Agree with Joshua. Consistently rude staff. All masked up creates a very toxic environment. A place of fear and anxiety for all. They do not honor medical exemptions which is a violation of the law. Prices high.

I wish them well. Capitalism is a struggle.They need something unique to compete with Amazon.

I can’t shop here anymore. The owners of this local grocery store need to stop being apart of the oppression and robbing their employees identify by forcing the staff to still where masks. We need true freedom to rise in the country & mount hope is not setting that example. On top of it the mark up on products here is insane I mean there is literally $2-5 mark ups higher than natural grocers on every single item. Doing your weekly shopping here is an easy extra $100!

I love going here to products in bulk. They have rice, beans, flour, grains, spices, tea, and rice. They also have supplements and produce. Everything is organic and of good quality. Also the prices are reasonable.

I shop at My Hope at least once a month. Its my favorite place for herbs and spices and herbal medicine.

Small but mighty. Much needed relief from all the fast food around the area. Very friendly staff.

No longer needing a fake mask was nice, just went in to get some magnesium spray to help these old knees of mine. People were friendly, prices fair, store was clean. All around a real place again

The cashiers & other staff here are always so friendly and make me feel very welcome here. The guy w/ long hair stocking the produce has always been super cool too, hes really funny and casual-professional at the same time. There is a lady that works there, shes not a cashier, who can come off as rather grumpy for some reason, lol. Honesty Id rather have grumpy & genuine than the fake enthusiasm other retailers can sometimes throw at you. Overall, the people here are great. This store also has an awesome selection on dried herbs and supplements, Im super happy that this store exists in Cottonwood.

Been shopping MT Hope 20 some years. They do it well. Feel safer there (pandemic wise) than any other grocery store. And theyre very helpful.Youll be amazed what they carry. Other stores just scratch their heads with a dull duh about what MT Hope says yeah weve got that by several makers.

Clean and empty inside. Food is Good. Crispy chicken sandwich has greatly improved!!

I walked by here and had a craving for a snack. The store is on the small side but with a decent variety of items.I bought a fruit bar and chocolate bar totalling almost $6 !!! VERY HIGH PRICES!!!The staff is not friendly and bossy.I will not return and do not recommend.

Theres nothing naturally about a natural foods store when they post on their front door that if you havent taken the experimental jab, you still need a mask.. sadly this place has either drank the mainstream koolaid, or theyve been bought by someone who has.. either way, I wont be back. Ive gone there for years until they became neurotic about this mask thing. I will not go back. We spend hundreds of dollars on their supplements to stay healthy and they are scared of a virus that has a recovery rate of 99%. They dont have much confidence in their own supplements, so why should I buy them?

We have noticed that the workers there are hesitant to give assistance to shoppers and are unfriendly. Today my wife shopped there and witnessed a customer being rudely scolded for not wearing a mask. She felt bad for him because he was being publicly embarrassed in front of others. This is at a time when the CDC has said that masks are not necessary indoors any longer, when most people who want the vaccine have it, and the governor of Arizona has rescinded mask mandates even for the schools. We will not be shopping at this store anymore. We will take our business where there is not a mask Gestapo.

The worst customer service experience I have ever had in my life. Extremely unwelcoming and rude cashiers. I was mortified by the lack of basic human decency and decorum. If I could give negative stars, I would.

I’d like to thank Roger Larson for your courage to speak up about this controversial topic- mandatory masks to enter a store!?! What about the Constitution? The Bill of Rights? ADA act? I was told to shop somewhere else when I merely questioned this measure- this is not a recommended practice on the CDC website and most people keep touching their face when wearing them?! I am surprised to see this measure taken at a store that promotes health, freedom to make choices for health, and maintaining a good immune system naturally.

Great natural and gourmet food items, plus looked like a big selection of suppliments etc.I was looking for Mesquite flour which I got and am delighted. Will be going back here when in Cottoneood. Very nice store and staff very helpful!😍

Just wanted to give a huge shout out to Mount Hope Wholesale! We source our nuts at Cold Stone from here. The nuts are always excellent quality and the customer service top notch, A++. Not only are they friendly and extremely professional but you feel like you are taken care of personally over the phone. They also get your order through quick no unnecessary time wasted because they know a lot of people have many things to do. My man Gordon is usually the one to answer for us here at Cold Stone and he is awesome, but others (I am sad I dont have the others names) do just as terrific a job as Gordon when they answer our call. Just thought wed say how awesome these guys are, and to keep up the amazing work you guys do at Mount Hope Wholesale!

Its good for a lifestyle but terrible for your pocket book (Its expensive). Honestly I didnt stay in there very long. I did see baby bok choy and bulk pink himalayan salt other than that I cant really recommend.

