Erce (R-Jay) was very nice and knowledgeable. I had an idea of what qualities I wanted (crash ride, dark wash, medium sustain) and I was able to demo side-by-side about a dozen different cymbals until settling on the Xilxo (Erces custom brand) West Coast 20 ride. Its my new favorite kit piece and I plan to enjoy it for years and years to come.

Stopped in halfway on an 8 hour road trip and had an amazing experience! A cozy shop, stacked floor to ceiling with cymbals, in a beautiful historic building. Any drummer from beginner to expert can find their new cymbal here! Had to take home a Bosphorus Master Vintage

Fantastic selection of great Turkish cymbals. RJ was more than patient and very helpful as I went through DOZENS of cymbals picking just the right ones. I’ll definitely be back.

The store owner, who is from Turkey, was very friendly and extremely helpful. I ended up buying a pair of 16” Istanbul Traditional Light hi-hats, but not after he patiently showed me every comparable cymbal in the store. The store is small, but he has just about every cymbal in the Istanbul lineup, each of them available to try. He also stocks many cymbals from other brands, including his own brand, “Xixo”.

Never been to a shop with this much in stock high end cymbals to check out. Really a special place and the owner couldn’t be nicer. Was impressed by the house brand Turkish cymbals.

Unique shop, so many cymbals, and a shopkeeper so engaging, knowledgeable and warm. Do check it out, drummers and musicians! They support the local music community and educate the region. Bravo!

This place is an absolute must if you are a drummer. The walls are packed with cymbals, and you can try any of them out on the kit in the store. Also, the owner is one of nicest people you will meet.

This place is very nice. His inventory is pricey but very good quality!!! He spent a lot of time with my son and me. I definitely recommend this place. He doesnt carry the big brands i. e. Zildjan, Sabian, Paiste or Meinl. All of his are hand crafted in Istanbul.

Love this place! Erce, the owner, is a fantastic person and truly understands his product and the needs of musicians. Cant say enough good things about this experience. I hope to purchase from him again soon.

Erce (I think that’s how you spell his name and I’m still uncertain how to pronounce it!) is a lovely Turkish gentleman with a fantastic little shop that not only houses an amazing array of top shelf cymbals from larger companies but also showcases his own creations in his Xilxo brand. My wife plays a C&C bop kit with mostly Agop cymbals and she was super excited to visit Cymbal House whilst staying overnight in Cincinnati. She obtained her Masters degree in music and as a multi-instrumentalist her passion for music runs as deep as her discerning ear for musicality and personality in her instruments. After Erce swapped out countless variations of both crash and ride cymbals from bigger named entities, it was Erce’s own Xilxo brand that was the clear winner and both the ride and crash found a new home. She’s playing them upstairs right now and they sound fantastic.Highly recommended!We’ll be back next year!!

This place is an auditory sensory experience! If you are interested in the highest quality cymbals with the widest variety of sound textures and stick response/feel, there is no better place than Cymbal House. Cymbal House stocks hundreds of Turkish handmade cymbals, mainly focusing on larger-diameter rides, crashes, and hi-hats. There are a few examples of mainstream brands (Sabian), but most are Istanbul, Istanbul Agop, Bosphorus, or CHs house brand, Xilxo. Make sure to try the Xilxo cymbals - they are really excellent; equal or better than the better-known brands.The owner of Cymbal House remembers his customers and makes an effort to understand their preferences. I tried dozens of cymbals in an impromptu cymbal consultation with the owner before choosing an 18 Xilxo thin crash. Ill be back for a ride cymbal someday soon. Its hard to go back to Zildjian and Paiste after hearing the good stuff!
