Alot of vintage stuff here including albums and toys. The employees there now are a tad bit friendlier then the staff he had years ago that didnt want to help you or make sales. I remember asking a young man if he had a certain game cartridge. The kid was going to check the stuff they had in back. Thats when another older gentleman told me, No. Hes too busy. He has too much to do. So much for customer service and making a sale. I only stop here once in a blue moon now.

Its the kind of place that makes you a regular.The prices are sweet. They have cool comics, used X-Box games (in surprisingly good condition), DVDs and toys that will take you back.I enjoy every visit and its always worth the trip. ✌️ 🤓✨

I personally loved the comic selection when I visited the store, organized well. But the customer service, absolutely horrible. I’m not sure if it’s because I’m not a local or because he doesn’t know me well, but I’ve been there plenty of times for him to remember my face and I gave him my name already. Gives great, warm welcomes to a majority of the people I see week after week, but when it comes to me making my purchase, he doesn’t say a word. Just the price and “your all set.” I’ve never subscribed there, but usually most comic shops would realize this and show you the value in be a regular customer with them, he doesn’t care. You can feel the enthusiasm when he speaks to other customers, but dies when I start to speak with him. THE WORST PART is he doesn’t even make it worth shopping there, if your looking for incentive variants or some ratio variants, he checks eBay in front of you and charges you those SAME prices, without considering the fact that we save him ebay fee’s, time, and shipping cost. Whats the point in having a local comic shop if you cant find competitive deals. Instead of making it a good deal to keep the customer and still make money for his store, he says “I can’t sell it for less than what everyone else sells it for on eBay”. Like wow, so much for a local COMIC shop, more like your local eBay retailer shop. He must look at the extra profit not made was a loss, when in actuality it far from a loss; you already profited off the sale alone and you gain more and more loyalty just by providing great deals for those people that support you on comic release dates. Very very disappointing, I’m not saying I deserve any special treatment but man, at least treat everyone the same. And for those books that you know you have wiggle room to satisfy your customer, you should consider that customer is face to face and we help support your business to keep it running, eBay isn’t a comic directory, it’s an AFTER MARKET PLATFORM. So be considerate to the people who actually shop there PHYSICALLY, week after week. I can go on and on, but the fact that I had to go out my way to voice this publicly is disappointing; Wish I didn’t have to voice something like this for a shop I actually wanted to greatly support.*UPDATE TO REPLY*Maybe if you built a relationship and got to know me as your customer, you would know that I am not a reseller. All my comics are for my own personal collection. I never once stated I can’t lose money from what I buy from your store. I said I’ve lost money buying hiked up price comics from you, when I could’ve waiting and bought it cheaper on eBay. I didn’t ask for cover prices or any insane markdown. I simply asked for a nice price just to see your response. And you stood firm on your price, which is fine, you can do that. But don’t be so quick to “Judge a book by its cover” when you haven’t made the efforts in getting to know me personally. I’ve paid the prices you’ve asked plenty of times, my dissatisfaction is in the way you treat me as a customer, your remarks speak clearly for itself, you treated me unfairly because you THOUGHT I was a reseller. Sad to see someone that’s successful like yourself can’t realize your wrong doings and realizing your actions in judging a customer without building value. I guess I don’t fit the “Profile” of being a comic collector. Sorry I’m not a life long collector, not everyone is introduced to the community at the same age. I actually liked shopping in your store, I was a true supporter.

Time Capsule is true to its name. While it offers vintage toys still in the box and vintage comics, they offer all the new release comics. My boyfriend is a big fan of the store. They do fair trades for his impeccable clean collection that he used gloves to read with & gave a fair offer considering they have to make a $ too. Employees are knowledgeable of their products and extremely kind. I never feel overcharged here. Thank God for gift cards they offer because I dont know what to choose for my boyfriend!

This is an amazing store—an amazing experience! I wish I had more time to peruse the back-issue bins, which were filled with a multitude of reasonably priced books. The staff was super friendly, and I’ll be back the next time I’m in Rhode Island. Highly recommended!

