My experience shopping here is fine. You find reasonable prices for items that are sold here. However, I can agree with other customers whos reviews mention when selling an item or multiple, you recieve next to nothing for them. :( yikes! I felt ripped off, seriously! In response to some of these types of reviews made by customers on here sharing a similar experience. The owners response is not very professional. His response being they have bills. We as people do as well. We are selling items to you, doing business. As a person who has been in customer service over ten years, it displeased me to see the responses from the owner being so unprofessional. They will receive business as usual. But personally, I am disappointed. And of course. I can almost expect this review to receive a response like the others have.

Nicely maintained and displayed items, but the prices on furniture prices have increased considerably since my last visit. Wont be returning anytime soon.

I just arrived to pick up the dresser I purchased only to be told by the owner that one of the employees sold the dresser after I purchased it and he would give me a refund. I asked, how come I did not receive a courtesy call, my number is right there on your receipt. To where the owner stated, what would that have done, you still need to come in for your refund. When you purchase something from the store you sign a statement that you will pick it up within 20 days or it will go back on the floor to be resold (btw I was within my 20 days) No wonder why I did not get a phone call. What a scam. How many times has this owner double sold an item in hoping that the first owner wont come back and pick it up so he could double the profit???

The inventory is great, especially if you looking for some beautiful pictures for your home. The prices are very reasonable and Dave was extremely helpful. If you are looking for some unique pieces I would definitely recommend you go take a look.

Staff made a verbal error ( and that’s giving benefit of the doubt where maybe I shouldn’t ) quoting items to me. Instead of rationally discussing it with me the owner was stand-offish and rudely insistent it couldn’t have happened. I wasn’t asking for additional money just to give feedback about an experience that left bad taste in my mouth and the bottom line is he cut me off about four times and said he didn’t want to hear it. I said it on the phone and I’ll say it again now... F off.Update... funny how all the negative reviews I see are the owner quote unquote “apologizing” and then going on to say that isn’t how they do things and dismissing the reviewer or telling them they were misinformed. I wonder if an employee has ever made a mistake and had follow up other than to assure them the customer was wrong ? Lol lol

Vary helpful vary respectful and clean every time I’m in the store they give 100% of their time in trying to help finding items I’m looking. I pray this store never closes vary nice place to shop for hen you have a budget always fine it Extremely clean and they have all in there place!! Thank you see you soon!!!

Avid thrift shopper here, third time buyer from this franchise. Purchased five items from this establishment, and all five went awry.Fridge - broken. Coffee Maker - broken. Speakers - broken. Keyboards - broken AND wrong brand as displayed. Brought the items back and the only thing they would return was the keyboards.Their excuse; Sorry, sometimes the products get swapped around before they are purchased. Thats not a customers fault at all. Yet I was given a dirty look when I suggested the other products I had purchased might not work either. Almost as if they KNEW they were selling damaged goods. Curious.Two wonderful and helpful employees had left due to less than stellar management within the time of my three visits. I can see why. Do not shop here, and if you do, be extremely aware of what you purchase. Buyer Beware.

Go on a treasure hunt at New Uses and you may hit the jackpot! Great selection of gently-used high-quality items. New items come every day, so plan on returning often. Whenever I’m in town, my daughter and I make it a point to visit. New Uses has helped her furnish her home with quality items at a fraction of what you’d pay elsewhere!!!!

Dont bother bringing good furniture here they really wont pay you much for your items. We felt completely ripped off. Gave us 4.00 for something that we realized the next day was for sale priced at 34.00 dollars...and so on and so on🤔 Live and learn I guess. Better off at a consignment shop for better furniture and items. Ok...2 stars are for the chance if youre interested in buying, you might get a good deal ...its a 50/50 chance.

The owners Dave and Tina are great people. Dave went through each aisle with me personally and helped me furnish my entire apartment. He helped me out with some extraordinary deals and even hooked me up with a pair of sunglasses after I complimented his. At the end of the shopping spree Tina rang me up and was extremely polite. Dave and Malik even helped me bring everything into my car which was really nice because some of it was really heavy. When I got home and set up all my new furniture and decor I couldnt believe how great my place looked. They get some really cool things at the store and Dave really knows how to put together a beautiful home. As I continue settling into my place I will definitely be coming back to catch some more deals and the hospitality of new uses. Couldnt recommend more.

So my husband and I absolutely use to love this place! We sold our vacuum cleaner to them and we got like $60 for it. We use to shop here regularly and would get awesome deals!So today my husband called to see if they would except our two air conditioning units. They told us yes! So we pulled out our units, cleaned them, and put them in our car. We drove the 10 min to get there, unloaded our units in a car and rolled them in the store. We brought them up to the cashier and guess what?! He told us we are holding off on buying air conditioning units till January. My husband and I laughed and walked out.We have decided this place doesn’t deserve our business anymore. I plan on reaching out to the store manager, maybe, if I can ever reach them. Have tried multiple times and nothing.

