I took my 1985 corvette to jones automotive for a typical tuneup that included a new distributor cap, spark plugs, and wires and a new valve cover gasket because of an oil leak. I dropped it off friday morning and Monday afternoon i was told it was ready. When i picked my car up it was running rough and backfiring which it never did before. I brought it back the very next day and they told me the other issues they found (leaking vacuum hoses and wobbly harmonic balancer) would need to be addressed despite my car running fine before the work they performed. The receptionist informed me that i would have to leave the car for them to look at but she didnt know when they would get to it because the mechanic had work lined up. I think this is terrible service to a customer that already paid for a job and is experiencing issues with their work. I will not return to jones automotive.UPDATE: After talking to chase about being able to dispute the charge my step dad called the place and told the manager. He told me to come in and they had it fixed in 20 minutes. The review stands because of the bad communication that led to this in the first place. If the receptionist or mechanic she talked to took a few seconds to hear me out this wouldve been entirely avoided. Shout out to the manager Bill for taking care of me in the end though.
