough, and as a family we are forever grateful for their customer service.

Great service, great workers, they had me in and out with a new tire on my car within 40 minutes. Just enough time drop the car off walk down the strip mall to get a bite to eat at the new pizza place or the burger place there or theres even some other type of Asian cuisine I believe or you can go to the diner once youre done eating you come back and pick your car up. Very convenient location great service!

I have to give this store a 5 star rating on their customer service. I am a service manager of an independently owned garage and their willingness to help me find a specific odd ball tire was awesome. At first they werent able to find it, but hung on to our number and called me back the next day to let me know they found it! The fact they took the extra time to put their hands on it and hold it for me is amazing and makes me a happy person. Thank you guys!

This store helped my GREATLY while I was heading on vacation. My sitter was using my car and got a flat tire. Will was extremely helpful on the phone with me so far away. The transaction went smoothly despite my not being there. I had no idea what to do because most of my family was on the vacation with me. Will put my mind at ease! Definitely recommend this store. I received a call that the car was ready to pick up. When I got here they stated they still had to put the tires on. I have been waiting over an hour for my keys. 10 minutes ago I saw the car leave the bay but no one has returned so that I can pay and leave. I understand busy, but I have had multiple issues between the Cromwell and Waterbury offices and will never come back to Firestone again. I highly recommend pep boys.

Lady got a flat on the highway and came in(without an appointment) and wanted to be seen ahead of everyone else. Like she owned the place or something. Said she worked with kids(feel sorry for them). Anyway, the guys at the shop did everything they could to help here and that wasnt good enough. Great job guys! Unfortunately you get people like that in retail. En route from NJ to Boston, my battery and brake lights come on. Brought the car here, and the nice staff got me in quickly. Was told there was no problem with the battery, it was probably just an error. Sent me on my way, no charge. 10 miles up the road my car dies, leaving me stranded in the interstate: alternator failed. Seems like they should have caught this. Would have saved me a tow. Nice staff, though.

This is one of the better Firestones in central CT. Probably because there is a corporate office next door. lol

I have been bringing all my cars there for the past 15 years and never had a problem But for some reason now I cant bring my car in for an oil change. They never seem to have any available appointments. it does not matter if its the week day or the weekend, nothing available. If this place is this busy then they need to think about going bigger. To drop off car it will take forever to get it done. I will be looking for some place new to bring my cars.

Got new wheels mounted that bought off amazon. The mounted and balanced them without a problem. A good place with friendly staff. Price seemed a little high but $120 bad for all 4.

I would not trust them for oil changes. I was on a trip and pulled in there because I was away from home and didnt want to go overdue. Between that oil change and now, Ive had to change the drain plug gasket because it was tightened so much the gasket deformed and leaked. Now I just measured the torque required to loosen the oil filter cap at 121 ft-lbs. The torque spec is stamped into the cap and is 25Nm(18.5ft-lbs) and two of the four tabs on the cap were broken off. They were not broken last time I changed my oil. I paid over $50 for that oil change, expect it to be done correctly.

Both times I brought my cars here were for an unexpected tire fixes. First time I waited 4.5 hours for a new tire, more recently it was for a quick plug. After already waiting over an hour, and watching people drive up to the bay for quick things (and getting immediate service), I asked how much longer the wait would be. They couldnt give me a rough estimate on time, so I decided to leave, and went across the street to Bishops auto and had it fixed in 5 min. Firestone does decent work, people are friendly and apologetic, the waiting area is ok, but without an appointment, this isnt the place to go.

The staff were friendly, kind, and explained each step without pretension. Estimates on time and money were correct. Service Manager Jason Kovolski went above and beyond for me so I could get back on the road and home to Philadelphia, Pa. I was stranded there with a busted rim and tire and had to stay the night. He drove to pick up a rim for me over an hour away so I could get home that day instead of having to stay a second night when nobody local had anything ready. I am incredibly grateful.

Nick got my service van in immediately and got me back on the road ASAP.

Ill start by saying my car is my pride and joy so taking it anywhere for repairs is hard for me. I needed a new tire for my 2007 lexus is250 and ended up getting all four replaced because I felt comfortable with the pricing firestone was able to give me. Jason took care of me beyond what was expected so he deserves credit for being a great service rep. Would definitely bring my car or recommend this shop to others.

So i called to see if they had my tire. Eric told they did. I then asked if there are busy, if i come over would they be able to change my tire that day. Eric said yes if you come right now. 10 minutes later i arrive at the location. Walk up to Eric, whos sitting in the front desk. I walk up and say hey i just call about the tires. He has the nerve to say no i did not. We proceed with basic info. What the tire size was, the cost. After all that eric asks what day is best. I told him i want it done today. Epically since i called and he told me yes itss be alright.

My car died and Jason was able to help me out right away and get me back on the road!

Horrible experience here and as a major account fleet driver they should count their blessings that I didnt raise the roof! The new management here is atrocious and I will not be returning.

My brake light was on. I went there check it and they checked told me two of my brake need to change that cost me $800.after they changed, the brake light is still on. I went back,they checked and told me the light is on because of the battery. However they told me i have to change the battry for the brake light. And i said no and when i pick up the car at night. My window is broken. I do not I just want share thid becasue this is so wired. Then i check the rating here. I think i found the answer. I will never come to this place anymore!

If you currently have gotten an alignment here, get your money back. They are over charging you! Alignments for a one time alignment right now at Firestone are $79.99, if you call all other locations they say $79.99. This location decided to charge me $114 with a $20 off coupon which brought it to $94 gee thanks...and when I questioned them, they said it must of been a Black Friday special.... so every other location is still doing Black Friday besides you? What a joke. It’s just a special in general EVERY OTHER Firestone is having apparently besides them. I never got an alignment paper afterwards so I have no idea what they did. They are scamming customers and being dishonest. I have a family member who works at a Firestone which is why I went in esp for the price of $79.99 plus their discount, which they didn’t even give me either. The area manager Roger avoids talking to customers (twice he has avoided me) and pawned it off on these guys to call me with an attitude (Nick) saying they would refund the difference. No, because you should of charged the correct amount to begin with, then proceed to say with an attitude again that I should take my alignment and go somewhere else, another Firestone location. Ok, no becuase I will not be doing business here anymore. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!

Was told I would not be charged to remove wheel locks while having tires mounted and balanced and after dropping off the car was told that I would in fact be charged despite being told previously otherwise. Unacceptable

Front desk manager tries his hardest to help the customers out with price and making sure things get done right.

They scratched my chrome wheels and wanted to charge me for rebalancing on tires that shook from new. Told them Ill never be back.

I was waving for help and your employee Jason Kovolski stopped and changed the tire for me. Gave me his card and told me to stop by and see him to fix the tire. I’ll be in this Sunday! Awful customer service and over priced. They tried to tell me it cost $174 to replace my two headlights. It was absolutely ridiculous I walked out. I brought my car down to another car shop in Middletown they replaced both headlights for $70 and while I was there I received an oil change, tire rotation, a free $25 gift card towards my next oil change and free roadside assistance for the next four months. Everything totaling $115. But firestone would only do my headlights for $174. Not only did I save $50 I also got a lot more done. Firestone is a scam artist. DO NOT GO HERE!