Edit: this used to be a four star review. However, the price stickers currently utilitized need to be addressed. They do not come off the product easily, leaving residue and grime. Today, two priceline eggs I had purchased were stripped of paint where the stickers had been posted. Ill revert the review to its original four stars once the stickers problem has been addressed.If youre looking for unique and/or vintage items for your space, definitely peruse this store. I have had a lot of fun going down each and every aisle.I do think that about 20% of their inventory is about 20% overpriced. Additionally, Ive never had stellar interactions with the employees - they all seem pretty tired of the is this the lowest you can go on this item question.In sum, this place is great if youre looking for a custom or unique piece. However, Ive learned to expect to pay full price.

I love this resale shop. ❤ I never come home empty-handed. Theres so much to see in every department. Its very well organized. Prices may be higher than some thrift shops, but the quality is higher, too. 👍

They were nice people, but I brought in New things, expensive home items, picture frames, initial plates, jewelery box, etc. leftover from our on line store. $10 for everything is what they wanted to give. Items were still in boxes, never used. I called 2 hours later to tell them to put two of my things on the side. I would take them back and pick up.The girl working said she looked, but the must have sold, which is highly unlikely. I dont feel they are honest. I tried them for the first time.

I have been there many times and bought many stuff and when I got home I painted it and in my living room. they were nice and I have never had a problem. Right now my in my living room a coffee table and two side tables and a char for my computer

Do not go here to sell items. They will low ball anything you bring in.! Your better off selling your items on Facebook or offer up online.

I am so glad I came in. I saw a table on facebook and was able to come to grab it. One of the guys (and a girl) helped me put it in the car and it looks awesome in my new place. Next up - new tv!

The place is cool to find good deals period!!!! You take nice used stuff there, they will give you nothing for it period!!!! They buy your stuff for pennys on the dollar, and sell it for full retake price, basically theyll ripe you off

My first experience here was a nightmare to say the least. I got there around the time that they were opening I saw one at the employees Park in the spot closest to the store which should be available for customers bringing in their stuff. After seeing her park there I noticed her throwing trash out of her car into the parking lot. Then when I went inside the employees seems like they did not want to be working there. Employees have attitudes, and very unfriendly to say the least. Also very slow, it took him over 15 minutes to look up three items. I understand I brought in several items that would take a while, but literally three items took 15 minutes.. I was the first person to walk in the door when they opened but yet they were taking care of other people before me. People were bringing their stuff in and he would stop working on mine to take care of other customers, not just writing tickets but doing the whole process and they were leaving before my stuff was being looked at. They make you sign a piece of paper saying that if they damage something its not their fault... But when Im in there I noticed the manager kicking around somebody elses box of stuff. Very unprofessional and will not be back. Not only that but it states that youll get 28 to 50% of what they will sell it for.. this is a lie..

***BEWARE!!! BED BUGS!!!***Purchased items from this store which were infested with BED BUGS!!! My family and small children were bitten relentlessly! Something needs to be done about this!! I should SUE!!!!!!! They need to be shut down until they can ensure public safety with their business!!!

Quick place to get a few bucks for your used items that would otherwise be tossed or donated. I also shop here for dishes and small kitchen appliances. Perfect place to browse for wall art and knick knacks.

Great place to get good deals . Although 2 girls was fighting in the store and was not customers , police got called by one girl . I would expect the employees to talk to the police and have both arrested for disorderly conduct or at least ask then to leave the store . Was very awkward feeling.

Prices are a little high by thrift store standards but they do have a good selection. The store is also well kept and orgsnized and the employees are very helpful.

New Uses is a great way to sell your gently used goods and give them a new home with someone else at the same time!

I just learned about new uses in the last year. Im currently selling 2 homes and moving so have visited this location a few times and have worked w 3 different employees..one even helped me unload and carry things in. they were all friendly and pretty quick..under half hour. Only thing i wish is that someone had mentioned the rewards program when i started coming in...it was only first mentioned to me the other day so Ive missed out on probably 75 worth of buys and sales. Also the sale stickers are confusing because the color and coordinating %off listed near merchandise is usually diff than the printed list near the register. All in all..love this place

Very happy with what we got for the stuff we brought. The people at this location could not be any nicer. We had 20 items and it only took 17 mins. Dont go to the one in Orland Park that young woman was rude and very condescending. No one was in front of us there either had only 8 items and it took over 30 mins.

I would give them no stars if i could the guys were so cranky and ignorant i brought furniture and had him come to the truck to look before we brought it in he told me yes we would take it and said i would get 20 to 30 dollars then i came back a half hour later and told me that he would only give me 7 dollars for it because he thought it was different when he already looked at it. I will deffinetly not be coming back here.

I no longer recommend this place I bought some armchairs were infested with cockroaches and they dont want to take charge now they expanded in my house and The owner dont want to take responsibility yet I still have to pay a truck again to return their things is not fair😡😡