Just wanted to comment on the one star review left by a previous customer that I think was not warranted. I was present and witnessed the entire transaction between the owner (Rob) and said customer (Steven). The customer inquired and wanted a better discount on the current ratio variants and was unhappy that the owner declined and was selling the books at FMV (fair market value). The customer also stated he took a loss in profits on the variants he bought the week before. The owner stated that he sells all new weekly variants at the standard market rate to all his customers and if the prices goes down a week later he would charge so accordingly. He also reminded the customer that variant book market is volatile and prices fluctuate constantly and there are no guarantees that one will make a profit off the books especially if the intention is going to sell it in the secondary market such as ebay. Long story short the owner was fair and amicable to all his customers and even to Steven despite his unpleasant demeanor. The Time Capsule is by far one of the gems in RI (NEW ENGLAND). Large selection and best prices to shop for comic books, records, toys and even hang out to have a couple of laughs with other collectors in the community. Rob has longevity in the business because he is fair and treats all people with respect. * * * * *

Everyone there is VERY friendly. But be warned. They absolutely don’t quality check their games. They do offer a two day return policy. But frankly we live too far to make it worth it. Not a single game we got from there worked. Every single one was completely defective. If you’re going for comics I haven’t seen a better organized collection at that size. But frankly stay FAR away from ANYTHING game related unless you want to spend the time to go back and return them. One of their games froze so bad it completely rebooted my ps3 lmao. Like I said. Wonderfully kind people. They DO have a return policy. But frankly I’ll never be returning for games again. There’s no way I could trust them to work from here.

Great little comic book, vinyl, and vintage toy store. Tons of games for older consoles, like SNES and even Intellivision, and stacks of records and vintage comics! Was able to get a reissue G1 transformer for a super reasonable price!

This shop used to be my go to. Records were always clean and priced fairly. Now a days everything is priced too high. I don’t think whoever prices the records takes pressing and condition into consideration. I would guess there’s someone new managing the records.Edit in response: You’re trying to charge people $175 for an Eric Dolphy Blue Note 1970s reissue, it’s about a $20-$40 record online...that’s not fair pricing, that’s trying to take advantage of people.

I went there for nothing the guy on the phone never said that my PS4 and PS 3 games he whould not buy because they were all sports games but he never said that in the phone if he had said that I whould have never drove there for nothing

I could get lost in here. Also love browsing the aisles and finding gems with my bf. He has found so many comics here he could find no where else- and for a good price to boot. I personally love manga and unfortunately the manga section is a little sad here but I get it.. that’s not their thing.

Ill start by saying that I am not a comic book or game collector, I am strictly a record enthusiast. I sometimes have very low expectations for stores that specialize in something other than vinyl, when Im searching for vinyl. I felt the same way here, a little unsure is a would be impressed, but I was completely wrong! This place is amazing! So many great records, for great prices, and in great condition! Very organized as well. Definitely make a stop here if you like collecting records!

Always find something good to treat myself.Today was an older Spectre graphic novel and albums Mott the Hopple, Alice Cooper, & 5 more..all reasonably priced...Only once did I leave here empty handed out of at least 60-70 visits!!

Everything is VERY reasonably priced. Theyve got a good selection of a bit of everything....video games (classic 70s to modern), comics, toys, vinyl records. I found this place in a Google vinyl records search. I walked out with 6 classic 70s rock records that were very clean and not a scratch on any of them for a mere $3 each. They play PERFECT. As far a records go, theyve got a large and impressive widespread selection that covers all genres. Highly recommend as 10 inch vinyl are priced at $3 each unless otherwise noted.

Lots of used records and some only for a dollar.Store clerk in back (near records) not helpful.Records are in bins and rows that are inaccessible floor level for handicapped or with bad backs. I advise not to attempt to sell your records here unless you have mint rock and roll.Front clerk known to pass over pop and other vocalist titles...what a shame as thats what I buy.

Ive been going to this store consistently for a very long time now and I can not recommend it enough staff is always happy to help you out with anything you need help you look for anything you need and I always seem to walk out with something even if I went in to just browse. Definitely worth stopping by and having a look around.

Every time I go in Im greeted very friendly and could spend a couple of hours looking around, theres comic books as soon as you walk in and vinyl records in the next room plus cds , dvds . I recommend this store to everyone I know who is a collector and the prices are pretty good also.

The prices on the games are usually in the ballpark. The selection can be hit or miss but most of the time its fine.

