Very disappointed with JC Discount. After using them for service and oil for many, many years, they decided to not renew our boiler contract and tried to tell us that the boiler was too old. Are you kidding me! The boiler was just replaced 5-6 years ago. When I spoke to them in the office, the women on the phone said the pictures that the Technician sent indicated its an old boiler and the service manager would not renew. I asked to speak with the service manager and she would not transfer me to him and basically said, they are not going to renew and there is no point going back and forth on this Very rude and unprofessional and no loyalty to their long time customers. Others, also have better oil prices than JC Discount.Customers beware!

I have been a loyal customer for 5 years but this is worst customer service I receive from an establishment. The person handling the phone is very very rude. The person who is the manager and schedule department is very very rude. If I could give (-5) star that is what is deserving. I have cancel my service agreement and automatic delivery because because of the awful service. I am still in a state of shock how rude these people are to customers.

The rudest customer service ladies around. They are quick to hang up on you and pass you off. Good luck trying to get a price match like they say they do (on the phone they will tell you the can’t match and to go elsewhere ). After several years it’s time to move on and find another company like Slomins or Romeo fuel, were at least they care and want your business. It’s not worth the headache anymore!

I normally dont go out of my way to leave a negative review. However, the customer service was horrible from the start. The lady was extremely unprofessional and rude. Unwilling to do business. My call was a bother to her. I had to cancel. If I could leave a no starts I would.

Not sure how they are in business. I called for pricing, lady picks up “this phone number doesn’t work, try another one!” And hangs up on me. I call back, and immediately ask how am I supposed to call vi another phone number if they didn’t provide one. She starts to go ahead and tell me I was being hostile, when on the contrary she was the one who had an enormous attitude, was short with me, loud and not helpful whatsoever. Was calling to give them my business, but ended up having to write this review and I don’t write reviews ever. #STAYAWAY

Very rude customer service, just move to a house with oil for heating was trying to establish a relationship was rush off the phone and practically hung up on asking questions about me purchasing too much oil and what happens after, JC Discount Fuel, customer service needs to be your priority. Every time I’ve called for oil delivery and talked about prices cash or credit, they have been nothing but nice to me.They’ve been in business for 26 years so I tend to not believe it is the company but rather the individual and what they wanted and when they wanted it. I know people sometimes wait till the last minute and expect a company to jump after they bark out their request. Stay away from this place. I gave them chance after chance and they let you down each time. Whether it’s a service call that they reschedule and schedule you for 6 weeks later or the time when there is a Snow Storm and you need emergency oil delivery and they deny it.This company is simply UNRELIABLE! Like most discount fuel companies, they dont offer service or have limited service hours.....but this company advertise that they offer service! I brought fuel from JC for years, not a lot but WAS a customer. I had an issue with my boiler and was told they cant help me, because they dont travel to my area but they always delivered oil to my area? Clearly, they didnt want to come to service the issue. It was a Sunday and I understand I would need to pay a premium price for the service call but they didnt care that I had no heat! This is a company that doesnt care about its customers! Poor customer service and only interested in making oil deliveries, nothing else! I will never buy oil from these people again!

Rude secretaries and technicians. If you want your boiler cleaned, they’ll do it, but won’t vacuum out the mess that they create in the firebox. Oh and if you put antifreeze in your boiler they refuse to work on it. That’s inconvenient for me because they put in a new aqua stat for me before I put antifreeze in. Now that I have the new antifreeze in AND a heating problem that started when the aquastat was put in, they refuse to correct whatever problem was caused by the new aqua stat because of the added antifreeze. Now I have no hot water in my house, and a faulty aqua stat. I’m never using this company again, and I’m going to warn as many people about them as I can.

They didn’t put the right amount of gallons in my tank for what they charged me. Tried to talk over the phone but this company is ran by the rudest people out there and have no knowledge of what good customer service is. Never using them again. If I could give them zero stars I would’ve.

My worst customer service experience, ever, anywhere, in 32 years on Earth. The woman who took my order made TWO SEPARATE mistakes with my order that cost me QUADRUPLE the amount it was supposed to.When I saw this on my statement, I was a little annoyed but didnt freak because I know mistakes like this are easily fixable. Problem was, according to them there was only 1 mistake which they couldnt do anything about. Ever heard of a company who overcharges you by 4x the amount and just says sorry, we cant do anything?. Me either. Actually, I take that back, never once did the word sorry come out of her mouth, or anything close to that. Just an aggressive and nasty tone belittling me. It was if I was the bad guy for pointing it out.On top of that, I never had a chance to explain the second mistake because I couldnt get a single sentence completed without being rudely and aggressively cut off by the woman. After the 4th or 5th time she cut me off, I started to raise my voice, so she hung up on me.It takes a lot for me to get angry, but this treatment enraged me. It was like I was on one of those prank TV shows. In the long run I feel sorry for anyone who could live in a manner that is so distasteful and disrespectful towards others. Its sad.However, I couldnt keep this to myself. Ill freeze to death before they ever get another penny from me. Reading the rest of the comments, this is obviously not an isolated incident. What a shame.

They may have Competitive prices for fuel but they drive around Wading River like Maniacs on crack. Speeding on residential streets (Sound Rd) will only bring grief to a family after they killed a pedestrian.

