I hate leaving bad reviews. Especially reading all the good reviews for this place; I don’t want to just seem like the only negative Nancy. Anyways. I had never been there before so I went in & talked to some people at the desk, explaining that I want a sea tattoo and I wanted either a sea turtle or a whale. I leave a deposit and come back the following day for my appointment. The guy I had talked to drew a ship wreck & a scary shark. I said no and gave him my two suggestions again and threw in maybe a dolphin. So he drew a dolphin and a treasure chest. I said no to the treasure chest & accepted the dolphin.. confused on why he wouldn’t do a sea turtle or whale like I really wanted. So he does the tattoo, all went well, friendly staff, but my tattoo turned out awful and now I have an appointment somewhere else to get it fixed and it’s gonna cost a couple hundred bucks which is how much I spent on the tattoo to begin with.

First and Foremost, excellent excellent shop! My wife and I have both had two separate pieces done here by Josh. All of our work has been either fully custom or customized to make them unique, fun and special. Josh is an amazing artist who takes time to understand your ideas and make sure you leave with the ink you want. The rest of the staff there is also very friendly, helpful, and fun. The environment is clean and hygenic but still has a comfortable welcoming feel to it. Overall this is is probably the best shop Ive been to. I cant say enough good things about them! I hope you guys stay around cause were definitely gonna keep coming back :)

Great place! Very clean environment and super friendly staff. Chris has worked with me and does a great job and has great appreciation for his artwork! Will take his time to make sure you’re happy and he’s happy with the work he’s done. You can’t go anywhere else and expect better than this place.

Got a tattoo here. It was a cover up. And may i say Im in love with it. I have definitely found my artist for my future tats. ❤❤❤❤

This place is great! I got my industrial piercing here. The piercer is really nice and she walked me through it. Its been about 4 months since I got it and its healing very nicely. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to get a piercing.

Sailour has done two tattoos for me and she was awesome! She listened to what I wanted and created and delivered! Everyone was very laid back as they say and were fun and friendly! Josh covered up an awful tattoo done by someone else for my friend and she is extremely happy with the results! Reasonable prices as well! Me and my friend are happy returning customers!

I went into this place with a broken heart due to the recent loss of a child. I shared my story with the staff who were incredibly accommodating and understanding. They showed me so much compassion and attention to details when it came to the elements of my new ink. I will not only recommend Studio 88 Tattoo Shop, I won’t go anywhere else! Took my daughter to get both her nose and belly button pierced right before her eighteenth birth. The staff was nice, there wasn’t a long wait, and from what she said there wasn’t a lot of pain. In fact, the piercing was finished before she knew it. I would definitely recommend this place for all your piercing needs.

Ive only gotten a piercing there but my piercer ,Brittany, was awesome nice and gentle. The other staff are really jice and helpful as well thought. The piercing turned out great and when i have any questions about a new piercing tht i may want she gives her honest advice, something i really appreciate. The atmosphere is nice and relaxing and the shop is clean. Id give more stars if i could. Great place!

I was so nervous, but Brittany was absolutely wonderful. I got a daith piercing, and she walked me through it step by step, and even told me when and how deep to breathe. I was recommended to go here by my husbands sister-in-law, and was not disappointed. I highly recommend this place to everyone. I just hope that my migraines will be gone for good now. Sailour did my entire foot tattoo and was very chill to work with! She listened to the idea I had and created the design in her own, unique style. The tattoo turned out AMAZING and Sailour’s professionalism shines throughout the entire process. She makes sure you are comfortable and happy when sitting in her chair. The shop has a very neat, clean environment and all of the staff were friendly and super laid back. I will most definitely be returning in the future :)

Pretty chill little spot nestled away in Downtown Covington. The place was clean, everything looked sanitary. Nose piercings are only $25. If youre wondering, on a scale of 1 to 10 the pain is about a 5, and it only lasts while the piercing is going in. My piercer was Brittany, shes an earthy type with piercings and tats, seemed skilled, trustworthy, and competent. I definitely recommend this place!

Got my helix pierced today and it was executed swiftly with no hassle at all! i felt comfortable and welcomed the entire time. if you’re looking for a piercing this is a good place to go.

Everything about this place is amazing! My dad got a tattoo here and a week later I came back and got two tattoos done! Chris is hands down the best artist I’ve had the pleasure of dealing with. Not only is he extremely talented but he’s such a sweetheart! He knew how much the tattoo meant to me and he took so much of his time to make sure it was perfect. All of the staff are such sweet people and CLEAN!!! I won’t be going anywhere else for tattoos!

I came here for 2 tattoos and each was by a different artist and I was amazed at how great the turned out! Sailour does unbelievably seamless, perfect work! And Josh had also done my boyfriends tattoo as well as my brothers and Im just so amazed at his work!

Not a big fan.Went in to get my tongue repierced. The piercer dropped the first barbell so I was sitting there gagging on saliva waiting for her to get another.Next issue is my piercing is crooked as all hell. Its on a complete diagonal slant. It makes it difficult to clean and its hurting the roof of my mouth. I now have to go elsewhere to get these issues recorrected after my tongue is healed. Do not recommend for piercings.Ive seen their handiwork with tattoos, so thats a complete different story. Theyve done amazing work from the bit Ive seen.The atmosphere is relaxing as well. The artists are kind people, dont get me wrong, just maybe a little rushed.I just advise against getting piercings here.

Chris Bell is absolutey an outstanding talented artist! He did a cover-up for me and i couldnt be more ecstatic about the results. He takes his time and has an excellent eye for detail! My daughters have also had piercings done here and they love them. I highly recommend Studio 88 and especially Chris Bell aka Coolhand!!

I heard about daith piercings as a treatment for migraines and decided that it was worth a try. I’ll tell ya, if you’re going to get one done, might as well get both. Brittany did a great job and walked me thru each step of the way. No lie, it hurts like anything! But the pain subsides quickly. And I feel immediate relief from my second migraine this week. If you’re thinking about it, do it. Costs less than a co-pay...

Extremely professional staff handled my crazy teenage daughter wonderfully.

Forgot her name but one of the female piercers gave me unsterilized septum jewelry. I didnt know until I went to another piercing place and they pointed it out. I already have a nostril pierced, I got another nostril done with them, she pierced it higher than the other one so their not symmetrical. Stud jewlrey for nostrils kinda big, which brings more attention to my nose. I also called and left my name and number with them for someone to contact me (I had questions), which no one ever did lol but thats ok ,I went to another place and had these issues corrected. So wont be back here!
