I took an old flute in to be serviced. The flute was so old the metal was tarnished. When I returned to pick up the flute the pads were replaced and it was polished back to its original condition! I didnt ask for them to shine the flute but it was done anyway! That was a very nice gesture!

Sold them a clarinet and it took a while day to get my money

This is a really good music store. Plenty of instruments along with all the accessories. There is a fair amount of sheet music too. Plus there is instrument repair. We have an older clarinet and they got it ready for the school year. The repairs start at around $20 it seems.

Great music store for school band instruments and equipment. My son wanted to get a feel for which instruments he might be interested in for beginning band in the coming school year. The staff at South Texas Music Mart was very helpful and knowledgeable in showing him a variety of instruments. 👍

This is the only place for miles that sells and deals with orchestra instruments. I got my first violin from this place, and after a few years I came back to get a repair done. After some trial and error, their string instrument specialist Jessica was able to fix it! Also very helpful and kind were the other employees Gary and Martha, as well as the store owner Larry who sold me a violin for an incredible deal! Absolutely stellar customer service, would definitely highly recommend!

The store has everything that you could possibly need for school band or for professional musicians as they have entry level, intermediate, and professional level instruments. Staff is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. The prices are really competitive. The buying experience was top notch as there was trying to upsell any particular instrument and their recommendation was based on instrument sound with the person playing versus brands. Highly recommend this store for all your music needs.

The gentlemen who helped me was very nice. Ive bought instruments for all my kids over the past 15 years with no problems. Yesterday I went in concerning an issue with a book the school required. The assistant manager was very very snarky. Rude as hell, loud, and pissed me off. You can tell all the employees were timid around her. She needs to be either written up or fired because her level of unprofessionalism was a bad mark on this well established business. Employees and customers should never have to be berated or talked down to like she did.
