I absolutely adore locally owned bookstores, and the staff will warmly welcome you into a world of gifts and books! A beautiful Dutch company of fine artists produced this lovely magnetic bookmark! It now keeps my place for Alice Hoffman’s Magic Lessons which the fine people at the book shop we’re lovely enough to set aside for me!

I love this store so much. Books, jewelry, games, dishware, childrens toys, assorted knick knacks, cards/stationary. All very high quality items. Sad the location near me is being consolidated, but I will definitely visit the one in Barrington in the future!

I adore Barrington book store. Its so cozy inside. They have a great variety of books, and if they dont have what youre looking for, theyll order it for you. The employees are very friendly. Also on Friday mornings they have a small event for children!

Great local shop! Not only do they have a good selection of books they also have great gifts and household items. Would recommend stopping here to support local before checking out the chain shops in this plaza.

Store looks nice. Im sure the employees are nice.But I called to see if they had Dune by Frank Herbert. They said yes on the phone. The woman I spoke to even said she picked it up herself.I get there and they have every other Dune book. All the sequels and such. But not the the original, AKA the one I asked for.Just a little ridiculous.

An associate asked if I needed help...I was about to give my standard, No thanks, just browsing, but she seemed sincere, so I took a chance and explained what I was looking for. WOW am I glad I did. The associate knew exactly what I was looking for (a STEM toy/game for a 3 yr old) and even took one of the items they were recommending from the back room to show me how it worked. I was super impressed at their enthusiasm and knowledge about the product.

Store is not set up to have wheel chair customers. Store did not have any romance books or paranormal romance books. I will not be returning.

Its a nice book store but they have a limited amount of books. I would call first if your in a rush before going in. They can order you a book if needed. The kid section is cool.

We absolutely love Barrington Books! They have something for everyone. Our children love to play & pick out new books. They also have a very eclectic boutique!

Barrington Books is one of my favorite local small businesses. My family and I love to go in just to look around or go to visit for their special events. It has become my go-to place to buy gifts for my children and their friends. They have a great selection of books, toys and games for kids. The staff is super friendly and helpful. And the fact that they gift wrap is an extra bonus!!!!

This is such a nice little bookstore. The staff are approachable and always have good recommendations for books based on what you like. But they arent super pushy and leave you alone to browse and peruse if you want.The place also has a GIANT section of fancy/artsy/sciencey learning games and toys for kids. Really high quality kids stuff like games and puzzles and nice stuffed animals and EXCELLENT science books and gorgeous illustrated picture books.They also have lots of cute little presents for adults like interesting funky jewelry and knitted goods.They have a nice sale section of older slightly damaged books so you can buy high quality books at a discount. I got an excellent science learning book for kids on plastic ocean pollution which is such an obscure but fascinating science topic.They also give a nice teacher discount!

Interesting store, they have books, CD and LP, something I havent seen in years. Friendly staff and great selection of books. Glad to see stores like that come back. I will be back for more.

Loved this small little book and record shop. I came in and two guys were playing instruments which made me love it even more. I proceeded to look through records (which are seriously so cheap) and the staff was so helpful and helped me find whatever record I was looking for. They also have small little Knick knack and toys for kids in the back. It’s a great place to find an interesting gift.

Went to Garden City location. Very nice merchandise, much more diverse than I expected. However, I think it is too crowded and not very well laid out. I did make a purchase and the staff was great.

Great bookstore with an excellent selection. The shelves are tidy and well-curated, and its a comfortable store to just wander around in. Of particular note are their non-book items - among other things, they sell board games, kids science kits, LPs, and funny socks.
