Seemed to have a good skill set in running diagnostics. Poor communication skills, poor customer service. Initially took my truck in, didnt tell me he wanted to keep it over the weekend. Made a later appointment and he still didnt have his smoke machine to finish a complete diagnostic. Left my truck with him Monday night didnt get it back till 11pm Tuesday night. He said he would call within the hour and I didnt get a call till late that night. Said he would call in 5 minutes then didnt hear from him in 45 minutes or later. He told me he takes card, then couldnt take card for some reason. He tried to get me to venmo him, I couldnt get it set up. Then he gave me the option to pay later, then immediately after begs me to run to an ATM at 11 oclock at night. After all this my check engine light is still on. Very dissatisfied, wont be taking my truck back.

We approved a quote for AC repair and he took it upon himself to add more repairs than requested without approval. Would not answer phone calls or text messages when vehicle was ready and needed to be picked up. Very poor communication. Took two trips to pick up vehicle while he said he was at shop and would not answer phone or door. Lost our business and will never use again.

Jarrod is an exceptional human being and an excellent mechanic. I am new to the area and did not know who to call when my 1999 Lexus sedan would not start one morning. I found Americas Auto Center through Google. Jarrod, the owner, recommended a towing service, which was also stellar, and within 2 hours my car was in his shop. Jarrod assured me that he would take care of me. He phoned me the following morning to say that he had found the starter problem and had already fixed it. His price was fair, which included having my repaired car delivered to my house the following day. This all happened between Friday afternoon and Sunday morning. When I phoned the following week to thank Jarrod, I found out that he had fixed my car and made arrangements for its delivery before leaving town for surgery. When I spoke to him over the weekend, he was very professional. He said he was out of town and that he had taken care of me. I had no idea he was taking care of me in the midst of having health issues. Thank you, Jarrod!!!!

The guys put a new crate motor in my truck. They did a solid job at a fair price, and their supplier provides a good warranty on the motors they sell. It took a little longer than expected, but the work was done well and were looking good so far. Runs like a new truck. Id recommend them for anyone who wants good work done while on a tight budget.

It was a little different of an experience but overall has to be 5 stars. Noticed a pretty substantial amount of oil leaking out of an older VW Eurovan engine at about 11pm. Called the office, got an answer and someone knowledgeable about my situation to help me as I had already searched quite a bit of my own online and had an idea of what was going on but wasnt 100%.Mind you this was the weekend, am not sure if the guy ever sleeps. He is an absolute machine. If you are in or traveling through the Albuquerque area and need someone to help, he is your guy. Straight forward and honest transaction from the beginning, alls you can hope for these days.

These guys are awesome! The quality of work is excellent and the turn around time was superb! We broke down on a Thursday night and Americas Auto Center picked up the truck and had the card diagnosed and back on the road by Monday!!! The car is running like new and absolutely showing no signs of trouble. They replaced the entire engine over the weekend and the price for the entire repair was affordable for the amount of work they put in. Excellent job! Definitely check it out!

We brought our 2nd car in to get the windows tinted. They did a great job. The staff was friendly and courteous. They were very patient with our questions and needs. The prices were very reasonable. We would highly recommend this place to anyone.

Was a great choice for me and money well spent. They helped me out wit legal and illegal tints for my window. They let us know it was gonna be awhile, so they offered too take us where ever we wanted and when the car window were done they can pick us back up. The results were amazing. And still is amazing. When a good friend refers you, you hope it will be okay...Confusion, miscommunication, a mess.But let me say this is not really for the mechanical side of the house. Jared and Richard were great.Hey tint guy....your Guido is showing. Take some lessons on proper etiquette when speaking to customers and dont let the mayo run down your face and spit your food all while talking to them like they are retarded. Because thats exactly how you treated me. You dont like me? Fine. You have a problem with speaking to women? Fine. But have some respect when you are talking to customers. If you cant do the job I pay for, or didnt want to in the first place because it was too heavy duty, all you had to do is say so. Id have GLADLY paid you more $$$ for detailing since the car required an incredible amount of cleaning. Next time communicate on what a detail includes. All you had to do it communicate with me and/or your building partner who completed the maintenance.Kudos to Jared for trying to help and fix it. Both he and Richard were very nice. Lets hope all the mechanical work they did will make up for the utter lack of professionalism on the other side of the house.

