I have worked in retail for about 4 to 5 years now and I have danced for about 8 years. The questions that I dreaded the most were regarding dance supplies and apparel until I walked into Posh Pirouettes. It appears to be a privately owned business, but I refer my customers to this store EVERY SINGLE TIME (I actually referred a father and his daughter here yesterday). I wish they would have a little more choices, however they always have my size and I go here first before I go to any other dance supply store. Not to mention the first time I walked in, skeptical, the lady made my experience enjoyable and I was immediately reassured.

The sales rep, Jan, is completely unqualified to be selling shoes to dancers of any kind, especially first time dancers. We will be taking our business elsewhere and recommend everyone else do the same.My daughter is in her freshman year of high school, and as a part of her dance class this year is required to have a leotard, tights, and ballet shoes.I know absolutely nothing about ballet and so I was relying on the assistance of the store personnel to purchase the right size and type of all her required equipment.This turned out to be my second mistake. My first was walking into this establishment. First Jan was dismissive of my requests for help, simply pointing at clothing racks and instructing me to find them on my own even after explaining that I know absolutely nothing about dance.Then after she finally found the time to devote more than 10 seconds of attention to us, she brought us some shoes and assured us that they were the proper type. Then after trying on a few pairs assured us that the shoes fit perfectly.Fast forward to when we get home. My wife, who was home sick, takes one look at our daughter in the shoes sold to us and immediately realizes that the shoes are far too big and far too wide to the point that our daughter could actually injure herself if she were to dance in them.My wife called to discuss returning the shoes and to ask why Jan would sell a potentially dangerous pair of shoes to a 14 year old girl who is just getting into dance. She was met with excuse after excuse by Jan resulting in Jan hanging up on my wife.We will be returning the shoes as soon as possible and will be taking our business elsewhere. Permanently. We recommend everyone else do the same.

Quaint and eventful. They have great decor choices

The lone sales person, Jan, fitted my daughter in ballet shoes that sit on her feet like sandwich bags. Inexcusable. She was rude to my husband when they were in the store, and hung up on me when I phoned in my complaint. Naturally we must return these ill fitting shoes, lest my daughter break an ankle- and we wont be doing further business with this store.

Nice shoes, but pricey.

Great customer service. They have lots of dance clothes and shoes in stock.

Store not open at 3:15 . Store hours state open until 4. Wont be coming back. Came all the way from Clinton.
