Barry just did some work on my mac to replace a hard drive and hard drive connection. When he realized it would take a bit longer than he originally quoted, he was sure to call me to communicate the problem and how much longer it would be. He was very kind and walked me through everything he did when I went to pick it up, and encouraged me to call him if I ran into any problems or had questions. The pricing was also very reasonable. His two shop cats are adorable too!

Stopped by back in February.......my mid 2012 macbook gave up on me so I bought a 2020 macbook and was afraid I would lose all the data on my mid 2012 (never made a back up and the computer was at a complete restart state).....Apple store was very unhelpful. Luckily, at UNICOM they were able to complete a data migration from my 2012 to the 2020 macbook....despite the constant restart state the 2012 macbook was in. Thanks again!

I bought my first Mac here a few years ago and have had 0 issues with it. He is very friendly and so are the two shop cats! 😺The one time I did drop my Mac, he was able to fix it the next day for next to nothing. The last time I went to the Apple Store I had to wait 3 hours just to talk to someone. I definitely recommend Unicom to anyone looking to buy or fix a Mac!

I bought an older laptop here a few months ago, and have had no problems with it at all. He held the computer for me, since I was unable to get to the location before he closed the day I called.Im not that knowledgeable about apple computers, and he was very courteous and explained the differences between the models that he had in stock. If I ever need any work done, Ill definitely bring it back to him.Plus, his cat was very friendly and lovable.

Unfortunately, I did not have a good experience with this supplier. The person I spoke to did not acknowledge my presence. He was extremely rude and unfriendly. He proceeded to berate me for not knowing the shops policies on sales, and when I asked questions he dismissed me. I was a tourist at the time, and I was appalled at how poorly I was treated. Great customer service goes a long way.

Highly recommend UNICOM for anyone looking for a quality refurbished Mac or Apple Mac service. Barry has some great, powerful computers at really good prices. My bandmate and I just picked up a Mac Pro from Barry for $185--its super quick and perfect for our recording studio. Will definitely be back! Barry is genuinely nice--as are his two friendly cats that roam the store!

Barry is rude. Dealt with him a few times past few times years. Always has a big attitude problem unless you walk in waving cash and know exactly what you want. Has no patience for customer service. Finally told him to screw and will use someone else.Update: once i said you are rude and hung up with him he called back to tell me he wasnt rude at which point i saod dont call me i dont want your service and yes then called him an a hol. Because he is one. He could have let me just take my business elsewhere but went out of his way to call me back i also told him worse than called him that on the second call he placed. And i have bought 2 imacs from the guy so whatever. Wouldnt have wasted my time on this review had he not called back to argue ya freak

The owner, Barry, is very rude and unprofessional. My wife emailed him last week inquiring about a Mac computer that he had listed via Craigslist. She was looking for a model a year newer than the one he had advertised and he stated that he didnt have any. She asked if he could keep her contact information on file in case he ran into such a model. Instead he wrote a very curt and rude email saying, I can’t quite figure why you are obsessed with a 2010. The 2009 I have is running Yosemite, will be upgradeable to El Capitan and support 32Gb of RAM. What else do you need? When I wrote him stating how rude and unprofessional he was, he lied to the state of events that happened, even going so far as saying that he unlisted the ad and lost business for a day. Well, here we are a week later and the computer is still listed. He would have sold the computer by now to us if he had taken the time to be professional and kind.UPDATE:After I left this negative review, Barry continued to email me to say that my wife outright lied to him plain and simple. Mind you, my wife NEVER said she was going to come down to buy the machine, only that she was expressing an interest but only in a model newer than the one listed. There was never a contract or promise to buy anything. This happens all the time on Craigslist folks, people express interest and disinterest every day. Thats the nature of the fickle beast, people change their minds all the time. Barry apparently doesnt understand this and continued to insist that he took the ad down but that never happened because my wife checked and it was clearly there. Next he proceeds to tell me that he wants my name, address, and lawyers name because he is going to sue me for slander (because I left a negative review). Additionally, I never used vulgar language in my correspondence with Barry. I called bullshit on his taking down the ad and later called him a crybaby when he said he was going to sue me (laughable). Then he called me a jackass. There you go folks. Cant make this stuff up. The emails are proof of our interaction and it clearly starts off with my wife expressing an interest in the machine, nothing else. His version of events are misconstrued. The 1 star in this review is too good for him. Avoid this unprofessional and rude man. He clearly needs lessons in customer service. Buy your used Macs elsewhere.