Buying, selling, and trading are equally enjoyable. They have every comic you want including ones you didnt know you wanted. I liked their selection....so why 1 star? Well, I Managed to enter the store, walk the entire store, stand in front of an associate sitting at a computer for several minutes, and have another associate walk by me without anyone acknowledging me. I didnt get a single second of eye contact, a simple hello, or a have any questions?. That is pretty impressive. Completely ignored. I was interested in some vinyls and a game or two in the glass cases, but apparently they must have been just too busy to help a customer like me! I walked out without spending a dime. Felt pretty unwelcome. Too bad.... I hope others have better experiences than I did.

Good prices overall but definitely needs a better presentation. The store just looks dirty. It also doesnt have a large selection of figures.

I could wander around in here for hours . I was talking to one of the employees about the hand painted busts they had in the case. These busts are so intriguing. But then again so are a lot of the things in this place. Its a really large space. There are two rooms plus the place next door. Games, comics, collectibles GALORE!!!! If any of that sounds like your thing..check this place out for sure !! Also the employees are really nice and definitely know what they are talking about . Very reasonable on price as well. Way to go time capsule!!!

If your a Vinyl lover, you have to visit this gold mine of a store. Whether you love Rock, Jazz, your going to love this store. The owners informed me that every Friday they rotate over 1,000 albums, so every time you go there will be something different. The albums there are in brand new condition, you will be absolutely astonished by these albums, some over 30byears old!! Trust me people visit this place, youll love it.

I live more than an hour away from this store, but was on a road trip and stopped by there. Incredible store, great selection of back issues, great customer service, and not overpriced. Ive been to a bunch of stores in New England but it was my first trip to Rhode Island and this store is Top 3, if not top, by far.

Store is split into three selections: comics, music, and video games. Each section has its own room. Comics are the main focus and the two other rooms dont get as much attention. Vinyl prices are reasonable, but most of the retro video game prices are a little high. Staff are polite and helpful

Most comic book shops to me are pretty much the same, this one included. if you like them youll like this one. one thing that stands out for them though is next door is their discount shop, where they get rid of everything they dont want anymore for super cheap

This is a great comic and collectibles store. Comic books and records are their forte, which there is a massive quantity of both old and new. Theres a smaller selection of figurines, Magic: The Gathering cards, and older video games and accessories.

One of my favorite stores in my area. Have tons of comics and retro games, including a huge selection of vinyl records and old school video games like Nintendo 64 and Sega Genisis. I bought an N64 from there and still play it and occasionally pop in to see if they have any new games. Great place.

Loved going here bought a lot of comics, but never games. So when I was looking for older games for my 360 my son’s who do buy games and gameing systems from them told me to go there. So I decided to get some games. I found two games for my 360 and two were for an older Xbox. I asked the clerk if I could play them on my 360 and the clerk told me that I should be able to play them to my 360 and if not I can return them for store credit. I purchased the games, the 360 worked but I couldn’t play the Xbox games on my 360. So I went back and I talked to the clerk who sold me the games and I explained to him the situation and he remembered me and sent me to another clerk at the register. Since the clerk at the register was busy I figured I look and see if I could find some comics that I could purchase. When I reached the register I was told that he couldn’t do anything for me but if I wanted to come back tomorrow and talk to the owner he might be able to do something. I said thank you left the comics that I was going to purchase on the counter and left. I understand that it’s a small business and ever dollar can make or break you and that I didn’t have my original receipt and it was over the allowed time for returns (which I wasn’t aware of). But both games came out to $5 and I just wanted store credit. It’s simply not worth making a trip for something the clerk could of handled. 2 weeks ago when I went looking for a mic I was told about a store in W. Warwick. So I went and I bought $40 worth of games from Reality A Games and I had some problems with some of those games as well but when I went and talked to the clerk there. He was more than happy to exchange them or give me store credit. Too bad they don’t sell comics because for $5 The Time Capsile lost me as a customer. I hope that the $5 was worth it.

I cant say enough nice things about this place. I used to frequent their Seekonk location in my teens. When I drove by I instantly recognized their logo and stopped in.The Time Capsule embodies pure enthusiasm. Where else can you spend an entire Sunday afternoon sitting on a carpet with your family crate digging for records and comics?