Absolutely love this place! Ive been getting my windows tinted here since 2011. They have always been kind. Gotten me in as soon as they could, some times even the same day. They are quick and the only shop I have found that can take care of all of my needs. I get my audio equipment from them as well and even my body work. They do get quite busy at times but I dont mind waiting for quality service I can trust!

Service is first rate. All of the staff is polite and helpful. I have and will continue to take my vehicles here. They go above and beyond when it comes to making sure your vehicle is repaired correctly. I have an older vehicle with high miles, and every time something has needs repaired, I will take it to Americas Auto Center. There prices are fair and service is fast. I has never taken more than a couple of days to get my car back. In fact, of the times I have had to take my car there, only once has it been more than one day to get the repair done. If you have to get a repair done, this is the place to have it done.

I brought in my 2003 Sienna because the check engine light was on. It turned out to be the catalytic converter. I was quoted a price to do a proper fix (replacing the cat as well as some sensors), but was also given some cheaper options for partial repairs with some warnings about how effective theyd be long-term.The price was high, but that was because Sienna parts are just expensive. I am not married and have no kids, so I mentioned getting rid of my car. Americas Auto Center was very nice and showed me some older cars they had for sale that were very reasonably priced.They spent quite a bit of time with me and did not even charge me to have my car looked at. I dont know enough about cars to rate their knowledge, but theyre a pretty cool group of guys and seem very honest. I would recommend them.

All around horrible service.On the tinting and alarm business half.Took my car in to get my two front windows tinted and a speaker fixed.Told the owner that front windows needed to be Texas legal. Owner told me he know the tint for that. Once I received my car back, the day after went to Texas to get a inspection sticker. Was not able to get a sticker because tint was illegal.Brought the car back to him and told him the situation of what happened. Owner tells me he doesnt remember me telling him that. Seriously, that was the main subject of our conversation of me getting my car tinted, I repeated over and over. But from what I got from him is that when woman talk to him it goes in one ear and out the other. Owner said he will fix problem, but I have to pay $20 for his worker labor. Really!Second time he put the correct tint on, but one of the windows had all kinds of cloth stuck between the window and tint. ( not inspecting employees work)Took it back he fixed it again for the third time.Third time he fixed the tint and the tint does not even cover the whole window, on top of the speaker he replaced no longer works already.Tried to call and make another appointment for the 4th time, they stop answering and returning my calls and every time I went up there no one know where or how to contact him.So I would rate this place a negative 0, but you have to put at least one star to post.The way he handle customer service is awful, especially toward woman.He doesnt listen customers problems on what needs to be fixed.He doesnt check his employees work after they are done.(hints the 3x)It seems he is trying to make a quick buck, by the way he stands behind his work.Also, if you are a woman doing business with him, please take a man with you. I was treated unfairly and my car was not completed to the 100% workmanship he preaches and they happily took my money.

Best auto repair shop in Albuquerque! I was referred by a friend to go see Jared at Americas Auto Center and I was not disappointed with the outcome. I was informed within minutes of what the problem was and told how much everything would cost so there would be no surprises. I had my car back the very same day. Since then I have referred my friends and family to go see Americas Auto Center for any of their car repair needs. I highly recommend you go see them.

