Had a very peculiar tire size. Needed two for an extremely rare vehicle. They had not only my tire size 195/70/R14 in stock but they have walk-in appointments available. We’ve been buying tires here for years. Service is good, scheduling is made easy by their online booking, and overall the staff are personable and competent. Prices are not always the lowest but very competitive.

I got there 20minutes before close with a tire pressure issue and they were so kind and helpful and got me taken care of as soon as they could. And they went out of their way to help me take care of a few other things on my tires regarding my lug nuts. Shoutout to Andrew and the other man that helped with my car!

Purchased brand new continental tires that they price matched from Sams club. I did this all over the phone and via web- road side hazard wasn’t on there when I had a nail in my brand new tire!I called and the manager out it in there for me, charged me and replaced my tire.. NOW that’s SERVICE! My first time buying brand new tires I am so glad I had my learning experience here and with these caring people!

First I went for a quote, the guy told me I was next in line and it should only be 5 minutes. After waiting 18 minutes I clicked on the link in the auto text they sent me and it said I was three in line. I ended up driving off then they called me and gave me a quote over the phone. The lie on the wait should have been my first clue but we are taking a trip and I wanted the tires replaced so I scheduled an appointment for the next day. I show up to the appointment and tell not one, not two, but three different associates that I wanted to keep the front right tire as a spare since it was fairly new from being replaced early. The tires were replaced quickly, I hopped in my van and drove off only to discover they did not put the tire in the back like I asked. I had to drive back and get it. Also, I have a veterans discount. I called ahead of time and told them about it and asked if I needed to pay online with the id.me to prove my veteran status. They said no, they will apply it in the shop. Before I called I ran through the routine online just before check out with my veterans discount and it was $740. When the guy rang me up, it was over $900. First he added a protection plan to my bill without discussing it with me first. Then he didnt apply my discount as I mentioned again right before he rang me up. So I told him to apply it and it came to like $870. I told him no that is not right. He then said oops- but I think it was on purpose, I only applied to one tire and I need to do them all. That brought the bill to $750, still not the $740 online. He didnt apply the discount to the labor but I had no more energy to fight and just paid the bill.This place expects you to bow down to their time table but they have no respect for their customers time they are wasting.Dont let the name fool you, the tires are the same price as anywhere else. I checked I could have gotten the same tires at the same price at Walmart. I will not be be wasting my time with these people again.

Brought in a couple tires bought elsewhere. Price for TWO wheels dismount, mount, and balance. Was short on time so I ended up at Discount Tire. Worst of all the prices quoted for this job. Ill bring the other 2 tires to Linder Tire.Cordial and professional staff, timely... but it doesnt make up for the prices baked into the business model.

I waited too long to find out they think I need new tires on the front so they wouldnt rotate my tires, which is a service they are to be doing free since I bought them all from them. I went somewhere else to check tires and they said I have another year on my tires. I feel cheated.

They were great we were on our way to Michigan for a funeral and we had a blow out and a slow leak. The employees took care of us and we were out of there with less than an hour.

Went here recently - the staff were super friendly and knowledgeable about the tires we needed for our car. We came here with a spare tire on - they inspected the old one and everything. Showed us our options on different tires they offered, waited maybe almost 2 hours and they even filled the other tires with air! Definitely a good place to get tires and have services done! Would come back here again with any vehicle I own.

My tire light was on. I had my tires filled at the dealer the week before and they were all at 32 lbs according to the door. I wanted to check that I didnt get nailed, so I went over. They told me the light was on because my tire pressures were 35-38 lbs and they let air out of them. Causing my tires to be at 29 lbs once they sat and cooled down. Making my light stay on. Thanks guys.

Driving by on I80 when we blew a tire on our camper. Called them up and Tyler was able to work us in immediately for a new set of trailer tires. After a brief tailgate in the parking lot, we were back on the road in no time!

I got a flat tire on my way to work and just picked them cause they were the closest. I’m glad I did. The staff was friendly and they were quick once they started working on my car. Unfortunately, they told me they were unable to repair my tire and I had to buy a new one. I’m not a tire expert though so I’ll take their word for it.