I was in a jam with my boiler on a Saturday late afternoon of all times and in need of service. My mother in law recommended JC Discount Fuel Co. . I called praying I get a person to help. I was able to talk to the lady in the office and she was awesome. She was able to get a tech between 5-6 , at my surprise he was at my door in the window I was told. Bill took care of my issue with my boiler with no problem. Bill was professional and very nice.I would recommended this company to everyone. I have the utmost respect for this business. I am not locked into an oil contract and was searching the web for deals and came across JC Discount Fuel. The price was the cheapest around but I didnt need a fill up right away, so I scheduled an appointment for a week later. They quoted me 1.31 a gallon. That week oil prices shot up. I thought for sure they were going to screw me and charge me the new higher price. To my surprise they honored their word and filled me up at the lower price advertised. Its so rare to find anyone, especially a business who keeps their word. I am so thrilled. Thank you so much! You have a customer for life.

The worst customer service I’ve ever dealt with when ordering oil. I was supposed to get a delivery yesterday and it never came. I called and was told they lost my order. They had no record of it. Then, they promised first thing this morning. It was freezing overnight and we’re going to run out. One of us has the flu. When it still didn’t arrive this morning, we were told around 11 AM.. which is not first thing in the morning. That didn’t happen either. It got here at the end of the day. I’m lucky the pipes didn’t crack. Now I have to make sure they’re not double charging me.

Idk what people are talking about when they say friendly fast cuatomer service. Set up an appointment over a month ago and they cancel to remake for another month later as they said they called. I habe no messages from them to confirm appointment. They arent doing thier jobs and putting on the customer when there is a screwul up.

Terrible customer service. They made fun of my mother for speaking with an accent and when I called in to complain, the owner told me that they refused to do anything about it. She defended the actions of her workers (making fun of someone for speaking differently?) because she said that they were stressed. That is a horrible excuse. Had absolutely no compassion.There are way better places for better prices and they wont make fun of your parents while they do it.

I’ve been a loyal customer for 2 years since I moved to North Shirley and always called JC for oil. I placed an order for delivery yesterday morning for today and left specific instructions to call my cell phone when they were on their way. I am out running errands and it’s almost 3 pm and I called them to ask where my oil was. Got a nasty, unprofessional person named Robin, who kept talking over me and telling me they called the wrong number. I ask to speak to a manager who was just as nasty and unprofessional as the person before. She tells me, “well, you missed it. We can come tomorrow.” Ummmm, how about no. You just lost a customer. Plus, their oil is garbage. It clogs up lines anyway.

Rudest woman alive works here, tried to get me to pay for a 316$ bill that wasnt even mine, bc we had the same last name... they messed up and wouldnt admit it. BBB shut that down real quick. Good luck to the customers you still have, they wont be with you long.

JC Discount Fuel is the worst!! I am suing them for pretending to clean my boiler which caused a puffback situation and could have burned my house down or killed my family!! My clean up bill is estimated to be $8,000 to $12,000. Their technicians dont know what they are doing and even put the wrong nozzle on my boiler that really screwed up my system. And the owners never had the courtesy to return any of my messages. Cant wait to see them in court!! Dont let these guys near your house.

So today I pull up my street at theres a jc fuel truck sitting basically in the middle of the street and the driver hasnt started fu. The delivery yet so I lightly tap my horn so he can let me past and he ignores me obviously so I beep again this time I know he hears me then proceeds to do the delivery so I open my window Im yell what the hell you have room can you move over so I can get past ignores me once more so now Im reaching my boiLing point so I get out my car and wait for him to come back so he cant ignore me again and I ask again can you move over so I can get past he says can you give me a minute Im almost done so I say Ive bend sitting there since before you started the delivery I just got home from work I thought maybe you could move before you deal with the receipt and he starts writting his receipt so I go back to my car and move over towards the middle of the road so has trouble getting out and he tries telling me to get out of his way to which I say Ive been waiting and Im not backing up so you need to make room for me now hes like I got a 30 foot track I dont wanna run over anything so I say you shouldnt have parked in the middle of the street so were both sitting there and u say f this I shut off my car and went home and guess what he found a way past see that wasnt so hard

Wil not recomend to anyone!!After 15 years of getting oil from this company. I had to call them up to check mu heating system wich i serviced my self for the entire time. It just happens for me to be fat from home that day.The technician said it was the transformer.I was told. 95.00 for the service plus parts plus labor. Wich i agreeed.Transformer retaild 42.00 anywhereGuy was there 5 minutes. And gave my wife a bill for 300.00Saying that there was 95.00 service. 150.00 transformer and 30.00 labor..I complainted to the tech over the phone. And he said if i didnt like it. He will take transformer back. He hanged up on me. And he called the cops.I called their office and they were even more rude to me. Saying thats the price. So what.Police came and instead of making me pay. They ask me if i agree to the price i said no. They said they also agree with meThechnician remove the transformer. He didnt put the old one back. And left.This is a way to treat a customer. All they had to do is explain or mediate something since i was their customer for so long .I will never do such thing to my customer. Afrer all thanks to customers is how they put bread ob their table and so I.

Very bad experience had tech come look at boiler to get a service contract tech said he wouldnt cover motor because sounded funny I informed him that every boiler Ive had even new ones sound like that when it turns one needless to say had two other well known oil companies come and check out system both offer fully covered service contract.