After a few bad mechanics...we found this place, specifically Jared! The guys there were awesome and promised me they have my dads old truck running well. Within a week they kept their word! This same truck had spent months with other mechanics and wasnt near fixed & nobody was even close to problem solving the issues! This truck held very sentimental value to me as my father passed away 6 months ago. The fact that this place was able to fix the truck and do it timely was so awesome. There fees are very reasonable too. This truck is a 2003 Dodge Cummins and everyone kept saying only a dealership could fix it...well Americas Auto Center fixed it months ago and its still running like a champ! Let me say that these guys do multitudes of service that is outstanding. First real experience I had with them is in helping one of our members in buying a car. Granted, it is not a brand new car but, for the amount she could afford it was a really good car. They even went through it to be sure it was running in par condition and replaced a worn timing belt, before she picked it up.I have referred people to here and have heard multiple compliments about them.Recently, I laid my bike down. They have a body shop, that went far and above what I expected, in getting it in pristine condition. Thanks for not only addressing the dents but also for the amazing paint job.Recently, we had a weary traveler contact us because their truck broke down and had asked if the church could help. I called Derek and he immediately agreed to look at it, although, there was a 2 day wait to how busy they were. When they looked at it, there appeared to be nothing wrong with it as it started and they even topped the fluids for them. Honest guys, competitive prices, and faster than any mechanics that I know. They do the job right the first time and willing to explain the problem and show you what they replaced and why. They have certainly set the bar for my expectations in a mechanic, and I wont go anywhere else.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE!! These guys made my car WORSE! I couldnt get them to respond or call back, and when they did call back they were still doing tests. They replaced the alternator on my car and said they couldnf find anything else wrong with it. It was sooo expensive.. I got my car back, and it smelt horrible!! The inside of my car was dirty -black, I assume from the mechanic. As soon as I drove away my check engine light went back on. I had to replace my battery which was DEAD, AND it seems as they left my windows open while it rained, there was water marks all down both front doors.. Now my car is STILL broken, water damaged, and Im out 700 bucks for nothing.. thanks a lot.

Took my car in for an engine light issue due to emissions system. They fixed the problem quickly and for a reasonable price. I started talking to Jared (sorry if I misspelled your name) about my other vehicle and he told me what was probably wrong with it and how to fix it myself. I went ahead and brought that car in as well. Honesty is a rarity among mechanics. I will bring all of my vehicles to him from now on.

I was pleasantly surprised by this place. I had received numerous estimates to fix an electrical problem on my 1996 Toyota Camry; all which were ridiculously high!! Americas Auto Center fixed the problem right the first time, at only a fraction of the cost of the other repair shops. The staff was extremely courteous and they completed the job within a few hours. They called when the said they were going to call, and they performed the tasks they promised to do. Its hard to find shops that will actually follow through with their promises...these guys kept their word!! I will definitely take my car back to this place, and I absolutely plan to recommend this shop to all my acquaintances.

I have taken several vehicles to Americas Auto Center over the years and have always received quick service and very affordable pricing. These guys have always taken very good care of me and my vehicles whether it is routine like brakes, alternator, starter, fixing the A/C or more complicated problems - Ive thrown it all at them. I took my car to get the service engine light checked at about 9:30am. About 3:30 I called to find out the status on my car and owner said hell call back. Finally at about 4:30 a lady called and told me my car was ready and it will cost just under $275. Umm never was I called and notified what was going on with my car or to see if I wanted to go ahead and fix it. Not to mention I asked for my oil to be changed and I supplied the oil and filter and it wasnt done. What choice did I have but you work with paying him for work completed so I have him $150 and went back to pay the rest a week later. He offered to change my oil for free and knocked off $5 from the bill. I got to my car and found the door left open. I drove off and smoke was coming up from under the hood. There was an oily mess not only under the hood but hand prints on my hood, bumper, door, steering wheel just everywhere! It was an awful experience. I wont be going back!