I wanted to recognize Discount Tire today, for being an outstanding store in the Coralville, IA area. My oldest sons car had a slow leak in the front drivers side tire. I took it in, was greeted within a couple of minutes outside by Mario (this is how theyre doing business, due to Covid) and asked how they could help me. I explained the problem. After a quick look-see, he had me park the car and told me it would be about 35-45 minutes before they would have it fixed. After 20 minutes Mario came out, showed me the tire and explained that to continue to use it would be a safety hazard. I agreed and asked if he had a used tire and if not, give me the cheapest new tire available (I told Mario our intention is to trade the vehicle soon). Mario went to look. He came out a few minutes later, told me he found one that would work, had it mounted and didnt charge me a dime! Now to be fair to the story, I had recently bought a set of 4 tires for my youngest sons car. The receipt he gave me showed a charge of $80 for the tire and labor but again, didnt charge me a thing. He just smiled and said, please consider us next time you need new tires.

I had my first experience with Discount Tire this morning and was very pleasantly surprised with my experience. The staff was very courteous and communicated well. They were straight forward about the time it would take and communicated my tire service needs well. After the service I asked what I owed them and they told me. No one comes to them on their best day so for simple services they don’t charge. They just hope I use them next time I need tires. I most definitely will. Great customer service. Came in for a tire warranty and I was in and out in no time. I didn’t like the presented warranty options so I got my tires fixed elsewhere. I didn’t think it’s the right place for my vehicle but it’s one of the more professional tire service locations in the area!

I had a trailer stranded when I hit something. I went to the Coralville branch. I told him the boat trailer was in a bad spot. I thought he would help me. He did not I went to the bottom of the list. Waited for hours. Terrible service.Also when he found out I was stranded the price was double what I paid for the last tire I purchased last fall same tire.

We got stuck in a snowstorm, were towed out and car had a wobble on highway. Three tire stores turned us away because of being busy , but these guys rotated the tires to get it ready, despite busy schedule. amazing that they fit us in , we needed to drive long distance next day, incredible service!

Got 2 now tires and asked the gentlemen to put them on the front tires because I have a front wheel drive . I will have better traction, stopping ability and steering. They insisted to put them on the back what they done . On top of that I asked to keep my all season tires and was charged the disposal fee for it anyway. I told them that I can’t afford to buy 4 tires , have my own reasons. Had to file for bankruptcy because everything is overpriced and the pay stays the same . And some medical issues ( surgeries) . My mechanic that can’t do tires said it itself that it makes no sense to get snow tires on the rear for a front wheel drive. Bottom line is that they saw me as a work and said she’s going to come back and spend more money for 2 more tires because she’s not going to get around with 2 of them . I feel very discriminated , what’s wrong with being a woman or being born in a different country. I hope you guys (discount tire associates)get the same treatment as I got in your store . Thank you.

Actively discouraged from making an appointment in favor of walk in. Tried to come in the next few days and was turned away. Begrudgingly, they made an appointment for me. Finally got lucky and they took me for a walk in to get a tire mounted. It took me 40 mins just to drop off the truck (literally just needed to hand my keys off). I know they were very busy but it was quite the struggle to just get a tire put on. Spent probably 2.5 hours over the course of a few days getting my vehicle in.Only thing keeping this from being a 1 star is the experience my fiance had this summer. They were very prompt and quick. Part of me wants to say I just had a bad shake, so Ill probably give them one more chance.

The gentleman that helped me when I came into the store was very helpful. I cant thank him enough. I told him I travel up and down interstate 80 often and I have a small car. When it rains my car hydroplanes and when traveling next to semis I needed some new tires. I had come in to their store with 4 very worn tires and only had money for 2. They worked with me on a price and I had 4 new tires and my car drives like a dream up and down the interstate much safer driving for everybody thank you thank you

Waited for 2 hours and never got seen. They took every car that came in after us before they took us. They only had 2 stalls open and about 4 people to a car. They were more worried about the pretty girls in line then the people next in line. Left after almost 3 hours of waiting and no service done. Considering the price of the tires and the time wasted waiting, I won’t be back.

