Keep in mind that they have a 15% restocking fee so make sure you dont have to return anything or else it will actually cost you$$$

If I could rate this place more stars, I would. Just had an order of building materials delivered, and not only was the price fantastic but the curbside delivery was a great touch. Our delivery man, Dan, was quick and very professional. Called ahead of time, showed up in a timely manner, and was finished in an instant. MG building supply will be getting more of my business, and I sincerely hope Dans manager sees this. Absolute great service.

Very disappointed in what was sent! Then we had to bring it back ourselves after we had paid a delivery charge. No refund on delivery charge. Don t recommend this place for anyone!

They are not honoring their website prices ...my husband went to buy materials for his project he had just bid same day and prices were 20-30 percent higher on materials than what was what listed on their website ...they did not even consider honoring it simply said it’s a waste of time talking to a manager and just to expect prices to go up every day without notice !!

I bought a bbq pit and everyone was great! They helped load up the pit and were very professional.

Rippoffs! Liars.... Bad buisiness! We got ripped the eff off. They gave us a quote. We went to pay for it and they raised the price on 2x6 pt from $12.99. To $18.99 in 18 hours. $500 more.. They did not honor our bid. We called the manager they laughed and said you want them or not. We bought 80 . we had no choice. Out timeframe didnt let us find cheaper 2x6s. Wess. Totally a liar. They all at the counter laughed and said wess would be repramended for lieing.The manager and the guy who charged us had No manners. And bluntly said i cant do anything. Take them or leave them. The owner did it.. I have no control.

I had a large order of lumber delivered. 60% of the wood was warped, end cuts, or bad quality. I had half of my order picked up and returned, had to pay a second delivery fee too. Then they charged me a 15% restocking fee as well. Very unhappy with my experience. Overall their prices for lumber are slightly less than big box stores, but their hardware is way over priced.

I called 3 home depot to mccoys they didnt habit I need it and they had everything plus plenty more

Tried to give them a shot since I usually go to Lowes or Home Depot. Asked about low voltage drywall boxes, and the guy just looked at me like I didn’t know what I was talking about. He didn’t even attempt to ask anyone else or look it up in their system. Then I went back today to return an item. You have to go to back desk for returns. 2 employees working while 3 others just standing around talking. 15 minutes later, still standing there waiting for assistance. Just left. Oh well. Won’t be doing business here anymore.

I like their BBQ smokers (1/4 inch steel) with delivery for people here in town.

Very rude and very unprofessional! When the manager was called because I had a question the clerk turned around to call him, the mgr made a comment and the clerk yelled they dont care they want to talk to a manager.. The conversation went downhill from there. All around it was a very bad experience from the moment I walked up to that service counter.

Its a lumber yard with just they basics cant complain you might find a bbq pit but good luck with the tiki tourches

I have been a customer there for years, BUT, the current staff there with couple of exceptions, are not very friendly, in fact it seems they are not happy to be there and it shows. Im sure the store manager is aware but probably set the poor example.

Very please and helpful staff on the phone, spent quite a bit of time with me trying to locate exotic wood for boat flooring.

I currently work for this company and I have worked for other lumber companies in the past. MG pays decent wages and is more organized. Some of the sales men and women could step up there game a bit but management is good. Good place of employment if you dont mind a few splinters and a little hard work.

Never buy any water heaters or supplies from MG Building Materials. Today was one of the most horrible experiences ever. I paid for a water heater cash and it was definitely defective. Some employees and Management need to understand that people shop there for their own homes and not all contractors just buy there material. A manager by the name of Hugo is a rude man and shows no respect for people and talks to you like trash. All I wanted was a good water heater so we can have running water. He tells me to call customer service on the unit so I do and believe me no help also rude. Remember, I do have my bill of sale and purchased a unit on May 3rd 2018. They basically just said so what. Deal with it. I was there over an hour looking for answers. Kindly enough a warehouse manager called one of the main bosses due to hearing me speak to a customer representative from the water heater company and stopped me after they were closed also gates were closing. I was discussed and very disappointed with Hugo who is suppose to lead a crew in great hands but instead he makes people feel bad and like you are a piece of trash. I will always appreciate Lowes or Home Depot now even if I spend a few more dollars. People who want to try that place, dont! Trust me. Im a real customer with morals and dignity.

This place is a gem. They have just what I need at a decent price. It’s never too busy and worth going there vs going to Lowe’s or Home Depot and dealing with the crowds.

Went into this place for first time just to see if they were hiring and discovered how extremely rude every single employee in the store was treating or first visit to this store. I would suggest going to Lowes or Home Depot and stay far away from this rude staff with no manners or respect to others or customers. Extremely rude staff. They also stated that you cant get a job working there as a cashier without a Drivers License. That is actually illegal to enforce upon something not required by the state of Texas to be a cashier. Excellent customer service. Competitive prices and great selection of high quality products. Just like a lumber yard of the 1960s. They load your truck for you and help with tying everything in place.....great bunch of guys!

I went in to buy BBQ Pit this morning. I agreed to pay their $75.00 delivery charge. You would expect that they would place the pit where you asked them to. But No, they can only drop it off in your driveway. The rest is up to you. What is the use of paying for a delivery fee? Management needs to learn a lot more about customer service. They list out on a $700.00 sale today and many more in the future. I guess this explains why there were more employees than customers. I wont be back!!

That place sucks. I was the first truck and didnt get unloaded until 9:00. People there are rude. Its the worst place to go in Corpus Christi. Management is terrible and so are the workers. Avoid if possible.

Had fence built. Pickets from MG are filthy and covered with mold. Bad idea to get pickets here. Told by installer they dont let you sort to find nice wood. Unbelievable.

Website not accurate. Called store to verify that sand bags were available to prepare for hurricane they said yes, drive 29 miles and they said ohh....thought you meant bags of play sand.

Cant believe they stay in business. No customer service whatsoever. Low quality materials. Wont price match when EVERY other yard in town is running specials on the same materials. Even their mark down merchandise is higher than the regular prices elsewhere.

Lazy staff. Delivering a load here. Was told i would get unloaded at 7:30. Then 8:00 still waiting at 8:30 to even get in the yard.

The entire management doesnt know what theyre doing. I used to work there and they complained about every customer and always talked behind the customers back. Poor customer service and even worse leaders.