I have been doing research on auto repairs in Albuquerque for a few weeks and Americas Auto Center came up and I called them to ask them for a brief estimate for taking off the belt that goes to the compressor because the bearings have gone bad. Unfortunately, they were not the first on the google list when I searched for auto repairs, and it absolutely should be. My whole experience there was unbeatable. Not only were they friendly and well priced, they gave you an education about your problem and other options that could be taken. I discussed window tinting with them and other auto security and I got an awesome explanation of what products were good and why. They tell it like it is and let you know what youre buying and that is a dying breed of repairmen. I am NEVER going anywhere else in Albuquerque for my auto repairs, window tinting, stereo installations, security systems, or auto maintenance.

We were traveling from Oregon to Louisiana and had air-conditioning problems on the road. I called ahead to Americas Auto Center in Albuquerque and spoke to a very knowledgeable guy named Jared. Not only did he spend 15 minutes on the phone with me helping me understand the nuances of auto air-conditioning systems and what separates the experienced technician from the not-so experienced, he also arranged to look at the car for me right away. Once at the shop, within half an hour he and his remarkable mechanic/auto air-conditioning specialist figured out and fixed the problem. The day before I had spent an hour at a Midas shop in another town with no good diagnosis.I would strongly recommend this shop. Ask for Jared -- he will definitely get the job done and at a reasonable price - even if you are from out of state. He is an honest guy in a sea of dishonest outfits!

Took my car about a month ago to get tinted and its already bubbling all over. When I got in my car it was a mess! Leaves, trash and my seats are now covered in water stains that dont come out. I was told if I wrote a good review I would get a discount which I did and didnt get a discount. I dont recommend anyone getting their tint here.

I will come back here, even though I didnt have any work done on my car! My car refused to demonstrate the problem (I had it towed in for) to Jared. I was pretty much a sitting duck where I could have been taken advantage of - and been told I needed something that I didnt. TRUST is big with me, and I trust Jared.

We had taken our car recently and had some issues to where we had to bring it in again. At that point I was very frustrated. When I had come back to explain my frustration a gentlemen (owner I believe) was very defensive. This was a issue that could have escalated until Manny (Manager I believe) stepped in and was very customer oriented. Because of his helpfulness and humble personality we will refer our friends and family to him for future reference. Thank you Manny for being so understanding and all about your customer!

Ive gone here a couple times for different reasons and theyve always gotten me in right away and have gone above and beyond to help me get my car running. Theyve been so honest with what I need to get fixed but never pressured me to fix it right away if i couldnt afford it or if i coukd go without it for a while. They have even fixed something for me that I really did need and worked with me on paying it off! Always given me fair prices and I will always go here for my car!

Horrible place! Worst service I have ever received these guys say everything is fine but in reality they make everything worse. We had our car there for 2 weeks and spent 2500. We got our car back had a family emergency in grants and the car left us stranded. We sat in the hot sun for about 3 hours. These people do not know how to do their job right. I recommend that nobody goes to this place! This place should receive no stars!

They lied to use and tried to get us to spend over $300 on nothing!Property is nasty dirty and they let drug addicts hang around the shop. Waiting for money from their window tint guy!At least thats what we were told when we told them they were bothering and asking for money.Our a.c. stopped working ona wekend trip. After 2 hours of diagnostic time they said car needed and expansion valve and to recharge the whole system cause all the r134 had leaked out. $380Oh and we were 3 quarts low on oil....When we couldnt afford the work they owner guy got visibly upset and said well its $127 for the time spent.We took the car to another mechanic at home for repairs. They said the system was fine. It just got to hot and the a.c. shut down to protect itself.Oh and we were over filled with oil!They drained 3 quarts of oil that it didnt even need!We left without being charged anything because the car didnt even need any work done! And the a.c. was working fine the next morning!Ive filled complaint with BBB, city of Alb and am going to warm as many people as possible NOT to get taken advantage of by these guys!