When is the last time a business helped you for free? I had a flat after having new tires installed at a shop in Cedar Rapids just yesterday. Turns out I needed a new valve stem. They took care of me within an hour after just dropping in on them late afternoon. I will be giving them future business. 😁

I cannot rate this store highly enough. When I found myself needing a new tire at an inconvenient and unfortunate moment... Jesse answered the phone. He was quick and friendly. The crew there worked fast. Even finished the job well before the time promised. 10/10 will go back and will recommend!

Fantastic service at any store I’ve been to. Malik greeted me with a smile and I went in early morning without an appointment. I’m a traveling salesman and was on my way to my area when I noticed one of my tires had lost some air pressure so I figured I’d see if they could check it for me. They pulled my vehicle in right away, rotated my tires, found and repaired the nail in my tire within no time at all. Malik recommended I rotate the tires based on my tread depths. Best part of the visit was the friendly helpful smiles from all staff members. Josh and Pat worked on my vehicle and were very informative with what they found. Preston handed me my keys with a smile and was very thorough in his explanation of service. I didn’t even purchase my tires there and everything was still free!! Recommend to anyone and everyone to stop there!

The staff is always friendly and attentive. The facility is clean and provides free coffee and bottled water while you wait. They are very knowledgeable and provide helpful information and recommendations about tires.

They treat you well here. I had a small issue with my wheels and they fixed it in a timely manner. They do what they can to get you in and out as fast as possible. Highly recommend this location, have had a good experience every time

The prices are reasonable for some great tires, but its really the service that sets them apart. I did opt for the lifetime warranty, because it was less than 10% of the total cost, but I didnt get a hard sell from the employee, just a suggestion. Now whenever I need the tires rotated or whatever, I just stop by, they look up the car from the phone number, offer me some coffee or water while I wait 20 minutes in a comfortable seat, and then they hand me back my tuned up car.

One of the best customer obsessed experiences I have ever had! We stopped in to have my wifes van tire looked at. It had a small nail in it. They were worried about it being too close to the side wall to repair, especially since we are driving 15 hours back to VA later this week. The manager (Pat) was incredible and understanding. He offered to put on an almost new used tire for us at no charge. His main concern was our safety. We need more people and companies like this in this work. Thank you Discount Tire! We will be back!

Never been to this location before, but I have to say I did have a great experience. I bought 4 tires online and set an appointment for Monday. (ordered them Wednesday of previous week) I got a call from a gentlemen named Jesse telling me that unfortunately my tires had not arrived yet on Monday and said they would call when they came in. Obviously since my tires came from California I expected they could take longer. Came back Wednesday morning as a walk-in and they got my car in almost immediately. I’m waiting for it to be finished now. Kyle, the store manager made sure I was taken care of quickly and offered a hand shake when we meant. Honestly, that is some professionalism you don’t see anymore.

Fast reasonable service. I would definitely advise everyone needing tires to go here over Firestone and tire plus.They allowed me to bring in my own tps for my tires and put them on for $6 a tire. This was on a busy day.On another occasion they have me road hazard for free after I decline twice without blinking.These guys are great at this location.

When you go and get tires and a worker decides to rev your motor up as pulling in garage very not professional.

The service was friendly although there seem to be a lot of people running around it seems like they were doing nothing both in and out of the shop and buy the desk. But the service was good although it took them a long time just simply take off one tire replace it with another and put it back on close to 30 minutes. The staff though was friendly end I will be back for more service in the future.

Just got tires here. No problems...but drove about two miles to my place of employment & noticed a missing center cap. After returning to inquire if it had been put back on, I was notified one felt loose. So why wasnt I informed about this & why was this put on? Very unsatisfied. Wont return or reccomend to anyone

Fantastic service! We had a flat tire in the middle of a thunderstorm on our way from Chicago to Denver, so we stopped at this location to get it fixed. We were greeted and they looked at our tire right away. Since we had a certificate from tires we had purchased, they replaced the tire for free and got us back on our way in less than 45 minutes. So thankful for a quick and easy experience in the middle of a long trip!!