Now that everyone where I live is sheltering in place at home, its hard to get quality specialty items locally, especially flour and such. I stumbled upon Mount Hopes online store and boy, did I hit the jackpot. They have things like buckwheat flour and baking supplies I didnt even know existed and I was able to order in reasonable quantities at very good prices. Woo hoo! My pasta maker is going into over-drive! I placed an order and then realized a few hours later that I wanted to add a few things, so I called directly to see if that was possible. The person who answered the phone, Chris, was super helpful and really nice. Thrilled to have found a new awesome supplier with budget-friendly products and great customer service to boot! Great local business that’s been around since well before I could drive (I’m 40 now). Wonderfully informed staff with real useful products at fair prices — not what you can say about all places in the area (looking at you, Whole Foods, you disgusting model of consumerism that only appeals to the ultra privileged). In any event, I love this store and really appreciate their manager being one of the few in this city enforcing the law and looking out for the health and safety of their customers. I’ve read a few negative reviews about mask the policy (which is now implemented statewide for obvious reasons) and felt the need to post a review. This store is great as is evident by the numerous other 5 star reviews. Their selection is great and the staff is very helpful. The people complaining about masks are not reviewing the store but their own personal disbeliefs in scientific recommendations on how to stop pandemics.

Thanks so much for addressing the sour smell that used to be at the back of the store! I’ve shopped here many times over the past couple of years and everything is top notch. I especially appreciate the clean atmosphere and COVID precautions that are enforced. If you don’t want to wear a mask, you can always shop at Dollar General.

Nicely designed store with a surprising amount of choices. Wish their prices were more competitive but overall a nice place to get natural foods and products.

Mount Hope is one place we go weekly for our main shopping, they have a great selection of Organic and Natural items/food. The employees are wonderful,and extremely helpful.

Their bulk products are what we shop there for regularly; theyre always fresh, and high quality. They also have the best selection of supplements in town, although they are quite pricey compared to what you can find online, as are the rest of the products they have that you can find elsewhere in town. Wish they had a better selection of meat and cheese substitutes too.

It used to be such a nice store to visit. Yesterday, it got the last of my business. The required mask is the last straw. People who say Its the right thing to do are reaching into other peoples lives where they do not belong. And you have these FROSTY clerks who basically want as little to do with customers as possible. Take off that one star. I am done with Mount Hope!

This is not a health food store. There is more health food at Frys. The staff is rude and they cant even answer basic health questions. Its sad as years ago i came here and they seemed to care more about health.... apparently they have lost their foundation. They wont be in business for very much longer shop at Frys or natural grocers instead... if you care about your health.

Good store for health food, little on the steep side on there prices

The customer service here is Amazing, people are always willing to assist you whether finding a specific item your looking for or to listen to your needs and direct you to various products to fit your individual needs. Last month I was there and had some questions and concerns about a type of product I was looking for and had 3 people assisting me and answering all of my questions. They all showed true interest and care while assisting me.

My wife likes this store. She recommends.

As the only store of its type in Cottonwood, dont expect Trader Joes, Whole Foods or Natural Grocers, but it does have organic and quality healthy brands and some variety. It closes pretty early and pricing is higher than most places.

Great, selective, organic local grocery. The friendliest people you will ever meet. Not just the fabulous helpful employees, but all the locals who shop here. Were all friendly. You dont need huge aisles because theres no junk food here. Plenty of treats but they are all healthy. If you want something the dont have orders come in pretty fast. And they are really knowledgeable about vitamins & supplements.

Great place good atmosphere. 4 stars because of the prices, which I understand with it being independent I just dont have that kind of money. But when I dont want to drive 20 minutes to another natural grocery store, these guys always have what I need and I like the excuse to go in there.

We have been shopping there for a long time.Love the products and the people that work there. Everyone is friendly and very helpful .We plan to keep going there for a long time.

Some interesting offerings as well as variety of the standard fare. There isnt a large fresh foods section though you will often find local, seasonal fruit and vegetables. There is a large section of supplements and a very appealing section of unique bottled drinks. I tried some colas and ginger beers that were fantastic. You can make your own freshly ground peanut butter. There are a number of flours, sugars, nuts, dried fruits, beans, rice, etc. that you can purchase in bulk. Prices can be a bit steep, but you will likely find something new to try.

This place is great! I can pick up vegetable oil, essential oil, enzymes and walnuts, all in one convenient location! The staff is nice, but some of the customers look at me and my tattoos and stare. Yes I have tattoos, no I dont deal drugs. I had to buy a pair of hemp Toms just to wear when I shop here, with my Sedona loves all fur babies tee shirt while my off brown cargo shorts scream river day. My tie dyed slouch beanie is super effective on cold days as well.

I have been a patron of Mt. Hope since 1989. They have a well educated staff for anything U need, or answer to any question. The inventory is vast an there grocery department is out standing.

We stopped here while passing through Cottonwood after a friend of mine told me about this place. Our son is Gluten intolerant and this place had a selection of items well beyond the big box stores or even some specialty stores like sprouts and whole foods. We picked up several different items here for our son to try that we cant find readily in phoenix. The prices were very reasonable as well with some items going half the price of what the big box stores (frys, Walmart,...) sell for. I only wish they had a store closer to us in phoenix. When we pass through this area again we will definitely be stopping by.