I came to get my windows tinted as I have a rush call I have to be at I went over spent 280.00 cash only wont take credit cards! the guy that helped me was rude had a complete attitude and told me it would take 5-6 hours to get the job done. This place is outstanding!! Customer service is top-notch! I was referred by one of my wifes co-workers and had my engine and transmission rebuilt here. Everything was running great the day I picked up the car, but the next day, it wouldnt start. Jarrod came to me and diagnosed a bad starter (I had just changed it before the engine work, so it was almost brand new--remanufactured, actually, but only had a few months of run time). It had a lifetime warranty, so he gave me a ride to exchange it and installed it and all was good...not so fast! The very next day as I was driving back from a doctors appointment, I stopped to grab some food and the car wouldnt start again!! I called Jarrod and the new starters solenoid had shorted out. He got me a brand new starter, not remanufactured, and I got my money back for the other one. This is why I will bring my car here and will refer all my friends to Americas Auto. Cant beat the service!!

I had a check engine light on my car, and it was time to register it. They quoted me at $1700 to replace three components. After two weeks, around $1650, two missed appointments (they essentially turned me away after we set a time and day for me to come in; my schedule is too busy for me to just leave my car for a week), and several assurances that the problem is with this part or that, it came out that theyd only actually replaced two of the three parts, and the code hadnt gone away. I got fed up and took my car to the dealer. 2 hours and $300 later, the problem was fixed. 100%. I asked a ton of questions at the dealership about the parts I paid for through these guys, and apparently theres no way theyd have been causing the actual problem, and were, in fact, entirely unrelated. So basically, I have a choice here. I can believe that theyre lazy about their diagnostics and maintenance, or I can believe that theyre out to screw people over. Im honestly not sure which is worse.

Well, Merry Christmas (Thats sarcasm!), a blown car engine the day after Christmas and the potential for a lose-lose situation! But a helpful service rep, Manny, at this garage--the only place I called that took the TIME to talk to me constructively--showed me how I could turn it into a better situation. My older Toy needed, soon, a new timing belt as required maintenance, and I have long known the clutch was about to go, both things that are VERY EXPENSIVE TO DO on their own. He showed me that these too could be efficiently and economically done while putting in the new engine, plus a few other things as well.So here I am, a few days into a new year with a 14-year-old RAV-4 that is running like a hot rod, with its 5-speed shifting beautifully, and the knowledge that that pricey timing belt is in and granny here wondering only when her elderly RAV will manage to get her a speeding ticket! :) Yes, Im out a bit for a used engine--albeit much lower mileage than the one I had--but what could have been a very bad situation, with those other maintenance items still undone, has been largely redeemed by a garage that showed me ways to make a bad situation much better. While I obviously need a new car at some point in the next few years, required maintenance is done, and I have a sound car to drive for a few more years if need be, plus one I can sell, with my head held high, to someone else when the time comes.Overall, so far at least, Im very pleased, and am inclined, as things now stand to recommend this garage to others.

I first emailed Americas Auto Center on a Sunday evening looking for an estimate for work on my exhaust system. I was surprised to receive a call first thing on Monday morning. I explained the issue as best I could, but Jarrod wanted me to come by the shop so that they could put my car on the lift and examine the problem before generating a quote. Im glad I did. The work I thought I needed (based on what a technician from another garage had told me) was not the work I needed at all. The technicians--Richard and Dave--took me to see my car on the lift so that they could show me what was causing the problem and better explain the fix--and the fix only required labor, no additional parts. Even working me in between appointments, they were able to get my repairs done the same day I went in for the estimate. My car now drives more quietly than it has for months and for much less than I expected to pay based on verbal quotes from other places.

Let me start by saying ...This is not made up by the owner. I am a savvy travel nurse who travels the entire country by truck. Coming from Napa Valley California, passing through visiting a friend in Albuquerque, I found this place on Google. The price was so ridiculously affordable from all the other quotes, I almost didnt believe it! The owner was very professional and insured me of quality work by phone. The mechanic who serviced my vehicle was very skilled, methodic, knowledgeable, and thorough. I know because I watched the whole time. I kept adding in things to be serviced because I trusted that he could do it. The only downfall was waiting for parts to come. My vehicle had been prepped and ready way before the parts came; then the auto store delivery brought some wrong parts. Not only did the mechanic do a superior job, making sure with a test drive, I went and got additional parts for another small job, which he placed with the same diligence. In total, I got rear roters and brakes, rear seals for a brake line leak, rear differential oil change (not with a straw), oil change, fog light assembly replaced and 2 pigtails placed for operable fog lights, fuse replaced, overall engine check, fluids topped off and all my novice questions answered! Its not a 5 star looking place, but I got 5 star service. Thank you so much!

People STAY AWAY the reviews on this forum are made by them. These folks are dishonest and will take you for a ride. They arent good at what they do. They almost burned up my tranny by not installing the correct parts. The estimate was no where near what the actual price was. The job was very dirty and half ass.

I have used these guys twice so far and I do not have any doubt that when it comes to getting major work done on any of my cars I will be using them again. After many times of trial and error throughout the Albuquerque and Rio Rancho area, coming across these guys was a miracle! One of my vehicles had white smoke coming out of the tail pipe yet no milky oil in the pan. What made it even more mysterious was that it would only happen on rare occasions. In a nutshell, their professional approach figured it out. They even pulled the ol’ endoscope out and showed me play by play of the inside of the engine and what the problem was so I could physically see the real issue i.e. no pulling my leg! My other vehicle had a few problems which were all approach the same professional detailed way inclusive of friendly descriptive explanations and all was remedied! All of this…at a very fair price. Coupled with quality work…it’s a win/win situation! I highly recommend these guys.

DONT GO HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!On June 2, 2015 at about 12:00 pm while traveling from Washington state to Florida i stopped at Americas Auto Center in Albuquerque, NM to see if they could take a look at my cars air conditioning. the Mechanic working the named Dave said sure it could cost $42.99 for a half hour to diagnose it. A half hour later he came back and informed me my A/C system was holding pressure but had no freon and it would cost $129.99 to pull a vacuum on the system and re-fill the freon. I said ok go for it. an hour goes by and i wonder whats taking so long and final another hour and a half later the mechanic comes back and says he disconnected something and now the computer in my car is fried and they cant fix it and ill have to pay a towing company to tow my car to a honda dealership and pay for them to fix it. to refill the ac system requires no electrical connections, just hooking up a machine to two valves similar to a tire valve stem and turning the car on.Did they offer to pay for the tow? NopeDid they offer to pay for the repair that is needed now because of them? NOPE!i would say they dont know what they are doing.

Got stuck on a stump on a mountain road yesterday and had a terrible noise coming from under the car afterward. They lifted the car and discovered a bent vibration dampener wedged against the body. They bent it back into place for free! Very professional and helpful.

I would give this shop no stars but it would not allow me to do that. I used this shop due to the cost of their services and because of the reviews that I read on the internet. I did not receive good service and was never called back for updates on what was happening to my vehicle. In the end I was charged more than the estimate and the issue still exist for my car. I would not recommend Americas Auto Center and am writing this review in hopes that others would read it and take heed to my warning. Beware! Additionally, I guess you get what you pay for --- unprofessionalism and dishonesty.

Update: after reading the reviews Dave messed up my car as well and they call another person myself a liar and say he doesnt work there. Karma will get these guys.Absolutely the worst auto mechanic in town. America should not be in their name.Albuquerque. I brought in my truck to get my intake manifold fixed but they damaged my engine and 2 days later it threw a rod. They denied any involvement and wouldnt help with anything. So after 1300 dollars in repair they leave me high and dry. Plus they threaten to charge you to keep your car there after they charge you an arm and a leg.

They fixed the issue at minimal labor cost and even threw in a free oil change. Very honest and reliable.
